  1. As the dad just relax and listen to what's being asked of you. Also, don't be afraid to ask your wife what you can do to help but if she says nothing, accept that answer as well and just be there to support. All will be well and the baby will arrive before you know it.
  2. No chance they regret moving on from Teddy. They may regret something else, like not taking Fields as you mention, but taking the L on Teddy and making the change was absolutely the right and necessary thing to do, just like I assume they will move on from Sam if need be.
  3. Unlike last year, it's somewhat refreshing to feel like there is actually potential for upside at the QB position even if the odds are slim. Agreed that overall expectations are low overall.
  4. That's an interesting comment - was there any context? I'm not able to watch/listen at the moment.
  5. I was in St Louis that day, just a mile or two away form the stadium at some mandatory activity. Killed me not to sneak off and buy a scalped ticket but I choose to believe that the football Gods smiled upon my sacrifice and blessed the Panthers. We were back at the hotel for the start of the 2nd overtime and I told the guy next to me, "Big play to Steve Smith, right here." X-Clown then happened and I got a few rounds of free drinks for being psychic.
  6. Nothing more than any other loss. He may get a bit of grief from ex-teammates but I'm confident that life will go on for him.
  7. Should be studying the playbook... geez. 0-17 incoming.
  8. 5 and 3 are 2 ages, and (5+3)*2=16. The proof becomes more decisive.
  9. He led in depth of target per completion, not ypc.
  10. This was a short-lived thing years ago and is back again. I assume it will die out quickly again.
  11. He'd fit right in with the other injury-history players Fitterer signed this off-season. High-risk, high-reward I suppose.
  12. Would've loved to have had him here last year. Maybe it would have worked, maybe (probably?) it's a flaming train wreck, but it sure would have been entertaining watching him chuck bombs to that receiving corps.
  13. Where has Reddick been lining up most frequently?
  14. I wouldn't mind having more Rosario Dawson.
  15. I'm happy to see not only how well he blocks in-line but how well he moves and can locate and connect with defenders on the move as well. I'm sure there will be a learning curve as he adjusts to the speed of the NFL but there is potential there.

Conversely, it sounds like the perfect excuse to spend days watching past movies.
  17. True in a vast majority of situations.
  18. That's the point though - who is ultimately responsible for the performance and adjusting accordingly? Ron and Shula did nothing to adapt to the pass rush and Denver themselves said the plan was predictable. There were missed opportunities, sure, but Ron and the staff set things up for failure by planning not to lose from the outset. They were flat out outcoached.
  19. Ron's in charge of the coaching decisions and there was minimal game-planning and zero in-game adjustment so yeah, we kinda did. Refs or not that game was still very winnable and yet here everyone is having this conversation.
  20. It was so winnable, even once it started. Not a cakewalk by any stretch, but very winnable. And yet...
  21. Ah, that makes sense with respect to him. I know he was a great international player as well but didn't spend a lot of years in the NBA.
  22. Nah, I'm not saying at all that Sproles or Mitchell (or Hester for the matter) should definitely make it in. I'm just saying that I agree with an actual HoF voter, King in this case, that it's reasonable for guys like that to be in the conversation even if just by brief mention. If they happen to make it in then good for them. In all likelihood they won't, and they shouldn't over guys like Luke, Smitty, etc. With respect to the NBA I was very surprised to learn just a couple of weeks ago that Arvydas Sabonis was in. Maybe I just don't follow basketball closely enough but dude played like 6 years in the NBA... that blew my mind.
  23. If that response truly comes across as not calm or 'Karen-ish' to you, then you live an easy life my friend.
