  1. In his defense I think Godwin was banged up last year plus Gronk, AB, and Fournette took away from his touches.
  2. It was in jest. Totally agree with the Falcons fans comment!
  3. Pats might be a good one if Lance or Fields are there at 8.
  4. Josh Rosen had it pretty bad in Arizona. They had Fitzgerald, but that line was awful and Wilks wasn’t the best head coach for a rookie QB. He was also traded for a second rounder, but that story doesn’t have the ending many of us are hoping for...
  5. It’s true, but it definitely matters who says it.
  6. I was concerned about his turnover issue in college, but did a little research to make myself feel better. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.ganggreennation.com/platform/amp/2018/7/31/17634804/what-do-sam-darnolds-college-turnover-issues-tell-us-about-his-future-new-york-jets It all just depends on how high of a grade we have on Fields. Maybe Sewell will be there making it an easy decision.
  7. We like Samuel Jr (interviewed with him twice). I’m high on Newsome.
  8. https://www.google.com/amp/s/catcrave.com/2021/04/18/carolina-panthers-washington-perfect-trade-partner/amp/ This site has it as a 4th... kind of lame.
  9. Ok now the no Fields comment hurt, but Shapiro just make me throw up a little...
  10. I will certainly be happy with Sewell. I want to call him “Big Play Penei.” I’ve missed saying it since Bene got cut for not covering the uncoverable Julio Jones.
  11. MHS831, if that is your real name... great post! I love Newsome, Samuel Jr, and Horne as mid/late 1st round CBs in this draft and I think we can get a solid LT in the 2nd (assuming Sewell isn’t there at 8). Trading back wouldn’t be the worst thing at all. I’m hoping Lance falls to 8 and we trade with NE or WFT for a nice little haul (assuming Sewell and Fields aren’t there at 8).
  12. There is absolutely a reason they are waiting until after the draft to extend him. Fitts has even said that a QB is still in play. I hear that smokescreens aren’t as common as people think... They also said there is a QB on the draft they are excited about. I mean it’s not even a secret at this point.
  13. The draft capital given up for Darnold is a nonissue. As stated earlier it can be easily recouped in a trade down. It’s also the reason if a guy we love is available at the QB position we have the ability to still draft him with a small sunk cost from the Darnold trade. It seems like a pretty smart trade to me given the circumstances. I also like waiting until after the draft to make a decision on his fifth year option. That definitely makes him a little bit more of an investment salary cap wise.
