Not sure if this has been said already (haven't read all the pages), but saying that a player "isn't available" is just a negotiating tactic to drive up the price. EVERYONE is for sale if the price is right.

100% agree, he was my top choice from the beginning but I'm still rooting for Bryce to do his thing. But CJ was the clear cut top choice based on both his physical abilities and tape in college. I was a little caught off guard how quickly he's ascended with the Texans though, especially as a leader. He seems a lot more mature than just a few months ago.

We texted a couple of weeks ago, just checking in on each other and it was nothing about football. That’s not our relationship, but personally, I think he’s playing well and I think he’ll continue to be great in this game because he has that swagger and mentality and that type of playing style.” Stroud has completed 60 percent of his passes for 1,660 yards with nine touchdowns and an interception so far this season. True - but he's no DJ Moore replacement as was kind of sold to us.

The scouting report on him coming out of college was that he wasn't great at creating separation, was just really good at catching contested balls and running after the catch. The career production is nothing special, but it’s clear he’s put time and effort into his craft. He runs crisp, well-paced routes and ramps up his focus when it’s time to go get the football. Mingo can get tough yards after the catch and is an above-average blocker. He has the skill level and demeanor to become a starting slot receiver for teams using 11 personnel (three WRs) as their base offense.
