I would give Dan a chance, he's got enough experience at this point and my sources say he's the only one in the room with balls to disagree with Tepper.

With Panthers cleaning house how safe is Bryce
NAS replied to Frank9999's topic in Carolina Panthers
Is Young part of the problem because he played terribly as a rookie and did not live up to the hype. Yes. Is it hard to cast total judgment on him as a bust given that the entire offense is ass. Yes. Again, it doesn't help that Stroud broke some rookie records and looks like an all pro. It hurts me to say that I was totally right during the draft process that he should have been our first choice. -

I'm not buying this anymore. Playoff threshold isn't that high if you have a solid roster around the QB. Look at the Lions, Bucs, etc. -

I think the new GM needs to focus on building a solid roster and give Bryce one more year to develop. If he stinks again, the worst that can happen is we have a top 5 pick in the draft next year and can try again with drafting another QB, or look to sign a free agent veteran to compete with Bryce. -
CJ Stroud is apparently a generational talent that would have been actually worth the trade. Welp

Off schedule plays, sure and he's shown he can do it even when scrambling. But it's another thing to be constantly trying to throw while being on your toes because you have pressure in your face. That's not a recipe for sustained success.
-
I think problem with him generating velocity is poor foot work. He's essentially throwing on his toes, instead of planting his back foot. But I think he's doing it to overcome his heigh problem so he can see/throw over the line. Either way, it's not good but I think his arm is strong if he can set his feet which is why he seems to throw with more velocity through open passing lanes.

I hope it's us keeping it quiet. Last time we cast a wide net and announced all interviews it didn't work out well.

I think you let Bryce play next year and if he sucks at least you have a top pick in 2025 to start over -
That’s another topic- it was a terrible trade from a value standpoint. But it’s a sunk cost, the question is can Bryce still develop into a formidable starting QB?
-
I think Purdy would look terrible in 2023 Panthers and would probably finish with a similar record. Rookie Bryce would have played well on Shannahan’s offense under his coaching
-
Neither does Brock Purdy
-
Yes I think this is true.
-
Or maybe if he disagreed, Tepper now realizes who the voice of reason was in the room and gives him the power to get things back on track?
-
So was all that about Fitt walking into Frank’s office and him saying “it’s Bryce” a fabricated story by both?
-
On other teams they so. Baker looked like he should be out of the NFL last year he was horrendous here and he had DJ and CMC I have low confidence in being able to evaluate any QB on this team. Bryce looks bad. If Bryce gets cut or traded, he probably becomes the next Drew Brees somewhere else.

What were Beane’s successes before he became the GM? Morgan was successful with Bills as director of personnel.
-
I know a friend of friend that has a source close to Dan Morgan (not exactly Schefter reporting so make of it what you will) But what I remember is even when we thought everything was cool and most felt good about Tepper’s hires and direction of the team, he told me that Tepper doesn’t know what he’s doing and is driving the organization into the ground. He said that in the front office, Dan Morgan was the only one who would speak truth to Tepper and butt heads. I truly hope Dan would get the chance to replace Fitterer. I think he would not be a yes man and would actually bring some credibility to the organization. Yes he’s part of the staff now but he was not behind the terrible decisions. In fact I would bet he was probably the only dissenting voice in the room. Much like Brandon Beane, who should not have been judged because of Hurney or Gettleman, he needs his own chance to shine.

Mayfield Darnold All looking like they can actually play Bryce would have probably broken rookie records if he played for Shannahan. Yes we should have picked Stroud but he would have probably looked like dog poo on this team There’s some kind of a Jets like QB curse on this franchise We’re doomed with Tepper

Apparently Harbaugh Still wants the job here. But Tepper doesn’t want him
NAS replied to ncfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Harbaugh and Tepper would mix like oil and water. Tepper just sucks and he is too prideful to hire someone who is better than him at something. Napoleonic complex at its worst -
Tepper will forcd his own exit, he will try to move the team then be blocked and forced to sell
-
He's already caused the logo the embarrassment with the Rock HIll fiasco He's driven Panthers organization into the ground and poisoned the relationship with fans Stadium is empty - if it isn't filled by opposing fans. It only takes 24 out of 32 owners to vote yes for his removal. It's a slippery slope but I think the latest incident is at least starting the conversation. More allegations will start coming soon because a terrible person like Tepper surely has a lot of skeletons in his closet. An no - he will not be allowed to move the team, he has zero credibility to do so.
-
I think it's far more likely that the NFL would oust Tepper before they would allow him to move out of a top 10 market in one of the hottest growing cities in the US
-
Meh he’s a rookie, too early to make that call
