Kyle Baileys had Tom Dunden (Hurricanes owner) as a guest about 2 minutes months ago. He is working on a baseball team but acknowledged it was an uphill battle. Unfortunately he is not as rich as Tepper. I wish he could put an ownership group together and buy the Panthers. He is a class act.

game day thread....just in case you're watching
Stuart Smith replied to rayzor's topic in Carolina Panthers
Neither does McCaffrey. -
I agree.

We traded up to get D.J. Johnson. I know he was viewed as a project, but is often a healthy scratch. After the first pick we have not seen many positives from the recent draft picks.

I was watching Flowers thinking the same thing.

I caught that too.

For all that is holy please let this season end GameDay Thread

We need some consistent leadership from a coaching standpoint. Tremble is a decent blocker. He needs to get the recognition and needs to get most of the snaps at tight end. It took too long for Chubba Hubbard to be recognized as our best back. Was Reich holding them back? For anyone who says some of these plays were against a weak defense the passes to Chark could have been made against any defense. -
Why is Brown not up there?

Weight room for sure.

Should we seriously consider Evero for head coach?
Stuart Smith replied to PleaseCutStewart's topic in Carolina Panthers
With the injuries this year he has had to make do with whatever warm bodies he had. No one could have done better, and the players haven’t quit on him. -
If Evero does not have head coaching opportunities elsewhere it is because people are not paying attention. I wish it was here.

I don’t think most of us are “crowning Young.” Without a toe tapping catch by Chark (where has that been?) it would have been just another Sunday. Where was the separation Mingo got on his catch all game? Whoever the next coach is we have to have some playmakers around whoever the quarterback is. We can only hope the next GM and coach will have some leeway to determine if we have a franchise quarterback or not and move forward. It was nice to beat Atlanta.
-
A lot of games are decided by “luck.” We had Atlanta beat last year and a referee called back a D.J. Moore touchdown because he took off his helmet, then we missed a game winning field goal. I think they Atlanta was lucky then. We may not win again this year, but I am going to enjoy this for a week.

I did, and it was great execution by Cooper and Flacco. I did not see any rain and win, given that I still like the Panthers better.

Even With the Win Today's attendance
Stuart Smith replied to BY9Franchise's topic in Carolina Panthers
Exactly. Too much could go wrong to do anything but what they did. Less risk to do exactly what they did. -
Belichick will not happen. Relax on that one.

Is the game on Sunday going to be postponed?
Stuart Smith replied to Lame Duck's topic in Carolina Panthers
The fans (few in attendance) do not. -
There maybe something in the coaches contract that precludes them from commenting for a number of years, or until their contract runs out. By the time some of them speak on it it may be irrelevant.
-
Belichick is 71. If he leave N.E. I would be surprised if he doesn’t call it a day.

And Shi Smith.

Not going to switch teams, no joy in jumping on someone else’s bandwagon. However, After devoting 3 hours each week to the Panthers since their first game I am going to take a break. May catch a movie on Sunday for a while.

Very true. I was a Viking fan during the days when Minnesota was NFC champs. 4 Super Bowl appearances, no rings. They thought Herschel Walker was the missing piece and traded the farm.
-
Exactly. Icky will probably be a decent guard. I doubt there will be a decent left tackle by the time we draft.

The Athletic: “‘Hunger Games’ culture” at BOFA
Stuart Smith replied to SuperBowlBound's topic in Carolina Panthers
I hope not, but it does look that way.
