  1. Pretty much the same player. Good enough to win a few games, but also remind you why they’re not a franchise QB due to inconsistency . PJ is a solid backup but just like first half today he will not be able to carry this team into the future. He has limitation in seeing the field and missing wide open throws.
  2. Anyone still getting the stupid ads?
  3. Even Shannahan running him into the ground in garbage time
  4. Couldn’t script it any better. Team playing hard, young players like Marshall developing but man we desperately need that draft pick to secure our future.
  5. We need to lose this game and get a real QB in top of the draft
  6. It’s exactly why I am concerned. Most of those teams won’t pass on a chance to draft a new QB
  7. Right now we’re third in the QB sweepstakes as both teams ahead of us need one. If we win three or four more games, chances are we’ll miss out on getting one of the top QB prospects Pick 1 2 Detroit Lions 1-5 · Strength of schedule: .650 Biggest needs: QB, DB, DL Week 8 opponent: vs. Dolphins DP: After scoring six points total in the last two games, the idea of a fresh start at quarterback must sound like a pretty good idea in Detroit, which is in line to pick inside the top 10 for the fifth straight year. Pick 2 2 Houston Texans 1-4-1 · .402 Biggest needs: QB, WR, Edge Week 8 opponent: vs. Titans EE: Understandably, quarterback is the position everyone is focusing on, as the Texans currently are holding two top-five picks. But there could be a significant overhaul at receiver, too. Pick 3 2 Carolina Panthers 2-5 · .458 Biggest needs: QB, WR, DL Week 8 opponent: at Falcons DP: Running back replaces defensive line on the needs list this week following the Christian McCaffrey trade. Complementary back Chuba Hubbard is the only Carolina rusher signed beyond this season.
  8. I thought it was just me. Is @Zodthis desperate for ad revenue that we have to deal with this crap?
  9. Can we just admit that Fitt got it absolutely right with Horn and Ickey?
  10. It’s possible but far more unlikely. Wouldn’t you rather be in position to draft who you think is the best prospect than to hope someone falls to you
  11. Classic whatabouttery. We want to win consistently and have a chance to win a SB every year. There is no magic bullet to win the SB, but without a franchise QB in today’s NFL you almost have no chance. And it is statistically more likely you find one at top of the draft like Peyton Manning than 6th round like Brady
  12. So Cam Newton was not worth the 2-14 season in 2010 because we failed to win the Superbowl? Or Joe Burrow to Bengals at #1?
  13. PJ is the next Kurt Warner, haven’t you heard?
  14. Don’t you know you’re supposed to overreact to one win
  15. If Trevor Lawrence was on this team it’s probably a playoff team. Jags have too many other holes. It’s pretty stupid to say it doesn’t work. You can build around s franchise QB, but you can’t win without one no matter how good you are at everything else
  16. Not asking players or coaches to do that. I am speaking as a fan what I wish for. a GM can influence it by trading away assets we don’t intend to keep
  17. Yes yet we’re being attacked for being Panthers fans who want us to get a high draft pick and rebuild properly.
  18. This is my definition of 'tanking'. Nobody is asking the coach or players to throw the games, but stop with the euphoria about winning the NFC south and going to the playoffs. It's stupid and unrealistic. I want to see our players develop, work hard, show improvement and ultimately lose meaningless games so they can actually win meaningful games next year and beyond.
