9th pick purgatory. Just take the best QB available or trade back and draft a prospect and hope either he or Corral can come good
-
Stephen Ross is Daniel Snyder and Donald Trump combined.
-
May become available I would consider him for sure
-
I'm 50/50 on this. I like Wilks and the respect he commands just not sure he can win consistently with his style of coaching. Harbaugh has proven he can win in the NFL and would be very exciting to have as a head coach.

Can Sam Darnold play himself into becoming the 2023 starter?
NAS replied to Verge's topic in Carolina Panthers
This is the Darnold we hoped to see when we traded for him. Should we forget about how bad he looked last year and look at his overall performance this year? He didn’t sulk when losing his job and continued to work hard so he could be ready to take advantage of his opportunities. He has played really well and with more poise than ever. I think Sam should be retained at least as a bridge quarterback while whomever is drafted this year and Coral have a chance to develop. Sam has shown that he can play in the right situation with the right coaching and protection. He still struggles when protection isn’t there and makes poor decisions. I think we may have already seen his ceiling, can make all the throws but inconsistent mentally to be a franchise QB. If he can somehow continue to develop that pary of his game he is still young enough. He has definitely saved his career. Imagine how badly Baker looked in this offense and Darnold was able to flourish. Perhaps with the Rams or the 49ers he could be a top 10 QB. Darnold has proven he still can be a professional QB in the NFL. Needless to say that trade with Jets looks a lot better than it did a couple of months ago. I know many Jets fans who wish they would have kept him instead of drafting Zach Wilson who looks like a total bust. -
There’s nobody worth trading up to. I would rather draft based on position or stick with Darnold on a cheap contract
-
We were playing a lot of man to man which we haven’t done much all year. And you especially don’t do that without Jaycee on the field. Wilks and his staff screwed up big time
-
Give us enough hope to get euphoric only to let us down. I knew Jaycee would be missed but I hoped Wills could at least scheme our way into a reasonable performance. Allowing Evans to have a Julio like game of 200+ yards is disgraceful. This franchise is cursed. We need a new head coach

Henderson is terrible

Yeah unfortunately I think this and the refs will push Brady to another playoff appearance

Shaq Thompson shedding some light about Rhule and Wilks.
NAS replied to Ivan The Awesome's topic in Carolina Panthers
“I would say just a lot of accountability,” Thompson said of the difference between Rhule’s and Wilks’ teams. “I think that’s one of the biggest things with Wilks. He gon’ call us out in front of everybody. And I’m not saying Matt Rhule didn’t. “But coming from somebody who’s been in the league ‘X’ amount of years and who coached in the league ‘X’ amount of years—T.O., as you know—a lot of players respect that a lot more than having somebody from college coming up and trying to tell people who been in the league six, seven, eight years, a defense, a MVP, a All-Pro player and not listening to these guys—who understand football, who understand the league, who been on Super Bowl teams, who won ’em.” -
Tepper - stop acting like Jerry Jones and just let Fitt and Wilks do their jobs.

Agh.. another QB needy team ahead of us.

Baldy Breakdowns on Panthers physical o-line and run game
NAS replied to Saca312's topic in Carolina Panthers
I like Baldinger as an analyst and listening to him review the tape, he really loves the X's and O's of the game. -
It's not real, but so funny.

Does he have any juice left?
-
Jake’s numbers aren’t all that great but he was a leader. We forget he threw a lot more interceptions than would be acceptable in today’s NFL.
-
I always hated Russ and I hate the Broncos because of SB50. Now I get to watch his career spiral down the drain to the point of ruining his so called legacy. And I also get to laugh at the Broncos who thought they could buy another championship instead ruined their chances for years because of a guaranteed contract. Hahahha

If Bucs can somehow lose to the terrible Cardinals, Panthers will take the division lead
-
Darnold has a few things going for him, he’s young, athletic with a strong arm, has decent mechanics and can make all the NFL throws. His negatives have been all mental. He looks more comfortable than I have ever seen him. I still think it’s hard to tell how much he’s limited by McAdoo’s putrid passing scheme.

I think we know the answer to that

Most overused cliche in an argument. Fact is many times guys just have some bad luck and may have a string of injuries then play years without missing a game. Especially if you’re talking about non soft tissue related injuries. Thomas Davis came back from three ACL injuries and then missed only 3 games for the next 6 seasons. Works both ways, some who never got hurt suddenly can’t get on the field. Jonathan Taylor never missed a game in HS, college, or NFL until this season and suddenly mister reliable can’t get on the field and has to be placed on IR. Bottom line, stop saying that Jaycee Horn is injury prone. Yesterday’s injury was unfortunate but any player in the same position would have suffered the same injury. There’s nothing inherent about his style of play that would even remotely suggest that he won’t still have a long and productive NFL career.
