Fitt admitted on NFL radio yesterday that lack of premier edge rushers on the opposite side of Burns will be a weakness that Evero and his staff will have to scheme around during the season. It will essentially be pass rush “by committee” (his words) and mentioned how will have to rotate based on scheme and situation. It sounded like he is still open to adding more but that free agents are too expensive and teams put a premium on pass rushers and won’t easily let them go. He talked a lot how much he trusts this coaching staff and Evero to maximize the abilities of this roster

I will take a contract year performance if it helps us win the division and make the playoffs, even if he ultimately signs with someone else for the big payday.
-
Forget about it, you can only have one big contract per position and Burns deserves one first. We just have to hope that we have found complimentary pass rushers through the draft or free agency cheap vet deals.
-
Apparently he is really stepping up this camp and may resurrect his career. It would be a welcome surprise if he can live up to his potential in this new defense under Evero.

Keep doing you man, but you’re missed

That was weird, maybe that it’s soft or whatever. I would have taken more offense at him calling Dalton the starter lol

Not bad, the Shaq INT was just a great play to undercut a receiver

I have a feeling the defense will be nasty this year. Glad to see Bryce staying after to work on some routed with TMJ. Thanks for the writeup.

Salah is a good head coach and a great motivator. Jets will demolish the Broncos
-
I may be in minority but glad to see CJ and the defense playing well and challenging Bryce. Mistakes happen and the sooner we can get used to the fact that a QB will throw INTs once in a while the better. I feel like trolls are looking for even the smallest reason to throw shade on Bryce.

The last guy hid behind this word to excuse his failures. When asked to elaborate on the process he never could.

Assuming the goal is winning a SB, then 2-4 years sounds great to me!

Looks like we got a pretty fair deal. Some people here just look for reasons to be miserable. These are guaranteed earnings for the life of the contract. We got rid of a very expensive and risky CMC and got a top 10 running back that can run and catch at much lower risk.
-
So $7MM a year is high priced now? Lmao
-
I am glad we didn’t lowball him. He is being paid fairly and will validate his contract. How hard do you think a $2M running back will play making less than a kicker. It’s a shame what the NFL has done to the RB position

Anybody else think we are putting to much on Bryce's plate?
NAS replied to DennisM1's topic in Carolina Panthers
Not if he shows he can handle it. I trust this coaching staff to bring him along at his speed. -
Sam Bradford wasn't even that bad, he just couldn't stay healthy. It's the lazy ass Jamarcus Russell types you have to avoid.
-
Rivers will definitely get in. He was consistently a top 5 QB for a decade or more. Russell Wilson tarnished his legacy last year, if he continues to regress I don’t think he makes it
-
If Cam won the SB his MVP year he would easily make it. But unfortunately he didn’t play long enough to make it easier. But he undoubtedly changed the game, set records which may not be broken for a long time, etc.

Mecklenburg County manager says no to public funding for Panthers
NAS replied to SaltAndPepper's topic in Carolina Panthers
Probably true if you look at it from a stadium perspective only, but what’s the ROI on having the Panthers team in Charlotte and in NC? Hypothetically speaking if Tepper moved the team to a city that is willing to subsidize a new stadium, do you really believe there wouldn’t be a substantial economic hit to Charlotte and the Carolinas? -

Sorry but city will have to contribute, there is a huge economic benefit associated with the Panthers that cannot be ignored. However, I don't think the City should contribute more than 25-30% of the cost. The rest should be covered by Tepper and the state of NC.
