  1. Yeah, they're so impressed by their victory over the lowly Eagles.
  2. This will be a true statement game by the Panthers D. The excuse will be "Cowboys were on a short week".

  4. Bumping this thread. Is anyone else bothered by the way we're still using Chinn? think he's doing a nice job at FS but seems like they're really leaving a lot of playmaking opportunities out there in the secondary. We went from having a top playmaker at linebacker to a free safety who doesn't see a lot of chances to make an impact. Tackles Def Interceptions Off. Snaps Def. 5. From ProFootballTalk 2. Buccaneers (2-1, No. 1): As they proved last year, there’s nothing like a regular-season loss (or two) to set the stage for a postseason reversal. 8. Panthers (3-0, No. 10): They can win without Christian McCaffrey, even though it obviously would be better to not have to try. 13. Saints (2-1, No. 14): Given everything they’ve been through, two wins in three games counts as a great start to the season. 24. Falcons (1-2, No. 30): The Giants let them hang around long enough to do that which no one expected them to do.
  6. I think he's 2nd and yes that makes it challenging to get to him. I think our coverage has to be disguised enough to prevent him from being able to know exactly where the ball needs to go, make him hesitate just enough... We also run a unique defensive scheme, one that Dak hasn't seen before in the NFL. He had one day less to prepare for our defense than a normal week.
  7. It’s funny how the rationale for making picks is just about the QB. If there is one thing that negates great QB play it’s an elite pass rush. Panthers take this one
  8. There’s nothing wrong with being quiet or introverted. He came across as very humble and mature in this video. Nothing but good vibes for me
  9. They are more consistent in applying pressure than even Pep and Rucker were. Pep would have plays and games that just reminds you how unreal he is, but the pass rush with this defense now is more consistent and relentless. I would be interested to see stats comparison from Kevin Greene and Lamar Lathon led pass rush in 1996. They were really good.
  10. A bad situation or a coach can make someone not want to play the game or be miserable doing it. My hope is that our culture and environment will get Henderson back to where he was before getting draft. You don't become one of the best players in your sport without passion and desire.
  11. We're basically getting draft picks for picking them up for free. Jaguars could have signed Arnold as a FA, but he chose us. Instead, we were able to use him as an asset to get Henderson and a 5th.
  12. It’s called a rhetorical question, look it up i gave you my opinion
  13. Do we want the Cowboys to win? I feel like it’s better for us if they do so they’re not as desperate.
  14. The Panthers’ move to get corner C.J. Henderson is, indeed, an aggressive one. And a big part of why it’s a gamble is figuring out what Henderson mindset is. Much of the issue with Henderson, and trouble in getting him going the last few months, stemmed back to a simple question: How much does he really want to play football? Yes, I know people get upset when a player’s love for the game is questioned, but that was a very real thing for the Jaguars, and is especially vital when you consider how Henderson’s potential as an athlete has outpaced his production as a player. The Jaguars did their best the last two months to try and get the best from Henderson, and now the Panthers will get a swing at the same challenge. And if it works out, they’ll have two corners drafted in the top 10 playing on rookie deals when Jaycee Horn gets back from injury. But the “if” here is indeed a big one. • So why do the Panthers feel good about it? Their corners coach, Evan Cooper, gave Henderson his first scholarship offer, when Henderson was still on his high school’s J.V. team, and Cooper was on staff at the University of Miami. The two have remained in contact since, and so Cooper’s background with Henderson was a factor in bringing him in. Based on that background, there’s also a belief that Henderson will be a better fit for Matt Rhule’s program than he was for Doug Marrone or Urban Meyer. And we’ll invoke the “if” again here … If it works out, the Panthers really just moved one of their picks in April down two rounds (they sent a three to the Jags and got a five and TE Dan Arnold back), and they’ll have him for less than $1 million for the rest of this year, $2.48 million for next year and $3.41 million in 2023. https://www.si.com/nfl/2021/09/27/maqb-week-3-panthers-trade-for-cj-henderson-fields-belichick
  15. Well rumors can still be fake if you take a comment that someone has personal problems and you turn it into something bigger
  16. Apparently this is just a rumor randomly started on social media comment sections. Kid may be going through a tough time but no evidence whatsoever of any mental breakdowns or issues. Even if he had depression or anxiety, those affect more than 40% of adults 18-29 years old and should not be stigmatized.
  17. Thanks, I visited a few times but honestly didn't have a chance to read all the posts.
  18. I am as excited as anyone about the trade, but what are these concerns about his mental health or behavioral concerns that I keep seeing on Twitter? Any insights? I knew he was disgruntled but I didn't think he had any major character issues. I am hopeful that Fitterer and Rhule did their due dilligence.
  19. This. It's all about value. We're getting young players who are still on their rookie contracts at the ceiling that you could only pray for in a 2nd or 3rd rounder at those positions.
  20. Yes he even compared the Tremble pick with Chinn pick, someone who is very versatile.
