New York Times: Is Panthers QB Bryce Young a Lost Cause
KSpan replied to electro's horse's topic in Carolina Panthers
With respect to being a true franchise QB, he never was an actual cause. It is what it is. -
Eric Collins Calling First NFL Game (ours)
KSpan replied to Daddy_Uncle's topic in Carolina Panthers
Anyone else remember back in 2010 when Fox piloted having music under the in-game replays during one of Carolina's games? Not the commercial bumpers but the actual replay clips that the announcers would talk over. Pretty sure it was vs the 49ers. And it was terrible. Point being, Carolina continues being so bad that we get the networks trying things out during their games. -
Agreed. IMO it's the Rhule effect and obsession with RAS, or even its predecessor, the 'Al Davis obsession with speed'. It's a college-type approach that leads to a ton of misses. Hurney did some of it too but seemed to be more along the lines of thinking guys could easily switch positions.

Mike kaye and josh graham on panthers issues
KSpan replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
It all hinges on the initial conversations between Tepper and Canales. Did canales swear he could fix Bryce and produce, or did Tepper tell him to try and that if it didn't work out he would get a shot with his own guy? -
Concerning Avg points per loss byPanthers HCs
KSpan replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
That's honestly even a bit misleading because year in and year out we see Carolina score early and then get completely shut down after about the 2nd drive until garbage time/the opponent goes into super soft prevent. that margin would probably be at least 2-3 points higher if not for garbage time scoring. Now every team has blowouts and gets padded by garbage time. However, games going all the way back to mid 2021 and to a lesser degree 2020 (moreso that teams started sitting on Teddyball that year and taking away the short pass) have followed this predictable game script. To me, that's a sign as much on terrible strategy/creativity as much as personnel. Which is the chicken and which is the egg can be debated. -
His contract is 6 years, and I agree that it's more likely that Bryce goes vs both of them being gone, for better or worse. Only scenario would be that everything has looked so poor/no one has developed, and that could still be the case

I just don't understand how he has made disaster after disaster of a decision. They were all such obvious things to avoid.

Nah. Anyone associated with the Fitterer tree needs to go and Tepper needs to hire an actual NFL expert (former exec, consultant, whatever) to completely rebuild the FO and select a coach while he has 0% say in it. Is that realistic? I dunno, but the man has proven for a decade now that he does not have the slightest clue about NFL football.

There is a difference between 'wants' and 'fullt expects based on years of available data'. For.antone who does actively want the team to be bad, it's likely based in the desire to hit bottom in the current configuration and move on (yet again...).

What is this play calling? Come on Dave, nut up and at least look like you're trying. -

Where was Wallace going on that play? Completely overran it. -

I feel like we have been watching the exact same game script for 6 seasons now. -

What a chickenshit 3rd down call. That was the football gods laughing at Canales. -

Man, that left arm looked nasty as he went down. -
There is absolutely zero chance Lamar was going anywhere. Baltimore was letting other teams do their negotiating and they were 100% going to match, full stop.

Definitely R.B.I. R.B.I. and Bases Loaded were solid, but Baseball Stars was the game that got most of my time, and Roger Clemens Baseball with the cool tagging/sliding minigame thing for close plays.

I'm just quoting to acknowledge your R.B.I. Baseball avatar.

Unfortunately, corners can be vertical in nature as well.

The multiple posts above me pretty much said it all. Arizona did literally everything in their power to gift the game to Carolina, which is why Bryce padded some stats, and Bryce and the team STILL couldn't get it done. Dude is just not good enough to build on, full stop.
