The Appaloosa Modelâ„¢ for the win.

As with Teddy the team needed t .move on from Ron even with the potential downside, and unfortunately Rhule seems to be trending down. I'm just not that impressed with Tepper thus far.

Matt Rhule out coached by one of the worst coaches in the league
KSpan replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
That's a big amount but still only a fraction of Tepper's worth. If he's anything, Tepper has shown himself to be someone who is not afraid to throw money around. -
Eh, Alex Smith went 21 games in Andy Reid's offense without a TD pass to a receiver and no one is arguing he's worse than Clausen. It's unfortunate that Sam has infinitely better physical tools than Jimmy but all for naught without the acumen to go with it.

No facemask on Denver early in the drive, no holding on Bolles with his hand literally around Garret's neck on the play before... I despise the Broncos just about as much as Atlanta and NO.

I can't say for sure but looks like his responsibility is first rusher, which is the blitzer in this case, and then bouncing out. They were probably expecting the end to come upfield but he either read it or Minnesota had an advantageous coverage called that had the end reading/sitting. Can't definitively say that Erving failed here.

That's funny but looks like he was supposed to get contact and then move left to block the corner. The failure here was in that contact. And the answer is neither - they have nothing on Everette Brown.

The Panthers are expected to sign Ameer Abdullah

Good thought, though he does have 3rd down back-type abilities as well. -
I genuinely don't understand how if he's such a great guy and teammate he was so poor here and they were in such a hurry to ship him out. To your example, those comments came the day after the game; his entire press conference that was actually after the game was all 'we' even when asked about his god-awful throw and he threw the staff under the bus (quoted below) and pass the blame instead of just acknowledging his failure. It largely invalidates your quote IMO when it's been a day and closed-door conversations have taken place. It's fair in some situation to call out everyone as a leader of course but after such glaring personal mistakes, not a single 'I' in terms of accountability right after the game: https://www.si.com/nfl/panthers/gm-report/what-teddy-bridgewater-said-following-the-loss-to-minnesota It's this type of thing throughout his postgame talks - not every one, but often enough - coupled with the milquetoast play and bonus stuff like public excuses about practice when he joined Denver that left such a poor taste for many. If he's such a great leader and teammate, where was that at? I can't discount the possibility that Carolina's staff isn't fully inept and a morale killer, but it sure doesn't seem that way. Teddy appeared to earn his dislike fair and square.

Bridgewater(2020) vs. Darnold(2021) through 6 games.
KSpan replied to kungfoodude's topic in Carolina Panthers
No disagreement here, and perhaps my word choice is shaded by the direct contact I have with Denver fans who were convinced he was the second coming of Peyton out there after those first 3 games. I told them to give it until weeks 5 and 6 when some film was out there and competition was greater... lo and behold, there they are. -
Bridgewater(2020) vs. Darnold(2021) through 6 games.
KSpan replied to kungfoodude's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'm not saying that Darnold is going to magically improve but those 4 guys are all HOF tier, came from thriving and stable systems in their prior stops, and changed teams very late in their careers vs Sam who is still only 24 and coming from Gase's Jets. IMO the situations are not comparable at all. -
Bridgewater(2020) vs. Darnold(2021) through 6 games.

Eh, there's zero chance Teddy pulls off that 97 yard drive from last week. I think the best summation thus far has been that Darnold's capability is notably higher but floor is notably lower, and we're much more towards the floor at the moment. Teddy is currently in Denver and has crashed back to earth now that there is a few weeks of film on him and the offense again. I'm still very glad he's gone but man, short of that last drive on Sunday Sam sure seems to be trending sharply down. -
Are the 2021 Carolina Panthers worse than the 2020 Carolina Panthers?
KSpan replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Nah. Overall equivalent in sum at worst, though the mix of suck vs strength appears to be different at the moment. -
is darnold worse than teddy was?
KSpan replied to Sean Payton's Vicodin's topic in Carolina Panthers
I haven't said otherwise. -
is darnold worse than teddy was?

Sure he does. Threw 3 ugly ones just today. -
is darnold worse than teddy was?
KSpan replied to Sean Payton's Vicodin's topic in Carolina Panthers
Worse? Maybe his floor as other posters mentioned, but Teddy sure as hell doesn't go 97 yards like happened today. -
Ironic that the defense is failing at the end of the game.
-
And Darnold just did what Teddy could not in 8 tries. Let's see if they can get the 2 here.
-
No flag on that? Wtf.
-
NFL owes Carolina in that area after that Dallas abomination.

That was an absolute dime to Thomas.

Teddy Bridgewater Unfollows Panthers on Instagram

That's a spam poster that is a bit more cleverly disguised and keyword targeted. There are a couple that have popped up here on the Huddle.
