Panthers in the Market for a QB (again): 2025 Draft
NAS replied to MHS831's topic in Carolina Panthers
All for drafting one if he is BPA, just don’t reach or give up additional assets -

REPORT: Panthers will not trade Chuba Hubbard
NAS replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Basically telling the rest of the NFL his price went up -
Injuries suck Looking to next year, we will have a stud on each level of defense to build around. Derrick Brown Trevin Wallace Jaycee Horn need to draft well and continue to find quality rotational backups, it will take 2-3 seasons to rebuild this defense
-
Yes, kicking the debt down the line and they have nothing to show for it. Chickens are coming home to roost
-
If I look at future at least we can do something to turn this around next year. We will be finally out of the dead cap and can rebuild roster, draft or sign a QB. Not sure you realize what kind of cap hell the Saints are in. They won’t be able to get out of it for years, even if they try to tear it down and rebuild after this year.

It’s like a Ponzi scheme, sooner or later it catches up
-
I know they’re better now but their cap situation is absolutely horrific and they won’t recover for years. They either have to completely suck for a few years or continue restructuring contracts into the future. This was started by Sean Payton who tried to kick the can for a few years and is the main reason he retired in the first place.

Exactly you can build a team around him, not every QB has to be elite or a future hall of famer to have success as a team
-
Funny because Delhomme was very average, had a lot of limitations, pedestrian stats (threw a lot of INTs), but was just clutch in most games except that Arizona debacle in 2008. I'm afraid we keep looking for a perfect specimen we'll be stuck. Fields has a lot of redeemable qualities, he can become a better passer. I don't believe that people can't learn to see the field or read defenses better. But you can't teach size, speed, arm strength and athleticism.

I agree with the OP, it’s better to build the overall team and insert a QB. Constantly swinging and missing or reaching for a perfect QB is dooming the franchise to a decade of basement dwelling in the NFL.

Are we now actively pulling for David Tepper to fail?
NAS replied to Panthers Fan 69's topic in Carolina Panthers
Isn’t that like biting my nose to spite my face? I could never root for this team to fail no matter how much I despise Tepper
