  1. Based on comments by the staff so far I'm feeling it's going to be Young...but I want Stroud.
  2. I think it's important where the QB ends up as well. For the first time I feel we have a coaching staff (at least on paper) that can properly develop any rookie quarterback.
  3. That's the impression I got after viewing these pressers...that this coaching staff is smart as hell.
  4. Reich said in his presser today that he built his staff with a plan in place to where if someone gets hired away, the replacement would then be ready to go. He essentially hired coordinators and their replacements already in order to preserve continuity. I don't know how often teams do that, but that's pretty smart to me.
  5. I feel we finally have a coaching staff that can develop players and hopefully be able to make in game adjustments.
  6. Maybe Wilks was offered a job but he declined?
  7. 1000%. (couldn't edit so I had to quote myself)
  8. This staff is already having more success than Rhule's tenure here.
  9. I believe it was a combination of things, much of which has already been shared on this thread. Ultimately I think it came down to Ron's usage of Cam. The offensive scheme required Cam to make up for all the deficiencies (poor play calls, long developing plays, poor o-line) by making a play with his arms. If the play wasn't there he was expected to make the play with his legs (#1 reason why I didn't want Wilks because he expected this of Sam as well, Ron 2.0). By they time they (Ron and company) realized that their philosophy was unhealthy, the damage had already been done to Cam.
  10. From what I recall, Ron wanted to run a hybrid 4-3, 3-4 defense but that never really happened. It was basically 4-3 with a few sprinkles of 3-4, but Burns was always lined up as a 4-3 DE.
  11. Legendary because he got us Cam. Never had anything against Jimmy. He did his best and never said a word.
  12. Damn he really is like that ex who after getting dumped attempts to smear your image by going around yappin their mouth.
  13. He played with 4th-5th stringers. I'm willing to see what he can do with actual talent before writing him off.
  14. Nope. I'm not sold on any QBs this draft, so I'm on the train of just getting BPA and rolling with Corral to see what we have in him. Surely most of what Reich said today can be found in Darnold for one more year (lol).
  15. Glad he acknowledged that the league is now a passing league, will be a balanced offense, and basically hinted at finding a dual threat QB (trading up for CJ Stroud?) and Fitt having final 53.
  16. People who say that “Cam only had one good season” fail to realize that he carried the team every season. Whatever stats he got he fought for them, for the team. He had Greg but no o-line to protect him, and an OC and HC that expected him to stand in the pocket and wait for slow developing plays to make a play, or use his legs. And now seeing how all these chumps are celebrating every play/touchdown just reminds me that my QB started that. #terrelowensthatsmyquarterbackcrying.gif
  17. I like Wilks the person but not Wilks the coach. He is/was basically Ron 2.0 and we don't need that. The league has transitioned to become an offensive-minded league and not taking advantage of it puts us at a disadvantage. Wilks ball was to play smash mouth football. Great. When it works, we roll. When it doesn't work, he has no answers and can't coach a comeback.
  18. Greg basically confirmed that Cam's shoulder got hurt on the play where the db picked off the pass intended for KB.
