  1. Exactly. No one rational would argue that Burns isn't a quality player. He's just not a game-changer, and if he were it would show up at some point regardless of number of chances. If it did then it may warrant game-changer money... however, in 5 years, it never has.
  2. Nah, but that's quite the blunder costing them the points.
  3. Five seasons of the same film aren't enough "cold hard facts"? Dude is a good, not great, player that seems to want to be paid like one, be it guarantees or high overall salary. There is no other potential holdup.
  4. Rashawn Slater was right there, but his arms were too short.
  5. Rashawn Slater was right there, but his arms were too short.
  6. Not sure if it qualifies since it sure isn't priced as such, but I have to go with 5 Guys. Double patties piled with pickles, grilled onions, grilled green peppers, BBQ sauce, a bit of lettuce, maybe some jalapenos... yum.
  7. So we like PFF this week then? It seems to vary from moment to moment.
  8. No one argues that. The rare person saying that people are making such a claim typically appears to be trying to deflect from one valid topic of discussion or another.
  9. But 'Bottom 5' does not mean 'can't play football.' They're still in the NFL and Thielen and Chark are proven performers to varying degrees. And I'm not arguing that they shouldn't try to/don't need to improve the group - of course they do. Fitterer has royally screwed up with his handling off Burns and the trade of Moore; no question at all that still having DJ would be way better than the current crew. But to portray it as if Carolina's receiving room is completely devoid of talent is not accurate IMO.
  10. Yeah, that's unheard of in today's NFL. And not only is Purdy on a rookie deal, he's less than a million per year. Bryce's rookie deal, for comparison on the polar opposite end of the spectrum, is $9.5MM per.
  11. I have no real opinion about Purdy but SF has about 50% of passing yards from YAC, just like many other teams but they are the highest in YAC per completion. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/years/2023/advanced.htm With respect to weapons, any QB would benefit in that situation but Purdy's lack of salary is a big enabler at the moment. Will be interesting to see where the performance lands in a couple of years when that dirt cheap rookie deal is gone.
  12. And yet still ignores the point entirely that Baltimore would match most any offer. Why waste the time? Back in the day a team could put a poison pill into a contract in this situation, a la Steve Hutchinson, to make a match untenable, but without that there was no way to do a contract that Baltimore wouldn't accept without seemingly destroying a team's own cap.Hell, of Lamar was that annoyed and wanted out then letting him fester with Baltimore might've been seen as a tactic to get them both to actually split, like LeVeon Bell. I daresay also that, on a general level, Watson's on-field performance last year set back the effort for fully-guaranteed contracts as well. In short, no one has yet proven that there was or was not collusion, but there are plenty of reasons supporting the idea that it was not required to achieve the outcome.
  13. It is not a zero-sum thing. The fact that there may not be X number of teams does not mean there are not quality players on a given roster and that all other teams are objectively bad. I'm sure every team would like to have all the best players. Probably because there is next to no one who 'despises Bryce'. Discussing poor play, of which there has been plenty across the entire team, does not equal 'despises' for any player. The melodrama... it's because Bryce absolutely did game the system in an attempt to maximize his draft prospects, but every player out there is interested in doing the same, just like how every person applying for a job tailors their CV. Discussing that has nothing to do with someone's 'integrity as a man'. And your use of 'hate' automatically discounts any other point, though those are silly as well. Hate, hater, hating, etc, are just dumb, overused, meaningless terms frequently tossed out by those not interested in having a genuine discussion. You have nothing of value to add to a conversation if 'hating' is you perceive anything that isn't glowing. With respect to the topic, first quarter was a bit ugly and the second quarter a little better, but the second half was his best this year by far. Made some very good throws, with the sideline ball and TD to Chark being exemplary IMO, and the 4th quarter was far better than the last Atlanta drive for me. The slow start on both sides of the ball hurt the team but the defense came up short overall, as 30 points is excellent output and should win any NFL game. Hopefully it becomes a trend to finish out strong.
  14. And Kelce is looking old, too. Don't really blame.him if he hangs it up after this year.
  15. He's pressing soooo hard and trying to make too much happen. This whole offense just looks like they got stale, and has all season.
  16. Davis reportedly regrets not hiring Bisaccia, so assuming that is true and given the job that Pierce has done, it seems a fairly sure bet that he does.
  17. GB sure wasn't ready for that sneak though. Good thing to put on film.
  18. At the risk of being brigaded by the Bryce Knights for simply commenting on what is on the film, he still has to put a lot of body into it those throws to get the ball 30 yards down field with moderate zip. It was excellent placement, one of his best so far, but doesn't say much about pushing the ball truly down or across the field since this was hash to near sideline. Again, this is just responding to the direct question about arm. Lot of other positives overall after the first quarter and that TD to Chark was truly a sight.
  19. Not really in terms of range, but after the first quarter or so his throws were tighter and he showed more anticipation. His TD throw to Chark was top-tier as well, best pro throw he has made IMO.
  20. I don't believe TMJ has seen the field since the Chicago game either. May not even be active.
  21. Brown was lined up on the same side as Burns for much of the game, so I'm betting they ran away from him intentionally. Even then though, they gave up a big run or two, one specifically to Jones that's in the highlights.
