  1. Used to have some more but a lot have gone out the window now that we have three kids ages 4 and below... no time to be particular. Cash in my wallet must be ordered by denomination from smallest to largest (a practical idiosyncracy) and all bills must be facing forward, right side up.Shirts or t-shirts with loose or baggy collars are uncomfortable and will not be worn. When driving by a cemetery, I turn my car stereo down as I figure the dead don't want to hear it.My TV and sound bar have to be in exact square with the TV stand or it bugs me.
  2. Hill can't catch the ball consistently,a major strike against him unless something changes at caml. If Brown and Ginn perform and if Byrd can continue improving when the pads come on, Hill is gone. Frank was suspended, thus not taking a roster spot, and Hardy didn't count once he went on the list. The team had 5 on the roster for a couple of weeks and spent most of the season with only 4, and Kony didn't pay significant meaningful snaps until later in the year. They'll roll with 4 if they see better roster value elsewhere.
  3. Agreed, and I think Klein's more of an MLB anyway. Seems like he'd be a solid backup to Luke, and we know he can actually play. Maybe Mayo will look completely different in camp once the pads come on, but at this point it's hard to imagine Mayo being picked over Klein for reasons other than draft pick pride. Camp and preseason will tell the story.
  4. I don't recall reading a word about Brandon Williams at all during OTAs or otherwise. Was he working first/second team most of the time?
  5. Sherrod was pretty awful in 2011, though I do think putting him at safety was a bad move.
  6. To be fair, only about half of those actually deserved to be called. At least that was my conclusion after watching Boldin get away with an actual headbutt.
  7. Nice little vid. Those guys are big. When viewing this thread, the banner ad to the side is for the Speed Out damaged screw extractor.
  8. I don't see him taking a backup role unless that was all that was available to him.
  9. Considering that he made the roster for the first time, made some key catches, and held his own in the punt returner job (which he has no business doing in the future), I'd say he stepped up relative to his role. If he's good enough to make it this year, good for him. If someone like Hill or Byrd shows enough to supplant him, then the team is better for it. The fact that this thread is about to hit 20 pages over a potential fourth or fifth string WR is baffling when camp is still a month away.
  10. While out of context, Chandler's technique is not very good in Picture 6. Looks to be off-balance and over-extended forward, if not also a little high.
  11. Only once the season starts, and only one player can be designated to return. Any roster moves for these guys during TC will be waivers.
  12. I think your post is a bit off-base, though the question is valid. He was on the Dolphins and Niners for 3 years each, went to AZ because Carolina couldn't/wouldn't match the money, and came back when he was beat out as a receiver in AZ and they realized they had overpaid. I think he's a solid returned and average WR who teams moved on from when they decided he wasn't going to be a star WR. I think Carolina has him valued perfectly and, based on 2013, also understands exactly how to use him (Shula notwithstanding).
  13. One could argue he's the definition because he does whatever (and perhaps whomever) he wants without regard for societal archetypes.
  14. I didn't even realize your post had words in it.
  15. Should add that I also turned my brother, who is 23, into a Panthers fan. His sister-in-law is a Saints fan, so they get into it from time to time.
  16. Fan since the inaugural season in 95, when I was 12 (turning 32 on Saturday). Living in Kansas City, I was never a fan of any local teams except the Royals, so the Panthers are my first and only NFL loyalty.
  17. Nonequivalent comparison is nonequivalent.
  18. Needs to be careful with the hands outside the pads, but he absolutely has the tools and mindset. I would think that Brockel would be his primary competition.
  19. We'll have none of that here. He's still clearly incompetent for not paying Torrey Smith $8M a year.
