Are other teams this high on Horn? I mean a top 10 pick CB better be the next Ramsey... I think Horn is good, but not much better/equal to several other CBs in this draft.

I’m not saying trade up for him, but if he falls to 8 and we like him then take him. Darnold isn’t a known player IMO. If he is known, he is known to throw INTs and not being very good. Our hope should be he is an unknown at this point who can still be very good and only looked back because of his situation. The “red flags” are what? Processing speed? He literally had the best rating throwing the his 2nd and beyond read of the top QBs in his class. I think he is falling because of the Indiana and Northwestern game (both of which he won). There was a lot going against OSU in those games. Missing best WR, missing coaching staff, missing offensive weapons and constantly having games cancelled or delayed due to COVID. Check out his previous year tape and he checks all the boxes. Plus he looked great against Clemson this year when he was dialed in. If our staff could unlock that one a regular basis...

Lol, man I was hoping you knew something I didn’t about him playing LT!

Jared Lorenzen may God rest his soul...

I read MHS’s write up on Elf as a LG/C which had me pretty optimistic. I don’t think I’ve read the Erving one yet.

Panthers now have the 3rd most cap space in the NFL in 2022.

You would assume half or less would be depth/special teams... -
Next year’s first is crucial. It allows us to move up and take a QB in the 22 draft if Darnold doesn’t work out. If he does then we get to load up with more talent for the man!

You see LT potential in Erving? I don’t know much other than he graded poorly on PFF, just curious...

Rhule took a 5-11 team gutted it and kept a young team at 5-11. Cam, Luke, Olsen, and Addison were all departed and CMC played like 2 games. From the outside looking at the records it looks pretty bland, but they did a great job given the circumstances. Not to mention first year head coach with limited offseason through COVID. They also hung around teams like GB and KC they had no business competing with.

Moton, Moore, and possibly Jackson are coming due. -
Darnold = insurance and doesn’t make us trade away too many picks for a QB or settle on whoever makes it to 8. He allows us to take the BPA. They are comfortable with him at QB this year. If someone they like happens to fall to 8 it will be interesting. If it’s one they really like we will either get a nice haul in a trade down or have a QB competition in camp.
