Agree. I would rather roll with Lance

Grant Cohn (@grantcohn) Tweeted: SOURCE: #49ers have the inside edge to land Matthew Stafford https://t.co/ctB0S7wZLu https://t.co/xWja0KEei6 “The source did not say what the 49ers would have to give the Lions to get Stafford, although it’s presumed the 49ers would have to trade at least their first-round pick this year. Nor did the source say whether the 49ers are Stafford’s first choice. He most likely would love their head coach, Kyle Shanahan, plus their star players such as George Kittle, Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk, but probably wouldn’t love the California state taxes. Still, the 49ers probably would give Stafford his best chance to win the Super Bowl within the next couple years.”

If the Panthers land Stafford, it is win now, not rebuild

Because odds are significantly better to draft one in round 1 than drafting a prospect in the later rounds. Nobody said it's guaranteed. -

Unless you're ready to win the SB, it makes no sense to trade for a QB that has only 4-5 good years left. We have major holes in a lot of areas that good coaching won't overcome. 9-7 is attainable, but it would be lunacy to trade for a veteran QB just to achieve that. -
That’s amazing. I don’t think we can stay put at 8

Jordan needs to step in

The context was about how some people criticized him for making too many changes too quickly as an owner and that others criticized him for not doing enough like "getting rid of Rivera" sooner.
-
Anyone hear Tepper slip up and say "got rid of Rivera" LOL
-
It's not even that, I think some people are just nervous at public speaking. Not the number one skill for a GM to have.

Breaking down the David Tepper interview - My Thoughts
NAS replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Good leaders admit when they make mistakes. Glad to see he keeps his ego in check. This was a very good interview -
Man City or Man United will win it this year. This is one of the most exciting seasons ever because there's only 10 points separating 1st from 10th.

Supporters section is tempting but I already feel too old for that. I plan to be taking my 10 year old son to games so general or premium seating is what we'll be looking at.

Confirms my fears that we will need to trade up just to ensure a QB falls to us. https://sports.yahoo.com/2021-nfl-draft-q-bs-could-go-even-higher-than-expected-with-all-the-teams-that-need-one-191058966.html “With all the forecastable changes at the position, there’s an argument to be made that half of the NFL’s teams might be seeking a “franchise quarterback.” A fair share of veteran quarterbacks will fill some of those spots, but it’s becoming increasingly clear that multiple rookies will make up a notable piece of that picture. Expect the top of the 2021 draft to be quite QB heavy as teams jockey to land their preferred choice. Scenario where five quarterbacks land in the top half of the draft (possibly even in the top 10) wouldn’t be a stretch. So if you want to snag one, you had better already be picking high — or be prepared to pay a premium to land in that range.” “Lance could end up one of the best quarterbacks in this class. He has tremendous ability, difficult as his projection might be. The team drafting Lance, however, almost certainly must buttress having a veteran option in place to start Week 1 with the assumption that Lance will need time to develop before he’s ready to start.”

Watson not the only big name vet at QB that we're looking at?
NAS replied to ncfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
No thanks, Stafford is on the back end of this career. -
Sad he never made the superbowl but choked in big moments.

Another bad contract, should have kept Star.

I would be elated if this happens

Speaking of Dan Morgan and Fitterer...
