  1. You have to trust the evaluations of the current coaching staff. This an’t Rhule.
  2. OK some of you capologist…how much does DJ Moore being gone free up on the salary cap? Gotta sign a receiver now.
  3. Thinking about a replacement for Moton is far from laughable. He is only one of 5 players in the last 4 years in the NFL who has played every down. Sooner or later he will probably end that streak. The OP is correct in assessing where we Need to build. Investing in the quarterback whoever it might be would be foolish without having offensive line depth to protect the quarterback.
  4. Don’t forget “can play multiple positions.”
  5. There was a definite improvement in Sam’s performance. The New Orleans game was ugly, but we still won. He seemed to know when to throw the ball away instead of forcing the ball and getting a turnover. I would rather have him as a place holder for a young quarterback that anyone like Brissette.
  6. I don’t see Corral and Hooker as the same guy. Hooker is very smart, dad is Hall of Fame at NC A&T University.
  7. I question if he was really hurt when he did not play in the Ravens last game or he was not risking an injury in what he knew was a contract year. That was not what potential quarterback teams wanted to see.
  8. New Orleans- Derek Carr Atlanta-Lamar Jackson Tampa Bay-Kyle Trask (and a tank) Carolina-CJ Stroud Very different looking NFC South…..How wrong am I?
  9. Very true. Newspapers filled a worthy purpose with local news, local High School sports, etc. Most were not big money makers, but they were a huge part of the local community. Unfortunately they are a casualty of the digital age. The local paper where I live has been sold four times, is now down to 3 days a week by mail delivery. I have to go to the local high schools web site or max preps to see if the team(s) schedule. It is sad. I subscribe to the Charlotte Observer digital to follow the Panthers, and follow this site.
  10. The points are a useful tool. Having said that if you see something you want bad enough you find a way to get it. Kinda like that 1967 Chevelle Super Sport 396 I want.
  11. I hate the idea of giving up future draft picks, absolutely. However, if the brain trust we have in charge agree on someone that could be a franchise quarterback for the next decade I would do what it takes. You would gave a quarterback on a less expensive pay scale for 4/years. That would allow you to sign some quality free agents. They are hard to find, but there are some lower draft picks that turn out to be finds as well. Let’s face it, franchise quarterbacks put fans in seats.
  12. He appears cocky to me. There is a difference in being confident and almost arrogant. He did not move the needle for me. Having said that, the Panthers will probably draft him now.
  13. Yes, he was signed early. I would like to see a bigger sample size of Eason.
  14. What I saw on the field was all on him regardless of who his coach was. Seemingly giving up on plays when he got beat.
  15. Hopefully the Panthers brain trust is collectively taking note of all the available free agents that can help. I hope before long we will announce that Bozeman has been locked up. I really don’t expect any signings until we resolve his status, sounds like he could help. Also, a decision for sure on a quarterback and how much to spend. just my humble opinion.
  16. Some of these “bridge” quarterbacks are going to want more than you think. I think there was a reason the Panthers signed Jacob Eason.
  17. Before I would pay Brissett 15 mil I would pay 30 for Carr. Difference of 15 mil for some decent vs a place holder. 3 years max while developing a quarterback. I hope whatever happens we draft a quarterback with our first pick.
  18. Actually rather have Darnold than Brissett, but I think the Panthers fans and Tepper are ready to turn the page.
  19. I understand your feelings, I have thought about the same thing. However, if you get Brissett or Minshew you probably pay them 8 or 10 mil a year to be a bridge. If you pay Carr 32 mil a year you don’t pay the bridge quarterback. You could still draft a future quarterback and see if he or Corral shows promise. I am not advocating for this, but I understand those who think this way. I trust Reich and Company to make the best choice.
  20. I understand the feel to do these articles, it may be spot on…but it is too early. I wonder what the grade was for Kansas City in 2017 when Mahomes was drafted. He sat that year behind Alex Smith. Corral might turn out to be decent, no one knows this early.
  21. A lot of information on the Daniel Jeremiah article. I was especially intrigued that Levi’s would be able to process a lot of information. He also seemed to think Richardson would be able to, also higher on Hooker than most. He did say the unknown of Hookers ability to recover from the injury he would lean on medical staff. Thanks for sharing.
