  1. This final year should be what we need to develop Shi Smith and Marshall. If either one is looking legit, then we let him walk no problem. Hopefully get a comp you stated and let Robbie go get paid elsewhere.
  2. Yeah I understand. He seemed pretty clear about thinking Robbie would stay more than likely. It would be odd if he was SEEKING a trade after being united with his old QB, but that’s not the case. I think there are a few trolls on here that have some of us on edge. The Sizzles and Trainwrecks constantly talking bad about Darnold and the team can be pretty frustrating on a Panthers Fan Forum...
  3. Difference in opinions are going to happen. It’s what helps keep conversations going on this board. As long as fans aren’t cheering or hoping for bad fortune on our players or team I’m ok with it. Hell I’m pretty skeptical about Darnold myself, but I see enough reason to be hopeful he does great here.
  4. Anderson is a great number 2. I’d really like to keep him this year and make sure Marshall is 100% healthy. If we trade him and Marshall can’t stay on the field, our WR group doesn’t look so hot anymore (as from DJ).
  5. I would think Dalton starts for a bit until Fields is ready. It would honestly be better for Fields if he comes along slowly.
  6. A good post! You are better when you aren’t trolling!
  7. Because it’s the extra bit of info needed to try to prove his point no matter how irrelevant it is. They also need to have been drafted on an even year during a leap year. See it’s never happened before therefore it can never happen!
  8. He looked just as bad his first 3 years as several QBs including the great Brett Favre. The Jets franchise trading him has no relevance other than adding one more asterisk so you can exclude him from this list. Had we found someone else you would just add another like “in the last 10 years” or “for a future 2nd.” So plenty of QBs have been where he is at and turned it around. Take your trolling someone else. Honestly I’m not even saying he will turn it around, I’m just annoyed at posters who come on here just to talk down about this team. At least some of the others are actually good at it though and have actual data to back it up. You just tried and failed pretty bad....
  9. Ahhh so you have no response. Perfect. You wanted some examples I gave you some. Can’t help it if it didn’t line up with your trolling. Ask for data. Receive data. Try to change data. Then give up and mock the other person. Well done! Nice debate. Go study the Appaloosa Model some more, it’s the only thing you know because no one else cares enough about it to fact check you on it.
  10. Must of had a great team because his stats and rating was on par with Sam on year 3. The Golden Calf of Bristol took his team to the playoffs as a starting QB and won on the road on the playoffs. Must be good. Teddy was 5-0 as a Saints starter. Must be good. Taysum Hill has a winning record as a starting QB, so why are they not starting him? Is Sean Payton not smart enough to realize a winning record is what makes a QB good? See wins are the sign of a good TEAM. Troy Aiken also had a losing record after year 3. Started off 1-15, that’s Clausen bad! 19-29 after year 3. Sound have cut his ass right?
  11. He had the luxury of sitting a year and still played just as bad his first 2. First 3 years is what I posted, sorry your comprehension was off, but that doesn’t change the data I provided. Darnold has been injured and missed 10 games over the past 3 years. That’s over half a season. I’m just looking at where these players are at by the end of year 3.
  12. He was actually there briefly! Lol. They traded him to the Saints. Which means they gave up on him.
  13. He has to be a troll from another fan page. Every now and then he will post something half decent to make me question it, but I’m certain he is a bitter Falcons fan or something like that...
  14. Favre only played in 33 games his first 3 seasons so let’s check your math. Sat most of his rookie year and only played in 2 games with barely any snaps. His third season he has 19 TDs and 24 INTs with a 60% completion and 72 rating (I’ll be damned the same rating as Darnold in year 3). Like I was saying these players struggled their first 3 years, the Jets brought in a new staff and wanted to get a new face at 2, so they traded Darnold for draft capital. Let’s be honest the Jets haven’t been the best decision makers lately. https://www.espn.com/nfl/player/stats/_/id/112/brett-favre There you go buddy you can read it there without trying to correct people.
  15. Rattler and Howell are the givens. Watch out for someone to have a Burrow like year, especially with last year being very short for some teams. Malik Davis looks good, JT Daniels was putting it together once he got healthy at the end of the year, Slovis at USC, and Jayden Daniels at ASU all could jump up with a solid year. It’s really not as bad of a class as people are projecting IMO.
  16. Yeah I mean Alex Smith looked like crap his first three years. He really didn’t take off until Harbaugh became the coach and then again with Andy Reid and the Chiefs. The right staff and system can do wonders for a QB. Troy Aikman and Brett Favre had shitty years they’re first 3 as well. The fact is Darnold is only been in the league 3 years, we little help, and terrible coaching. He is still a big question mark at this point who has bad habits of trying to make something out of nothing (like Favre early in his career).
  17. Hopefully we won’t have to worry about it!
  18. I think it will be a more of a let’s get together and pick the guy we want first option. Then make the trade happen not unlike the Niners did this year. For example trading multiple first round picks to get a guy like Howell or Rattler. A guy that checks most/all boxes in which we will give up a large amount of assets to get even if Fitts thinks the price is too high.
  19. If Darnold flops, I could definitely see Tepper stepping in.
  20. Exactly. Different people have different points of view. The Jets decided Darnold wasn’t the guy and they have professionals that have done this their whole life. Our staff thought differently.
  21. Ok? Still isn’t going to talk bad about a player on camera. That just really confirms they don’t think he is just a stop gap QB.
  22. Writing off an entire school is not good scouting, but that’s for another debate (after all Burrow was stashed away at OSU for a couple years). Yeah he cost little capital, but they gave him no competition at all this year. They have (maybe too much) confidence in Darnold turning it around. People keep saying we can just try again next year, but no one knows how the draft and our circumstances will look next year. Reddick, Robbie, Moton, plus other players are signed through next year. Players like Howell and Rattler could struggle. I just saw how excited Fitts was about how young Darnold is and immediately compared compared him to players in the draft. That made me think he views him as a potential franchise QB. It could have all been for show knowing the camera was on, who knows?
