    Kiper's statement was leading up to Clausen being drafted into the NFL, not coming out of high school. It's one thing to not "hit" on a particular evaluation. It's another to stake one's career as an NFL draft analyst on the success of a player.

    Why pull the offer though? QB market is essentially frozen in place until DW makes up his diva mind. Door #1, Panthers wind up with DW. Door #2, take your pick of the garbage heap QBs once DW turns the Panthers down, and ensure NO/ATL overcommits assets.
