Official Week 6: Cowboys @ Panthers Gameday Thread
Manna replied to rodeo's topic in Carolina Panthers
damn yall, Bryce "hater" here but he delivered. Canales delivered with the right calls. RBs keep pounding. running out the remaining 9 mins left in the 4th quarter for the game winning kick shows this team is growing up. -

so run defense improves but pass defense got worst -
and I thought Joe Person was bad.

I bought into the $cam newton thing and that one uncomfortable interview thing Gruden put him through. But yeah, once he showed who he was against Arizona I was sold.
-
To be fair Cam had some lowlights as well, but boy did he have some extreme highlights starting with his first game in the league vs Arizona. BY9 on the other hand, oh wee mayne.
-
Look at what's happening now with the Bengals. Burrow is out and Chase and Higgins are "struggling" with Browning.

cam Newton makes his return to Madden football
Manna replied to micnificent28's topic in Carolina Panthers
In the older games, when I got bored, I used to trade Cam to the Falcons, and rename/relocate the Bucs to another city which I took over. It was always fun going against Cam and beating the Panthers. -
Defense played great, but they were playing against a QB that plays like ours. While I’ll enjoy the win, I also want to temper expectations.

every game we have to try to win with one arm tied to one leg. Young is the literal handicap.
-
Bryce only "turned it around" because Dowdle went for 200 yards rushing.

Bryce Young Fans: the RB was responsible for the fumble -
at this point, I miss that Phil Snow defense.
-
Looks like psychological fatigue from Tepper, and being forced to play a poor QB who can’t run a basic NFL offense.
-
The way to beat Young is how I play defense as a noob in Madden: engage 8 and press.

Legette “I can’t say I sat back and learned anything”
Manna replied to *FreeFua*'s topic in Carolina Panthers
It feels like a lose-lose question: if he says he learned something, the media and fans will ask why he didn’t already know it. But if he says he learned nothing, we end up in the exact debate we’re having now. -
Nate Tice Nails the Limitations of the Offense
Manna replied to Panthering's topic in Carolina Panthers
It's too early to consider moving on from Canales, but replacing Bryce is long overdue. Bryce believers say that he thrives in improvising, but so far we've seen nothing but disaster when he improvises (interceptions, fumbles). I think that's why Canales is telling him to stop playing hero ball. With that out the window, he doesn't have the skills or abilities to compensate. I like their madden analogy. It perfectly explains Bryce. -
to me, the second half of last season, post-benching. I thought he had turned the corner but it was just because we were out of playoff contention already at that point.

New York Times: Is Panthers QB Bryce Young a Lost Cause
Manna replied to electro's horse's topic in Carolina Panthers
the only thing he's elevated is our draft position -
Based on history I think this would push Bryce to play even more poorly as he doesn’t play well under pressure.

but but Tepper sucks, Canales sucks, receivers can't get open or catch, o-line can't block, defense sucks, and the special teams sucks. A young QB can't thrive in those circumstances.
