They did a good job with Kansas City as well. The skyline shots were the actual city, with one or two big liberties taken, and the downtown vibe was pretty darn accurate. The route they suggested out of town is actually somewhat grounded in reality as well, though again with some liberties taken.

Smith had openly talked about retiring after 2013, which probably drove some things the team did before that. I'm not saying Carolina handled it the best, but Smith was already winding down.

I need to see competence on display first but no question that it looks solid on paper so far, a far cry from the very obvious and predictable trainwreck that Rhule brought to town.

We've already had one used Carr in Carolina. Don't need another one.

I'm not offended at all - it's random stuff on the interwebs and even I rolled my eyes at Kelce's comments. It's always amusing to see what blanket statements get tossed out and every so often the chance to comment on them comes up. There are some real dumbasses around here just like everywhere but it's hardly everyone. Now to prep for the hundreds of thousands that will be out and about for the parade on Wednesday...

Soccer doesn't have nearly the same amount of abrupt cutting and starts/stops as football. Some, sure, but more forgiving of poorer surfaces IME.

I live in KC, have for many years. No, many, if not most, of them aren't.

Classifying an entire fanbase off of a ridiculous sterotype like that is pretty dumb. Kelce's comments were nonsense but this stuff is even moreso.

In the end, that fumbled ball ended up Hurting the most.

Fireworks going off around here even more than the 4th of July.

FWIW, while football is not an individual sport Sam's career win percentage is .381 in 51 starts and Brissett's is .375 in 48 starts while on at least 1 or 2 arguably better teams. They are, at worst, equivalent ways to get to the same spot, as you touched on in your first sentence. I'll take Sam and some, any, actual potential for downfield explosive football. Bridgewater's win pct would be right there with them if not padded by AP carrying the Vikings in 2015 and Sean Payton in 2019.
-
My point is that Brissett is even worse than Teddy, and absolutely should not be any kind of starter. Has Sam (or other guys like him) sucked pretty hard at times? Sure, but even those flashes are more than milqueotast on-field players like Brissett and Bridgewater. Maybe just perosnal preference, but no thanks.
-
Brissett is discount Teddy Bridgewater, zero upside and even less dynamics. Great guy, but if I'm going with a middling QB at least give me someone like Darnold that has a chance of making magic happen, a la 2021 game-tying drive vs Minnesota.

Yeah, but they want to put it where people actually want to be.

PFF Top 100 Free Agents and their projected contract
KSpan replied to Captain Morgan's topic in Carolina Panthers
All the best to Geno, but the prospect of giving him $40M per year is a very risky one. -
Brett Basanez actually got signed to another team.

If only Carolina had somebody like Bradberry on the roster in years past. ...

Wings, which is what they are.

Scott Fitterer.... let's grade his drafts and FA signings
KSpan replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
That's where the split of responsibility comes in. If Rhule had the control it's claimed he did, most Fitterer decisions have to be taken with at least a grain of salt; in the Gilmore example, perhpas it was Rhule who pushed for the addition. Now I'm not saying by any means that all good was Fitterer and none of the bad, just saying that it was a very unusual dynamic that greatly clouds the ability to judge. -

Perhaps this is just me hoping, but I'd like to think that he saw the failure that Rhule was/would be and felt he could leverage that into a job that wouldn't be working with Rhule for long and that he also wouldn't have to compete for in a conventional manner. He pretty quickly got more power last season and is now the full GM, and it wasn't a difficult path to identify. -
I thought so, but it seems I thought wrong.

I am almost 40 and have never heard the term 'flats' before today.

That last episode made me tear up more than once, and I'm not afraid to say it.
