  1. Burrow had a pretty weak arm for NFL standards. He actually changed his throwing motion after his rookie year to put more zip on his throws. It was pretty interesting to read about. I think Bryce’s arm is ok when he has fundamentals and his feet set. Obviously not as good as some of the top arm talent guys but he can make most throws when his feet are set. When he gets happy feet his passes get off. He doesn’t have elite arm strength like Mahomes and Allen to where his fundamentals being off doesn’t change the velocity of his passes. That’s just what I’ve observed which is also why he commits turnovers when he is under pressure.
  2. I picked 3rd but I think it's still open until the end of the season. I was kind of between 2 and 3 as well.
  3. I’d be for bring in a Trey Lance, Zack Wilson type vet that still has a bit of a ceiling. Once your team is succeeding as a unit you can look at drafting one preferable one to sit for at least half a year if not longer. That seems to be a decent formula.
  4. It’s so frustrating watching him cook now for a division rival. Rhule was the start of our downfall.
  5. There isn’t but the thing is the team/system/staff around the QB ultimately dictates how successful that QB can be. You have Baker getting released midseason here vs playing like a MVP on another team. Darnold on the Jets/Panthers vs Vikings/Seahawks. Geno Smith on the Jets vs the Seahawks vs the Raiders. Mac Jones is looking as good as Purdy on the 49ers. You have to build a roster, culture, and system for these guys. Obviously the QB has to be the leader and help elevate the team, but we are seeing what moving a “bad” QB to a stable franchise looks like. Daniel Jones might be doing the same but it’s too early to tell.
  6. This seems like a lot of “cope.” Arguing against stats that made him look good with other stats that make him look bad is just being a reverse Bryce Stan. He seems to thrive when the game is on the line, but he still has a lot to prove to be a franchise QB. That’s all that needs to be said really.
  7. It needs to be prime time to really setup the let down.
  8. The Jets went toe to toe with Pittsburgh and Tampa. Throw in our terrible road performances and this game is far from an easy one. None of them will be easy for us, especially on the road.
  9. He was the 2nd leader in targets with 5 and they won. They are above 500 with a new offensive guru coach. Seems like a dumb time to want out.
  10. Yeah he has a potential out after next year. It’s like a 10 million dead cap hit but you have over 47 million between the next two years. It was always a 3 year 67 million deal with that hit. He would need to still be playing at an elite level to justify keeping him years 4 and 5.
  11. They need to bench Ward until they fix their OL and have capable weapons. He can’t be developing in that poo show.
  12. Apparently Horn asked Evero to put him on Pickens that last series. It’s bad when the player has to tell the coach the obvious.
  13. The Dolphins are skewing that number quite a bit. If the Falcons and Cowboys beat us, they’d both be over .500. The Falcons currently are .500. I don’t think we are a playoff team, but maybe we aren’t a bottom tier anymore. We can beat bad to kind of bad teams at home. We need to beat the Jets on the road next week.
  14. Defense needs to just shut down the Jets offense. We need a road win and this should be a team to get one against.
  15. This was driving me crazy. EE keeping Horn on one side so whenever they wanted they just moved Pickens on Jacks and watched him dominate. We have to make adjustments mid game.
  16. Then a roughing the passer, then an offsides…. Ref ball is hard to watch
  17. Auburn has had a bad passing game this year. The talent is there though.
  18. Look at Cam with the Auburn fans! My GOAT!
  19. Sure and don’t watch the Panthers if their performance bothers you. Fans can except a better product and have a right to do so. Imagine wanting actual competent reporters during press conferences for our team. The nerve…
  20. Yeah I didn’t do the poll but I have no problem with people doing it. Whining about product on a message board takes just as much effort with absolutely no results. I’ll give them credit for trying to get results but I doubt it will work.
  21. I’d say that has a lot to do with his bad performance
  22. Isn’t Mateer playing with a bad elbow?
  23. That’s what the fans are wondering openly now. Why is he still employed? I could care less how long he has been doing it. Why is this such a struggle with you? Are fans not allowed to be upset with a bad product? I mean that’s your whole persona here on the Huddle.
