  1. Unfortunately it may be. It also makes me question the glowing report outs from camp.
  2. Post your thoughts and reactions here about how Panthers are portrayed. Hearing Quinnien Williams brag about 10 sacks in joint practice seemed a bit over the top. But then again our offensive line is trash
  3. Just goes to show you, you can never draft enough offensive linemen for security. These guys get fat and happy if they don't feel competition coming.
  4. Notice who’s holding the pads
  5. Yes they’re my expectations and others clearly agree. Who are you to speak for what’s realistic? winning this weak division IS realistic
  6. Several of the recent posters don't understand the topic here. It's expectations of the season. All I'm saying is I'm not willing to lower my expectations for what this coaching staff and GM needs to achieve this year. This same offensive line won 7 games last year. This same defense has now been upgraded, so expect them to perform better this year. QB, while a rookie, is still supposed to be better and give us a better chance to win than Baker or Darnold, or PJ Walker, etc. etc. etc. That's the topic. Playoff or bust is the expectation.
  7. we're talking about expectations, try to keep up. If you expect this coaching staff to win 7 games like Wilks/Rhule with lesser talent and better coaching staff, then I don't know what to tell you.
  8. Haha some of you may be ok with giving the Bears a top 10 pick next year but I'm not. This fanbase loves mediocrity lol
  9. I feel like OL depth has become such a need across the NFL that you can get away half assing your way through the NFL and not have to work hard to get better.
  10. I'm pretty sure Fitt and Reich both said they're expecting to win this year. You're giving them a pass even when they say they should be competing for the division title?
  11. This is a fair point, I absolutely think Fitterer should be on the hot seat and be fired if this team underachieves and hands the Bears a top 5 or top 10 pick. I still think this coaching staff has enough pieces to have a winning record.
  12. Indeed - but I remember it felt way worse than Seifert's though.
  13. Disagree. 2011 came after 1-15 season. We didn’t earn the #1 pick this year, we traded up from #9 to get Bryce Young after finishing 7-10 and second in NFC South. My expectations are more 2013. Playoff appearance.
  14. I am talking about expectations for the season. Wilks almost made the playoffs and won 7 games with less talent overall. Some are saying not to expect playoffs with more talent, an upgrade at QB and significant investment in coaching and assistants. I refuse to downgrade my expectations and I hope Tepper doesn’t either.
  15. And we have the NFL’s most expensive and experienced coaching staff. Time to earn their keep and get the most out of this roster. In the weak NFC it’s a reasonable expectation. Wilks did more with less
  16. As I said in the OL thread, they ran stunts on Wednesday in joint practice. They struggled then and did not learn from it. Very concerning
  17. This. He passed the eye test.
  18. Nobody said anything about giving up. It’s about demanding more. Tired of mediocrity. Same goes for Fitterer. He’s been bragging about how they addressed the offensive line last year.
  19. With the coaching staff that Frank Reich has assembled, anything less than a playoff appearance should be considered a failure. The terrible performance we saw yesterday makes me question if Frank has this coaching staff working as a team or if there are too many cooks in the kitchen and not enough of accountability. And no it’s not an overreaction, I don’t even care if we win or lose in preseason. But let’s not sugar coat thing. Every team plays their scrubs in the preseason but don’t look like complete incompetence. In fact, I am more angry today, having processed the game, than I was yesterday. Better figure it out quickly Frank! The honeymoon is over.
  20. Damn I forgot we have to relive this embarrassment on the next episode of Hard Knocks
