He always had a hate boner for Cam

While I was watching him today I was thinking about the FO's take on him after the draft: "We had a 3rd round grade on him as a tackle but a 2nd round grade on him as a guard". To me this tells me that we think that he could get adequate push playing guard but may lack lateral quickness. I think he gave up 2-3 sacks today including the one he did himself, but there was absolutely no push whatsoever in the run game that would suggest he would be better playing guard when we ran to his side. I don't think this is going to be an Andrus Peat situation where he could just slide over from LT to LG. Even when we had him at RT he was getting pushed straight back into the QB. Granted it was his first game and he could improve since that is a notoriously hard position to play, but it is frustrating as hell given the issues we have had over there and to see Slater lighting it up so far.

It’s PFF. But I’m not sure this is good
Ted Ginn Jr.'s Hands replied to ncfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
It seemed like on his first few hurries that he gave up he was just getting pushed straight back into the qb. It was hard for me to focus on him too much after that b/c my attention was refocused to the dumpster fire that was the interior. I don't read pff religiously, but am not sure if I have ever seen a score lower than a 22 given out. -
Joe Brady with lazy play calling
Ted Ginn Jr.'s Hands replied to Ja Rhule's topic in Carolina Panthers
LSU's 2019 offense Joe Burrow - 1st overall draft pick Jamarr Chase, Justin Jefferson - 1st round picks Terrace Marshall Jr - 2nd round pick, would have been a 1st if healthy Offensive Line - Damien Lewis, LLoyd Cushenberry (3rd round), Saahdiq Charles (4th round) I think his rep was built largely by having exceptional tools to work with. Everyone wants the next McVay and they think he fits the bill. Granted, he is working with a trash OL. The first 3 games, we were going against crap secondaries and could get the ball out reasonably quickly and mask the ineptitude of the line, but now that we are playing average ones, it is catching up with us. -

Meanwhile, over at that other expansion team...

https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/32342897/jacksonville-jaguars-owner-shad-khan-urban-meyer-regain-our-trust-respect-inexcusable-conduct "Meyer did not fly back to Jacksonville with the team after that game and instead went to Columbus to visit with his grandchildren. Meyer said he and family members went to his restaurant -- Urban Meyer's Pint House -- on Friday night, and people at a nearby event asked to take photos with him. Meyer said he should have left when people tried to get him to dance with them." Why is grandpa grabbing that woman's behind? -
the nfl recently said that delay of game was a SUBJECTIVE call after botching the Lions game so I am sure there will be an apology afterwards.

Predictions - Panthers at Texans - let's go
Ted Ginn Jr.'s Hands replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Panthers 24 Texans 10 Carolina covers the 7.5, game goes under 43. One of our TD's is a defensive score -
Christensen and Brown "close to contributing"
Ted Ginn Jr.'s Hands replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'd rather these guys take their lumps now vs. later. If they are still "close" this week, why not go ahead and put them in week 3 and 4 (Texans and Cowboys) when we play two terrible defenses and ease their transition into the nfl. -
It is a fair point, he never should have put him out on the field during those meaningless games which made his shoulder shot. My first reaction was that they would reunite in Washington, but given that he is unvaccinated and RR has his frustrations with guys not getting it, prob. won't happen

Worst Panther coach/player of all time
Ted Ginn Jr.'s Hands replied to panther4life's topic in Carolina Panthers
I was going to post this, my recollection of watching him play was that he looked like he couldn't throw a spiral. We gave up some picks to the Broncos to get him I think. -
Funchess not playing again this year

He was pretty far down their depth chart anyway, probably wasn't going to get on the field much -

Carolina Panthers Training Camp - Thursday Thread

Anyone remember that douche that used to always say "Steven Smith". -
I mentioned this awhile back in another thread but I was talking with an NFL Offensive Line scout of a different team and he said after interviewing Little they immediately took him off their draft board. Which jives with the fact that every time I see him out there he looks completely lost on where he is supposed to be at least several times a game..

Panthers pass-rush grade rankings over L3 seasons
Ted Ginn Jr.'s Hands replied to SBBlue's topic in Carolina Panthers
Honestly with Brown and Gross Matos in year 2, Burns turning pressures into sacks with a better secondary, and the signings of Reddick and Jones, I'd be extremely disappointed if we don't crack the top 10. -
King of Wisconsin… Giannis or Rodgers?
Ted Ginn Jr.'s Hands replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/aaron-rodgers-packers-near-agreement-for-return-that-could-pave-way-for-departure-in-2022-per-report/ ESPN's Adam Schefter adds that the deal will void the 2023 season from Rodgers' current contract and the franchise tag may not be used in future years. Sounds like he wants to be a FA after this season. -
I know people who work in the hospital where Greg's son has gotten treatment. Greg spends a lot of time with other families who have been afflicted with juvenile congenital heart defects. He was a great football player but is an even better person. Here is a link to his charity: https://receptionsforresearch.org/
