  1. Jones said he "didn't know what was going on." Sure didn't look like that on the play. He knew exactly what he was doing, and that was twisting the ankles. What goes around comes around.
  2. Was Teddy right about the staff? Yes. Was the staff right about moving on from him? Yes.
  3. Sam is hurt isn’t he? Regardless, Even before his shoulder injury It was apparent he wasn’t the answer. he was plan c anyways after Watson and Stafford.
  4. I’m not optimistic but I’ll still watch because 1.) I already paid for Sunday ticket and 2.) Im a glutton for pain.
  5. our receivers too have caught onto the offense. they have as many pass defensed as the actual opposing defenses.
  6. I'd love for Cam to come back but only as a backup, which is something he wouldn't be willing to do and I don't fault him for it. I think he would bring a lot of energy to the team, but he's not the same player that we all would like to remember him as.
  7. The pessimist/realist in me can't foresee any outcome where the Panthers leave that game with a W. Prove me wrong Panthers.
  8. I wonder if the NFL has "caught up" to the college tendencies of our offense and defense (whatever those may look like - I'm not that well-versed in schemes).
  9. Just to clarify, I too have given up on Darnold. He was put in a bad situation, probably not much better than his situation with the Jets. He can say what he wants publicly, but until then, I’ll believe he’s moved on when Darnold is out of the lineup permanently, and it doesn’t matter to me who he starts.
  10. I was responding to the notion that Rhule has given up on Darnold. Having Rhule permanently benching Darnold would say to me that he’s given up on Darnold.
  11. What evidence is there to suggest that he’s given up on Darnold? He’s already stated that Darnold is still the QB moving forward. Being benched in the 4th quarter doesn’t mean he’s given up on Darnold either. Heck, even Cam’s been benched a couple times in the 4th quarter (and even the first play of a game). If he has given up on Darnold I have yet to see it. Until then, yes, he is coddling Darnold by all the things he’s suggested through the media.
  12. I greatly apologize for triggering you by my comment. rhules comments ever since signing Darnold has heavily indicated that he wants to coddle him. By saying that he wants to run more is saying he wants more off Sam’s plate, indicating that he knows it won’t take much to cause Darnold to “regress.” This also indicates that he knows they messed up on the trade and is trying to salvage what he can knowing they gave up a 2nd rounder for Darnold. By coddling Darnold it “lessens” the blow of darnold making mistakes, thus, making it look like a good trade.
  13. Sounds like he wants to coddle Darnold some more.
  14. His squad doesn’t consistently have poor showings.
  15. At this point, I have already paid for NFL Sunday Ticket so I have to use it.
  16. That's who we are because CMC masks the team's deficiencies, and look at where he's at right now...his body is breaking down on him because he's carrying the team. This is exactly how a certain #1 QB ended his time here as well.
  17. I always liked Taylor but maybe trading for Henderson lit a fire under Taylor. If he continues on this trajectory he may develop into something special.
  18. I’m all for whatever this terrible line does better at. I’m guessing run blocking is slightly better than pass blocking.
  19. Remember when Rhule said he wanted Sam to play more within the system? Ever since that comment Sam hadn’t been running as much, or maybe I’m just mistaken. We didn’t get much going on offense until Sam started scrambling. Throughout the game there were many opportunities where he could’ve made a play with his legs but chose not to. I’m thinking he refrained from doing so in efforts to “play within the system.” Can’t really do that with a leaky offensive line and receivers who largely took a day off.
  20. Our top 2 WR consistently failing all day. The one player who made the play of the day is a guy I’ve been harping on since he was drafted.
