  1. It might be just as good or better of an investment long term to invest in the Soccer team.
  2. They have to stir the pot to try and keep their ratings at a decent level. The only time I hear anything they say is when others repeat it on a different forum.
  3. I don’t necessarily think telling your coach to sign Cam in this case makes Tepper a “meddler.” I feel he does stay hands off 99% of the time. It is a business. At some point I think an owner has a right to step in if he sees decisions made that cost him money ( empty seats).
  4. I think most of us have thought about about all that got us to this point. I feel very strongly that Rhule did not realize how difficult it would be to find a capable replacement when Cam was released. I do feel that Cam perhaps overestimated his value on the market. Not every coach can deal with the strong persona that Cam brings. A lot of egos led us to this point. I do think that (though everyone involved would not admit it) all parties realize the Panthers need Cam, and Cam needs the Panthers. I just hope this has a happy ending.
  5. Do we truly know what we have in P.J.? Do we need to give him some reps as well as Cam? He actually looked good yesterday against one of the top ranked defenses. Although we will know more after the Washington game, I hope Cam and P.J. Can perform at such a level that we feel confident drafting for offensive line this draft without having to draft a quarterback. I think P.J. Deserves a long look to at least be considered a long term competent back up. Thoughts anyone?
  6. I bet this is the best day Aaron Rodgers has had all week.
  7. I am not sure all transactions made by Fitterer were his decisions alone. I think we know Rhule has more or less been given final authority. I would love to know who had the final say on Darnold. I was hoping we would not regret passing on A couple of these young quarterbacks.
  8. I cannot see Rhule getting fired with the massive contract he has. It could he a buyout if he and Tepper both agree. I don’t see firing Brady only to promote Sean Ryan to offensive coordinator, he hasn’t exactly impressed me as a quarterback coach. Putting together a coaching staff without more seasoned coaches on the staff has been a misstep. I do think Fitterer will be ok long term. I believe Rhule controlled draft picks as much or more than Fitterer. Remember the joke about Matt Rhule’s wife liking Chiba Hubbard, asking for him to be a draft pick? Might be one of the more solid picks. I don’t think the personnel on this team is awful. Draft or sign some decent O. Lineman and with a middle of the road quarterback this team is at least a .500 ball club.
  9. The Panthers gambled on Darnold having more upside out of N.Y. If it had worked it would have been great. I might understand the thought process. What I think is even a bigger mistake is not signing a competent veteran Q.B. as a back up. I consider that to be a bigger misstep.
  10. I feel sure players have to produce some form of proof of vaccination to their teams, similar to what every employer requires. If Green Bay Front Office was complicit or negligent in this they should be fined and lose draft picks. If Rodgers forged them he should be suspended.
  11. I am excited because we have apparently found someone who is an accurate field goal kicker. With a low scoring offense that is critical.
  12. We are pretty much stuck with McCaffrey’s contract. He can be an asset when healthy. I have heard Rhule talk about what a competitor he is, how he wants to be in every down. Rhule is the coach, he needs to make it clear to McCaffrey he is going to share the load in the future. Derrick Henry is another example as great as he is, but now Tennesse is now in the same boat. No running back in todays game can take the hits they take and be an every down back for long no matter how good they are.
  13. Sam did play well today. I know he was in an impossible situation with the Jets. I am not sure how much ability he has. If we fix the offensive line we can more accurately determine his ceiling. I also think an effort was made last week by coaches to work on his game. The play calling today was much better. I do think he has potential whether it is a starter in the NFL or a backup.
  14. I know Sam is not highly regarded by many. However, I would like to see him have two things. I would like to see him with a quality quarterback coach, not sure about the one we have. I would also like to see him have the time to throw behind an offensive line similar to what Tom Brady currently has. Matt Ryan threw 2 interceptions today because of pressure. Pat Mahomes is an example this year.
  15. Chuba Hubbard fumble leading to At anta field goal, touchdown D.J. Moore could not hold on to. Big difference makers. We know Darnold is not Tom Brady, but this is not on him.
  16. One thing that I have not heard mentioned regarding attendance by Panther fans is the age of the PSL owners. Purchasers of PSL’s in the first few years who were in their 30’s and 40’s are now in their 60’s or possibly older. Priorities change as we age and time with family and grandchildren on the weekend often take center stage. Add to that the fact that there were some bruised ego’s ( and rightfully so) when long time holders of PSL’s had their seats ripped out and seating locations changed. Fan loyalty suffered as a result. Some PSL owners were already driving 100 miles or more to attend games. The performance by the Panthers this year has led many of the faithful to question their loyalty.
  17. When coaches are discussed I think the quarterback coach needs to be in the conversation. Sean Ryan has coaching stints at the New York Giants, Detroit Lions, and Texas. Is he the coach we need for Sam? I have to ask, never hear it mentioned.
  18. As bad as Darnold has been today this is more on the receivers.
  19. If Chuba can’t learn to catch the ball he is not long term replacement for McCaffrey.
