The decision is what makes the throw bad lol. I don't mean the physical throw was wabbly or weak but it was a bad decision thus a bad throw. You can see Terrell right in front of Thomas (not Sanders my bad) plus I believe a safety was right behind him. I see 4 white jerseys all around a TE who can't even catch the ball regardless and it completely blanketed by Terrell. It's a bad throw... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XjuIHuCypEo

No team is 5 plus years away. You can build a decent roster in 3 years, but you need to draft right and be smart with your FA signings. The Texans did it fast as did the Lions recently.

You need a good defense for that style of ball. Both of them like to lean on their defense. Our defense is complete ass right now... Both are solid coaches but we don't have to players to do what they do yet.

I believe in that drive we were running it. I mean you sprinkle in a few passes to keep the defense honest. That's just part of the game. They should compliment each other. It was just a terrible throw with their CB1 on our 4th round TE...

Also looking at such a small sample size the schedule matters. Denver, Carolina, Pitt, and LV aren't going to score many points. Holding the Chiefs to 17 is good, but their offense isn't what it has been in the past. Last year's group features Miami, Minnesota, and Dallas who had good offenses.

Gambling, fantasy football, and fans in general prefer offense. The league is going to keep making rules to favor the offense.

Hell the difference is they got to play us in one of their first 5 vs any other team. That gets you an extra win...

Until the end. It's also misleading because we had to pass to open up the running game. They stacked the box and Chuba was average 3.2 YPA a good way through the first half. We actually had success with it too. DJ was giving Terrell a run for his money. Our gameplan wasn't terrible. We had a punt blocked, Andy's first pick was a dumb pass, and we had a holding penalty ruin a good drive sucking away momentum. Holding penalties happen, but the first 2 things are what ruin games, especially with a shaky defense.

Yeah Wonnum is an average starter, which means he will instantly be one of our best defenders. Wonnum and Clowney together will be a welcomed sight if they can get healthy.

Until you get behind. Opposing teams will love to have a nice lead and us milk the clock for them. Makes their job easier. The problem is our offense isn't nearly good enough for shootouts either. It's just a mess all around.

Would You Get a QB in 2025 draft, or not??
ForJimmy replied to Hoenheim's topic in Carolina Panthers
There would be no way to know this before you make the trade. -

Here he is training with Sanders and Drones (VT QB and his cousin). He is just as tall as Sanders and a little bigger. I wouldn't worry about his size. Time holding the ball and turnovers are his red flags. -
Panthers Draft Pick Status (Week 7)

Just depends on how far back we go. I wish we could do what the Bears did to us, but I don't think any team is doing that soon. -

Hell I’d love a trade back. -
How does the quote go "you throw to score, you run to win." Get a lead and run the ball to end the game quicker. If you are behind by multiple scores and don't trust your defense yeah you have to start throwing the ball. The clock can quickly become your enemy or best friend.

Rams and Titans could use one. Especially the Titans. I bet the Raiders drop down over the season too. -

At least we actually have a first round pick this year. Our 2nd from the Rams is looking good so far! -

It's sad we are doing this so early, but that is where we are at... -

Ward's throwing reminds me a little of Lamar. He looks comfortable back there and is a gunslinger. No moment appears to big and he looks like the leader in the huddle. He is athletic enough to beat some pressure and extend plays (obviously no where near Lamar's level). Like most gunslingers he will amaze you with one play and frustrate you with another. He trusts his arm a long. His arm looks plenty strong to me (yeah not Allen or Mahomes, but solid). He also has a lot of experience throwing the ball. They threw a lot at WSU and he had solid numbers there (high TO ratio though). -
I'm excited to see him play! Obviously the pick wasn't the smartest move, but he is on the team now and looks to be a talented player.

Maybe that's why he is paranoid about height now? Ewers is solid. I feel like he might be the safest pick out of the QBs. His team is loaded though. Also I want this next guy to be a straight up leader/alpha on the team. I definitely see that with Ward, Sanders is too but he also comes off as arrogant sometimes (throwing his OL under the bus, mocking former teammates, not shaking hands after winning) and I'm not sure that will win over a locker room. I kind of want to see more of this Rourke kid. He might be word a mid round flier...
