I understand. I feel like he could be very overrated because of his supporting cast, but also could see him dominating us if a team like the Saints get him...
-
So stay put and draft a LT or Mac Jones if the top 4 are gone?
-
Are they bad? I know Howell, Rattler, and Daniels off the top of my head. Purdy and Penix showed flashes. Not to mention several schools didn’t get to play many games this year so there should be many new faces.

If a QB isn’t there at 8... Slater is your pick

Yes if we can’t get a QB, LT is the second most important position. If we strike out on QBs we need to go all in on beefing up our line and get ready to try again for our guy next year. -
The man doesn’t have the build to play in the NFL. Every game he plays he either gets hurt or is playing hurt. He has a lot of heart, but I hope he doesn’t get much more playing time for the sake of his health...

People need to stop thinking you need to suck to draft your next QB. Build a great team/foundation while constantly looking for the right fit. Russ Wilson was a 3rd rounder, Tom Brady 6th, Rodgers at the bottom of the 1st, Drew Brees 2nd rounder, Lamar Jackson bottom of the first, Watson was picked up at 12 (trade up), Mahomes at 10 (trade up), Dak was a 4th rounder. These franchises built a solid team which helped their new QBs succeed. We have the right staff and young pieces on offense and defense. Tanking to draft or thinking we can never get a good QB if we are average are proven to not be true. Next year’s first is fine to jump up and get our guy, but we need to keep building our team. We are far from a finished product and even if we don’t get a top QB, we can prepare our team for when the moment strikes to get one.

The guy that threw 0 INTs in a season can’t read a defense? I’m not 100% against Jones, but when you make statements like that you start to ruin your validity.

Whatever it takes to stop a Bosa! -
I was looking more at Trent Williams. Throw in a deal for Moton and Miller suddenly our offensive line is a strength and we have no cap space left....
-
Yep, for cheap too.
-
I mean he is “unhappy” so it kind of IS his problem, not to mention the number of hits he has taken...
-
It’s a little frustrating how QBs want these huge contracts, but they also want a great line protecting them and plenty of weapons. I mean you have to field a defense as well while staying under the cap...

I would be wary about giving up too much to move up. Take Sewell or another top LT if all 4 are gone. Take a G/C in the second and extend Moton. Sign a Mitch or someone similar as a placeholder and then you can go all in next year with a solid offensive line for the rookie. Rattler, Howell, JT Daniels are 3 that should be in the draft next year that have some potential off the top of my head.

You can’t look at it like this. What could we have done to “lose” that game without being painfully obvious like the Eagles did (which lost the locker room and got their coach fired). We played Teddy and kept CMC out. That’s about as far as you can go without obviously benching your starters Washington handed us that game with Haskins. We still had several games left in the season to play.

"Multiple Teams have reached out to the Jets about Darnold"

As long as we don’t give up too much for him. Like our top 10 pick for example... -
Trey Lance never lost and NDSU was usually blowing out their competition, so he isn’t going to continue to air it out and rack up yards. Definitely makes his sample size smaller than a lot of people are comfortable with. I would like to see his stats compared to Cam’s at Blinn College or Wentz’s his first year starting for NDSU. It would give a good idea as to how he compares to NFL QBs who played against lower competition like his did. He is going to be about as raw as it gets for a first round QB, but he checks a lot of boxes (arm strength, intelligence, leadership, athletic ability). If our staff is worth the money we are paying them, they should be able to shape him into a good starting QB, with a huge amount of untapped potential.

Mitch has a bad offensive line, bad running game and only one good WR in Robinson. Plus (as previously stated) his coach did about everything to ruin his confidence. I wouldn’t want him as our 1st, 2nd, or 3rd choice. However if we strike out on other options, I think he would be an upgrade.

Brees isn’t coming back. If he does, he would actually be their weakness at this stage in his career.

Fields was very relaxed and classy after the Clemson win on the sidelines with the reporter. I know it was a win, but she baited him asking about Dabo ranking them 11th and he says smiled and says he wasn’t there to talk about that. Gave thanks to his teammates, coaches, God etc... Again I know it was a win, but he was handling himself very well. This was after playing through injuries also.
