  1. I think I’m changing my order to Sewell, Fields, trade down...

  3. New owner/GM/coach has me hopeful, maybe not confident yet...
  4. I was waiting for him to yell and he didn’t disappoint.
  5. https://www.espn.com/video/clip/_/id/29399116 https://www.google.com/amp/s/dawgpounddaily.com/2020/12/05/colin-cowherd-baker-mayfield-loss-titans/amp/ https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.sportscasting.com/cleveland-browns-legend-hints-at-disaster-ahead-for-baker-mayfield/%3famp it wasn’t an uncommon thought to assume the Browns were ready to move on from him even during the beginning of 2020. He also had waaay better weapons than Darnold. They fixed his line and got him a smart coach and he led them right to the playoffs. I know I’m a Fields guy, but this is a strong argument for us to draft a LT at 8...
  6. Hold on... Let me see those chins one more time...
  7. Ok I’m sold! The grandson of Dick Hammer is destined to lead us to a Super Bowl!
  8. Erving might be good at LG to help advise/coach our rookie LT (assuming we draft one).
  9. I don’t know how you compare a franchise as old as the Jets with one as new as the Panthers. Since we have been a team I feel like we have been more competitive than them, but they had a good run with Rex making their defense pretty good. There are just too many ways to look at it to compare. Both of us are drafting in the top 10 so neither really has bragging rights lately...
  10. Yeah that’s a fair point. They were running out of time with him.
  11. What is their game is remotely similar? Their hair color? Dalton is a conservative game manager and Darnold’s issues are making bad reads/throws with bad footwork. He can make all the NFL throws, Dalton can’t. That’s what he was 3rd overall vs Dalton being a 2nd rounder. His potential is far greater, unfortunately so is his floor.
  12. They have 0 first round picks left from the past 8 years. They made Bell look terrible because they have no line and no weapons. I agree, but this team was a disaster led by Adam Gase who is rightfully fired. Pull up his 2019 stats just over 3000 yards, 21 total TDs, 62% completion, 13 INTs all in 13 games played 84.3 rating. Considering his situation that’s not too bad.
  13. I’m not the biggest Darnold fan, but he is far more athletic than Dalton with a better arm. He ceiling is much higher with a floor much lower. Dalton is more like Teddy...
  14. It’s hard to find a team with as little talent at the Jets. They have none if their first round picks left. In 2019 Darnold’s stats weren’t terrible (kind of on par with Teddy’s this past year with way less help). That shoulder injury last year seemed to really set him back (happened early week 3 or 4) The Jets suck with him, but are winless in the games he missed these past 3 years.
  15. Agreed, but they both already had QBs.
  16. I have a feeling he is our backup plan/used to prevent teams from jumping us. We pulled the trigger once the Falcons announced their pick was for sale. Knowing we can’t afford to throw away the picks it would take to trade up to 5 (Falcons won’t trade with us) we went ahead and secured plan B (really plan z at this point). If our guy happens to fall I don’t think Sammy D stops us from grabbing him...
  17. Seems like a bit of a luxury at 8 with Jackson, Melvin, Jackson, and Pride? Trading down sounds good.
  18. Falcons high on Lance or is that a trade up?
  19. So far it’s looking like Lawrence, Wilson, Mac, Pitts?, Chase, Sewell, if Lions grab Slater who should we get?
  20. You don’t mean that. It’s the alcohol talking...
  21. Teddy with no line or check down is a scary thought. Gase loved long developing plays with no protection.... sounds familiar?
  22. If it’s Fields you will like it! He is going to be special. Darnold will be our backup we can develop/save his career. Imagine Tepper demanding a new QB and Fitts being like “How about two?” At the end of the day we would have lost our 2nd, but got our QB of the future and a backup with potential. If we traded our 2nd next plus 4th and 6th to get Fields no one would have blinked.
  23. So you are saying there is a chance?! (Dumb and Dumber GIF would work as well)
  24. https://www.google.com/amp/s/pantherswire.usatoday.com/2021/02/17/panthers-love-justin-fields-like-mac-jones/amp/ I know a lot can change in a month and a half, but according to Rodrigue we “love” Fields. Even with Darnold (unfinished question mark that cost us a 2nd rounder), would we not pounce on him at 8 if he really is a QB we “love?” I totally get drafting a LT, and Sewell and Slater are great. Sorry, Fields is my draft crush (obviously) and I’m struggling going all in on Sammy D...
