  1. I'm giving points for the fact that they even signed Cam being an indicator of things changing. Maybe that ends up not being the case but a guy can hope.
  2. We've already seen elements of it with Sam. I'd assume that would at least continue, if not with some extra wrinkles as well. That said I assume the team will be cognizant of what brought Cam here in the first place: injuries. Getting Cam hurt accomplishes nothing, so hopefully they're smart enough to not go full Rivera and adopt an all-option running game.
  3. Or at least perhaps ceasing to be stubborn idiots.
  4. I think Cam is a shadow of his MVP self but has some quality play left in the tank and shouldn't have been dumped last year, so that's my starting point. With that said, what an admission of failure by the staff (I'll let Fitterer off the hook for the moment since he wasn't here last year). Maybe this even being a possibility at all is a sign that heads are coming out of shadowy places and some lessons have been learned.
  5. It sort of is though, as he could choose to do away with PSLs. Now, that's a way oversimplified statement and I'm sure would be a highly complex task. All I'm saying is that he as the owner is ultimately responsible for how the business is conducted, and if PSLs raise revenues but result in a lack of home field advantage as has been suggested, then that may seem to point at priorities At this point though PSLs are a thing ng in the NFL, with 17 teams having them and stadium revenue potential capped due to limited home games every year. Would be interesting to analyze if other PSL teams have any kind of effect on home win rate.
  6. "Much needed stability"... alrighty.
  7. Yeah, not sure I buy that for the timing. Perhaps someone more enterprising than myself can/will review the game and speculate as to what play vs NE might be the one.
  8. Taking this news at face value, the first thing that pops up for me searching 'fractured scapula': Again taking this at face value, that could explain a few things.
  9. Slye's gonna kick extra hard, but not necessarily extra accurate.
  10. Trey Smith has an 82.2 on PFF for the year and is starting for the Chiefs. He absolutely was the better and correct choice even without the benefit of hindsight, though I will concede that WFT picked an LS right after Fletcher.
  11. Bootlegs like that frequently have the line flowing like that to simulate a run and get the DL and LBs flowing that direction, creating separation between them and the crossing receiver. That appears to be a smart/disciplined play from the DE who stayed home or perhaps was even schemed to be watching for exactly that type of action on that play.
  12. Denver also has career NFL coaches running that show who have proven they understand professional football. I think Snow looks to be making/has made that transition but Rhule and Brady are still question marks IMO.
  13. By all means, please continue to completely miss and/or willfully ignore the point.
  14. I mean, Darnold did already achieve what Teddy failed to do in 8 tries last year. That doesn't make him automatically better by any means, but it does highlight the fortitude missing in Teddy's game. Not going anywhere meaningful without it; just ask the pre-Mahomes Chiefs.
  15. Didn't see a single State Farm ad with Aaron in it today. Not all that surprising, but a stark contrast to how the rest of the season has been.
  16. Denver also has the #3 defense by scoring in the NFL and caught Dallas on their worst day. Teddy and the Broncos have had their clocks cleaned by every other competent team they've faced, noting that garbage time have made things look closer than a few actually were (Dallas today included), and barely snuck by WFT. What does this mean? That Teddy is exactly who we know him to be, a middling QB who can avoid losing games when things are perfect around him but can't/won't elevate the team to rise to the level of higher competition. He's having a much better year than Sam, sure, but Carolina wouldn't be going anywhere with him and this staff except to perhaps a wild card loss. I'm not going to say that watching Carolina lose is a good thing because this is pretty awful, but it will be worth it if it exposes the emperor's lack of clothes and gets things on the right track. I will say I'm 100% with Jawny that last year was more than enough of Bridgewater's milquetoast BS when things mattered the most. Good riddance.
  17. Teddy absolutely was (and remains) a problem/weakness for any team that is hoping to have an offense that can consistently (key word there, as fluky games like today vs Dallas always happen) compete with the best. Carolina moving on was the right decision, but unfortunately it's shaping up like the braintrust (Rhule/ Fitterer/Brady/Tepper/whatever mix thereof) has made another poor and potentially even worse call. That's always a possibility with aggressive action.
