  1. Yeah give me pick 6 or 7 vs pick 1. I don’t want draft coverage talking about how we have the top pick again and how the Bears fleeced us the prior year. I’d rather be low key bad vs the worst team again. Then we keep our staff and try to create some roster stability.
  2. I don't know if he is the best or not. He is a fun prospect to watch. Ward, Ewers, Beck, Allar, Moss, Nuss (LSU), and of course Sanders are ones to follow this season. There may even be a few surprises along the way. For the record, I don't think we draft one early this year. I just like scouting QBs in college because it's such a tough position.
  3. Where are you seeing he has a noodle arm? I think you have him confused with another player?? You also compared him to Teddy which might be his polar opposite...
  4. The NIL just started. It clearly has issues beyond Deion. Dabo has hated it from the beginning, Saban retired because of it, you have a QB at UNLV quitting his 3-0 team because he was “promised more money.” The game is broken and yeah Deion is taking advantage of it.
  5. I can understand that. He is playing game though. It’s not his fault the game is broken.
  6. He makes himself a lot of money. Colorado is a lot more entertaining now and has way more attention than it did before. If you are talented and play for them you will get plenty of opportunities to show your skill on TV and in front of scouts. Hunter will be a top 10 pick for example. With that said I don’t think he is some Xs and 0s guru and he isn’t outcoaching anyone.
  7. I don’t mind Prime. He is smart at marketing himself. I just don’t think that kind of me first attitude works for a QB in this league and his son is trying to mimic it. Blaming your teammates for a loss is just wrong in my book. Especially in front of the media like that. He has plenty of talent, but he will need to get a NFL team behind him as a QB in this league.
  8. Isn’t Yosh our swing tackle? I think BC backs up Corb at center.
  9. Yeah he has definitely caught back on it so far. Granted he has played lesser competition. If he can clean it up he will move up the boards. My point is that is nothing like Teddy lol.
  10. 14 fumbles and 7 INTs. Also had some dropped ones. One of the concerning elements of Ward’s game in 2023 was the turnover opportunities he provided the defense. According to PFF, Ward committed 20 ‘turnover worthy plays’ as a passer, which ranked 12th most in the country. Ward committed four ‘turnover worthy plays’ as a passer in two games—against UCLA and Arizona. Ward also had some fumbling issues in 2023, according to PFF, with the analytic company crediting him with 14 fumbles on the year. Ward had a four fumble game against Colorado State and a three fumble game against Cal. In his college career, Ward has fumbled it 46 times, according to PFF.
  11. Do you think he is a top prospect? I feel like you would have the best read on him being a Miami fan.
  12. Yeah Teddy to Ward comp is weird… One is a gunslinger with a strong arm and good enough legs, the other is a conservative game manager… They might be polar opposites. Ward’s weaknesses (TOs and holding the ball) are Teddy’s strengths.
  13. Really early still, but I do like how they are trying to build a NFL offense and not get cute and cater some unique one just for Bryce. Hopefully these young guys develop and they have a foundation they can build on.
  14. Ewers might have a harder schedule but he has a loaded team. Miami doesn’t have the talent that Texas does. The season will tell the story though. They expanded the playoffs this year. I think Ewers probably has the higher floor but lower ceiling.
  15. If Ward keeps playing like he is, he won’t make it out of the first IMO.
  16. That’s not what bothers me. Throwing your teammates under the bus in front of the press was the biggest red flag to me. Be a leader and own it if you want to be the QB. Cam was flashy and cocky avid he is my favorite player.
  17. So we can’t use his father but you are using him to side step his negatives? His dad unfortunately is part of his evaluation.
  18. He has talent no doubt. It’s the calling out the old players when he arrived, the blaming his OL when he addresses the media, refusing to shake hands with the opposing QB after he beat him. It’s all very immature and in but sure how it works with grown men at the next level. I know you keep going back to people not liking his dad, but I’m pretty sure you are only hyping him up because of his dad. Having Hunter as a weapon is like a cheat code too btw…
  19. That would be on the coaches then. Tell him to talk to his dad…
  20. Miami has elite OL play? Didn’t Colorado go all in on OL this offseason?
  21. Especially since the best we would get is a 4th. You are better off just leaving him on the roster.
  22. Scott (Fuller’s backup) was on the Bengals last year. Hopefully he knows their playbook well!
  23. Taylor built that roster and brought there franchise up. I doubt they move on from him after 1 bad season, but who knows. Also Callahan leaving for the Titans might have hurt them more than we thought...
