I am thrilled to have some depth and options on our offensive line. I know LT is still a bit of a question mark, but may the best player win between Erving, Scott, and Christensen. Outside of that we have decent starters with some young talented players behind them. If all goes well we shouldn’t be scrambling for linemen next year (maybe LT if Christensen becomes LG) for once. Even if LT is a little shaky at first we have Tremble and Chuba (apparently a great blocking RB) to help on certain situations. I can already see us putting CMC out wide and leaving Tremble or Chuba in the backfield to help delay any pass rushers. On another note... Moore, Anderson, Marshall, CMC, and potentially Shi Smith with Arnold having solid hands as well! If Darnold puts it together, and our staff believes he will, this offense should be on fire!

Man if they get Wentz back to form they are going to be a dangerous team. Too bad our ginger (Darnold) is better than theres (Wentz)!

He is definitely flying under the radar and I think he is going to be a great number 2 back for us.

Look our OC wanted to bring him in after working with him in Penn St. He definitely knows the ability of Stevens and what a player like Hill brings to the table having coached with the Saints. Let’s sit back, enjoy the show, and let our staff do their thing. It’s our job as fans to get excited and look forward to new players and a new season! If he makes the team and is used, it’s like MHS said, it makes opponents game plan for wrinkles, takes hits away from CMC, and can step in with our backup QB and help the offense if Darnold has to miss a game or two.

Having two Hills would be an uphill battle and quite the hill to climb all year long. Brady knew Stevens more that most coaches from working with him at Penn St. He was his guy and tried to stay loyal to us and not become a Saint until those jerks drafted him and left him no choice.

It was actually the opposite. He didn’t play for Brady at NO. He was drafted last year by the Saints in the late rounds because they found out we were interested in bringing him in as an undrafted rookie. He was cut because it’s a waste to have two guys like that on a roster. We signed him pretty quickly once he was cut.

He had Gase overseeing the whole thing. I see where you are going with it though. Just Brady and him from ground zero. What if he has to miss a game or two with an injury though. I would like a decent placeholder there just in case.

I’m kind of high on Peyton Ramsey as well. I would love to see him on our practice squad and develop into a solid backup for our team. We do need a solid veteran to help Darnold and serve as the temporary backup though.

Some of these 2nd year players might be in for good seasons as well. Sam Franklin, YGM, Roy, Miller (3rd year, but didn’t play last year), STO, Pride, and I’m still hopeful for Kenny Robinson. These guys (except Robinson) contributed some as rookies and will hopefully continue to develop under this staff. (Chinn and Brown were obvious) We should have a young and exciting defense!
