    I don't think you remember how good Cam was for us. Cam wasn't carried by the defense or the running game. He wasn't perfect by any means, but there were plenty of times where he was the only source of offense, and plenty of times where he had to bail out the defense when they weren't doing well. He was for us from 2011-2019 what 89 was for the 2002-2011 teams.

    Josh has had the better coaching staff and team to help him. Cam was the team. Cam was never a good passer but 2015 was epic. He never cared to be a passer because as he's stated before, he was a football player who happened to play QB. I miss him as QB1.

    I feel the issue with the run defense is related to the players we have. We don’t have the guys for 3-4. Even when we had Luvu and Burns the run D was still atrocious. It just looked better on paper because opposing teams didn’t need to drive down the field (racking up yards) due to having great field position.

    So Canales did what Reich intentionally decided not to do. Props to Canales and Bryce for making it happen. The guy definitely evolved from a metapod to a butterfree. The real question for me is, will Bryce come into training camp now looking like a high schooler instead of the middle schooler this past camp?

    5'10" < 6'4" If they want a fresh start I'd take both of the QBs they drafted last year. But Bryce is ours (for now) so I'm going to root for our guy as having the higher upside. I haven't watched any NE games this year so I don't know the context of Maya's situation.

    They were trash when they were with us. Getting cut by a struggling franchise were their wake-up call and they got their act together. We didn’t give up on anything.

    Caleb Williams is getting Bryce'd while Bryce is getting Un-Bryce'd. I'm not absolving Bryce but the common denominator is definitely Thomas Brown. Watching the Bears play brought back flashbacks of last season.

    Because he's all hands and attacks the ball by plucking it out from the air. I don't remember the last WR we had that did that.

    We'll see how Bryce continues to grow. Give him props and criticism when his play deserves it. Build the rest of the team and if he ends up being the piece holding the team back then, that's when you can find your replacement. For now, he's shown that he can learn and grow.

    That was the year CMC went 1k/1k. I’d imagine it’d be easier to throw for that many yards having CMC (see Brock Purdy). but I get your point.
