With the first pick, don't draft a QB? Draft a DE? C'mon!

Yep. You can wait and wait and finally draft a Trevor Lawrence while missing on Burrow, Mahomes, Allen, Jackson etc… -

I wouldn’t play him on both modes much at all. You could easily do the reverse though. Line him up in the secondary on obvious passing downs. It’s just asking for an injury though. Let him score TDs and play a premium position. -

Who in 26 are you liking. Nico isn’t living up to expectations so far, Manning can’t beat out Ewers… I’m sure they will look better in another year but we would need the top pick again to land one and we should never trade up again. -

Yeah defenses are easier to turn around than offenses (especially when you are looking for a QB). Take a look at the Broncos. Allowed 70 last year to the Dolphins, this year they put together a solid makeshift defense while eating the Russ contract and drafting Nix in the first. There also isn’t done premium defensive player that should go at pick 1 as of right now. -

I feel like if you draft Hunter at 1, you almost have to use him mainly as a WR. You just don’t take CBs that high. -

There is a good chance this will be Moton’s last year. Makes a lot of sense to use it giving a rookie QB an established solid OL to start his career. -

https://x.com/QBspotlight/status/1830248773110665396 He played very well when Florida blitzed him. This was a similar conversation scouts had about Stroud though (how he handled pressure). Schemes and coaching can help players get better under pressure. I’d love a QB who plays great when there isn’t pressure to begin with. -
So this trade was brought to Tepper and he didn’t overrule it AKA make a decision is what you are saying? You want Tepper to overrule the GM he hired and are mad he didn’t, but also think he is meddling too much… I’m confused?

I’m holding you to it! Looks like you are right though so we’re good…

Honestly AR looking better his first start than he did his last. Not sure if his regression is film being out or the injuries taking their toll… -

Texans and Commanders made it work. You need a good OL (which we have) and some weapons. We need to keep developing XL, Coker, JT, and Brooks to have some weapons. I wouldn’t mind reuniting DC with Godwin if the price is right ( yeah I know he is coming off an injury) It’s Moton’s last year so use it to help get a young QB comfortable. All of this is assuming there is one we like a lot. -
Steve Smith also said to draft Bryce and Mingo

I thought Goff was his floor. It was before Goff took his game up a notch though…

NM my first response. I was misinformed… That sucks…

They might not be pay much but we gained $4 million.
-
I'm not sure they could have gotten more...
-
Yep. Stroud was the safest pick and still had one hell of a ceiling.
-
Yeah he was becoming an issue on the field too giving up on routes while throwing teammates under the bus. You can't have that while trying to change the culture. The fact remains we were always getting much less than what Hopkins went for. So we save $4 million dollars in rollover cap and move up some spots later in the draft. No big deal he had to go and this was the best offer.
-
Pretty sure it’s mostly his signing bonus. Looks like we saved $4 million trading him off.

Chuba could have made a little sense. Anyone on an expiring contract we aren't resigning/extending...

That’s not how it wired at all.

Jaycee Horn post game confrontation with Sean Payton

Horn's dad played for SP. He knows he is a shitty human. -
Canales is trying to build a NFL offense and forces Bryce to play in one when he is out there. He isn't afraid to line him up under center, have pre snap movement, play action, roll outs etc... He also benched Bryce based on performance. When asked about Bryce he is nice sure, but early on mentioned him just doing his job as 1 out of the 11 people on the field. This is the sign of a coach wanting to do his job well despite the issues going on. Reich did none of this. Again his favorite play was a WR screen to the 34 year old slow AT.... Where is Reich at now?
