Exactly. How would a chip in the ball know when a player was down? That element will absolutely still be a referee determination.

Does anyone actually think Bryce will actually be good?
KSpan replied to Panthers Fan 69's topic in Carolina Panthers
This is you, bringing Smith and Mills into the conversation about Bryce. This is you again relating those two to Bryce You are absolutely relating these players, possibly the only one doing so, and then somehow calling other posters stupid about it. But don't let that pesky fact stop you - by all means, please continue to demean us/others in your responses. -
For Those Who Think Brooks is too Small to be a 3 Down Back...
KSpan replied to chknwing's topic in Carolina Panthers
Texas listed him as playing at 207. https://texassports.com/sports/football/roster/jonathon-brooks/12405 216 may have been a combine weight, and those are of course always reflective of real-world -

For Bryce Young and Dave Canales, the emphasis is on details
KSpan replied to Carolina Panthers's topic in Carolina Panthers
Nowhere did I say an owner shouldn't be/isn't involved at all, so an unnecessary strawman there on your part. Your last paragraph is also idiocy because, as I said in my initial post, it's about priorities. If an owner's priority is to win then they may need to set the ego aside sometimes. Just because 'that's how it's done' doesn't mean it's for the best and some owners are sure better at things than others. Isn't that really the crux of it and what Carolina fans have been living since Tepper took over? -

And that's a problem. What is the owner paying their football people for if not to be the most knowledgeable about football-related decisions/items in their organization? Guess it just depends on what their priority is. -
Carolina Panthers @ Las Vegas Raiders Gameday Thread

I've heard meth is pretty cheap these days, especially in Vegas, but adderall might be hard to find. Oh wait... you mean upper deck seats. Never mind. -
I heard yall wanted Bryce to bulk up this offseason
KSpan replied to thebdawg's topic in Carolina Panthers
The arm is in a different position that supports more flexion in the picture on the right, but he does look a little biger overall. The rick will be #1 if it actually helps with his throw power since that is primarily lower body, and #2 if he is actually bigger, can he keep it on when the season actually starts? I'm a Bryce skeptic in general but if he turns it around and makes notable strides this year, positives in all aspects of that scenario. -
Those youth pastor vibes are definitely a pivot from Reich and Rhule.

Every Big-Time Throw from Bryce Young and CJ Stroud in 2023

Like how 20 yards downfield is a 'deep pass'. -

I never thought Teddy's arm would ever look impressive, but after watching Bryce last year... he we are. -

Outside of his toughness, what did he really do to 'deserve credit'? Those plays/throws are NFL table stakes that any/all QBs can make or they wouldn't be in the NFL, but the best ones make them consistently, and Bryce (just like the rest of the offense) flat out sucked last year. He individually was worse than replacement level and I don't feel the need to applaud that considering the cost it took to get him. If he improves greatly this year then everyone wins, fans and team alike, and he will 'get credit'. Until that point though the hole is deep. It is what it is. -
Had In-N-Out for the first time today. Great service, food was fine, nothing special. Very good pink lemonade though.

BREAKING: Panthers signing Rashad Penny
KSpan replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Chuba is the only non-question mark running back on the team. Trading him for what tiny return he might bring would be dumb. -
BREAKING: Panthers signing Rashad Penny

Between contract, performance, and the general sentiment toward the RB position, Sanders has less than zero trade value. -
I daresay folks only get roasted like this because they are the best. It's an honor, kind of like a musician being chosen by Weird Al for a parody.

Why would a team ever not be aggressive in improving the roster? It may look different from year to year but even the best rosters churn at the bottom. That's a no-brainer.

Panthers Select Jonathan Brooks RB - 46th Pick, Round 2
KSpan replied to Bear Hands's topic in Carolina Panthers
Come on now. You now that anything other than bubbling optimism, even if it's just a level-headed stance suggesting that only time will tell, is just pure hate. In all seriousness though there is way less idiotic Pollyanna roses-and-sunshine this year. A few still around, sure, but I think the reality of last year (that some of us saw as a very strong possibility...) really shattered some illusions for some folks. -

No hindsight needed. Even with the flowery write ups those moves were bad at the time, just like how relying on guys who have little to no experience at a key OL position is very risky at best and downright negligent at worst.
