Yup. Wasn’t sure on Beane to be fair but was begging to keep McDermott and toss Rivera. No coincidence that all the best defenses with Rivera were when McDermott was DC. People always played the Rivera Defensive genius tune and I remember an article where players heard that and tried telling everyone how important McDermott actually was for us but media kept downplaying it and plying up Rivera’s COTY part. Its just funny how bad our defense fell apart when McDermott left and Rivera’s last year here our defense was like 31st in points allowed while McDermott turned Buffalo into a legit contender and has brought them to the playoffs in all but one of his seasons. Even more hilarious after looking up Washington football teams current defensive ranking. 32nd in points allowed. Lmao a true defensive genius for sure. Glad we passed on those guys to keep Rivera!!!

What can you expect people would rather see us crash and burn with guys like Bridgewater and Darnold than ever see a guy like Cam take another snap with us regardless of how effective or not effective he would be. Dude got more hate here carrying Rivera to postseasons and the super bowl because of towels and outfits than these two “QBs” game playing who mind you have literally done nothing for this franchise to deserve appreciation by being terrible here. We need to find coaches and management who can actually evaluate QBs and offensive line talent cause these guys are whiffing hard.

Like I said Rivera and friends. They had a lot to work with and still could make a great thing terrible at times. Nonetheless. those great times were some of the best this franchise has ever seen.

Cam definitely had some horrible lines too. Combined with Shulas constant desire to run long developing plays (ones like sending J Stew on go routes lmao) and having receivers with the worst separation ability in the entire nfl was a recipe for disaster. Cam was just so big and fast and evasive that he made them look better than they were which was still terrible. Its not a coincidence that once Cam went down any QB trying to play was killed right away lol.

Man this team is boring. Honestly a struggle to watch. Those Cam and Luke days were so short thanks to Rivera and friends but man they were exciting times.

Easy to think your D is going to be historic playing the Jets. Oh well maybe we can spend another entire draft on it. If we have any picks left of course.
