  1. No linebacker is getting past me in the first!
  2. I get Darnold has talent and was in a terrible situation with the Jets. However, his turnover issues weren’t something that just started happening in New York. https://www.google.com/amp/s/clutchpoints.com/nfl-draft-sam-darnold-knows-his-turnover-issues-in-college-are-a-concern/amp/ 27 starts with 22 interceptions and 21 fumbles. 43 turnovers in 27 starts is Winston bad... This wasn’t against SEC defenses either, he was in the defenseless PAC 12. I love the optimism and understand he is still very young. However going all in on a QB who has shown on both levels TOs are a big issue is extremely risky. If Lance is there, I understand passing on him because he appears to be a project himself. However if a top QB we are high on falls to us I hope we consider taking them. I’ll cheer for whoever we get, and I would love Sewell if that’s the pick, but Darnold went from 3 over all to being traded for a future second and late round picks for a reason... I’m just a fan of doubling down to increase our odds of getting our franchise QB now vs having a constant revolving door at the position.
  3. Sewell and Toney would make our offense great! (IF Darnold works out, but that’s a different conversation) Sewell, Elf, Paradis, Miller, Moton blocking for Sammy D and CMC with Arnold, Toney, Deej Moore, and Anderson catching calls would be very fun to watch!
  4. FS and maybe another CB and this defense should be solid. Now we need a LT and slot WR on offense.

  6. The big issue with the Cooper argument is he had Dak all of 2019 and nearly a third of the games in 2020. Dalton was his low point which would have been Moore’s best QB yet. McLaurin is a much better argument. It’s hard to find WRs excelling with bad QB play which is why Moore is underrated. We showed you the link where he had some of the most uncatchable passes. On top of that we were constantly watching plays last year of him being wide open and Teddy missing him (yes I know this happens to all WRs, but when your top QB is known for check downs it’s an issue).
  7. I think we are rolling with Arnold and Thomas at TE. The depth might have to be some FAs and undrafted rookies. LT is a must and this draft is loaded with them. Slot WR is getting overlooked by us I think. I would not be surprised if we draft one of the WRs like Smith in the first and a LT in the second due to the depth in this draft.
  8. Ah yes you are struggling to show Moore is overrated so you try to say Dalton is better than former NFL MVP Cam. Brilliant!
  9. Imagine if this happens and we some how land Parsons in the 2nd. Sewell and Parsons would be an insane haul in the first 2 rounds. There is no way he makes it to 39, but a man can dream....
  10. So you have no data/stats to backup your argument. That usually means one thing...
  11. I think Sewell may be the one player that no one will have any issues with if he is selected.
  12. https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/2021/04/19/panthers-d-j-moore-robby-anderson-uncatchable-end-zone-targets/?fbclid=IwAR2o36nLpJDVklIAuWQ8HmnFp2sg-GS8ILGpqQfYbQgVqgnhBl5nypg7pH0 This shows you how bad it was for Moore and he still produced. He had over 6 more yards per attempt than McL who has Alex Smith for several games which was way better than what Moore was working with. You find anyone else?
  13. Would love it if we landed Sewell!
  14. The Jets went 7-9 with him in 2019. We clearly have a better coach/roster than that. It will be bad if Darnold turns out to be good enough to keep us in the middle of the next draft, but not bad enough to get us a top pick. With the capital if costs to trade up for QBs if one you love falls to you they should always be considered until you have your franchise QB.
  15. Fair point. If anything it just shows how little interest we have in Lance...
  16. Yeah but that goes against the whole “smokescreens rarely happen” narrative, right?
  17. I mean to help with a trade down. If a team thinks we might pick him they may be more tempted to trade up for him. I think there is interest there. However it looks like they are really trying to “sell” we still might take a QB in this draft. Them not going to Lance’s makes me think the interest is real.
  18. Do you think going to Fields second Pro Day was legit interest or just to have other teams think we could take him for trade potential?
  19. Soooo Lawrence, Wilson, Mac, Lance, Chase, Pitts, Smith and we can get Sewell/Fields?
  20. It looks like Dalton played 11 games and Dak played 5 last year. Maybe they came in for a series or two? Regardless he had a whole season plus 5 games with a top QB then 9/10 with a QB on Teddy’s level.
  21. Dak the previous year and Dak/Dalton this past year.
  22. Yeah good points. If one is there at 8, do you pass on them knowing it might take 3 first rounds plus some to get maybe the 2nd/3rd best prospect next year if Darnold doesn’t work out? I like to look at best/worst case scenarios. If Darnold works out and your rookie shows promise you can easily get back the draft capital from Darnold’s trade and a whole lot more. If the rookie looks to be a bust, you still have Darnold who would beat him out in camp in this scenario and you only are out 1 first rounder. If you pass on one (if they are there) and Darnold is just meh this year, it’s going to take a lot of capital to try to draft a top QB next year who could still bust. This right here is a potential franchise killer with a new staff coming in...
  23. Here is a fun game. Name a WR with better stats and a worse QB combo throwing to him than Kyle Allen/Grier/half a Cam/PJ/Teddy.
