  1. Our QBs have an average of 3.8 yards per pass attempt for this game LOL
  2. Im really curious to see what practice is like if we get blown out/shut out here.
  3. Wasn't Jamarr Chase dropping a bunch of balls the pre season before his rookie season? And he went on to ball out like crazy. I wouldn't worry about Bryce unless you see him missing bunch of those throws in the regular season and it limits our offense if he cant throw accurately downfield
  4. Chubba had a higher PFF scorer than Miles Sanders? OK ..LOL
  5. Thought this was pretty cool. Who has the best offense on paper here? Just includes QB and skill players, don't see O lines here. Also kinda wondering if Theilen and Chark really are the starting WRs... I feel like that could change up by week 1 and change even more through the season. Starting a 33 year old WR on the outside might be a bit sus to me.
  6. that we be an insane finish for a new coaching staff and new rookie QB. There's definitely at least some precedent for very early rookie QB success at least. R. Wilson, Luck, RG3, Mac Jones, Justin Herbert, Burrow, Cam. Probably some others I'm forgetting. I'm pretty sure Luck and RG3 both went to the playoffs in their rookie years and the both went 1 and 2 overall respectively. That was definitely an anomaly that year. Even though RG3 flamed out not long afterwards and Luck had a career cut short due to injuries eventually. They were both good right out of the gate tho and had immediate success.
  7. The only problem is "getting a replacement" is easier said than done. Burns is younger and probably better than any of the free agents, and who is to say that they could stay as healthy as Burns has been over his years here so far? I think we did the right thing in giving away DJ but not Brown or Burns because its a lot easier to replace DJs production vs a blue chip young D lineman.
  8. There's no guarantee this guy even makes the roster but I'd love him to be the RB2. We just don't know how much the new staff likes Chubba or Blackshear.
  9. My problem with paying all these defense guys is none of them are rock stars. Burns is the closest thing and that might be mostly because he IS the pass rush on our team. I've seen far too many crucial moments and games where he is a no show and I'm just shaking my head saying "where the hell is the pass rush??" That last Bucs game is searing in my head particularly. I better see some defensive players balling the fug out in 2023. And I better see Horn and Donte stay healthy.
  10. If you think Stroud is anywhere near Bryce you draft Stroud and coach him up IMO. Because he has prototypical size and throwing ability that Bryce will probably never have. If there's a huge gap and Bryce is lightyears ahead of Stroud in terms of decision making and ability to play under pressure, then pick Bryce. I don't think the gap is that wide. Id be OKAY with Bryce but Id be ecstatic if we got CJ Stroud.
  11. I just realized this interview is a bit old says 7 months ago... I didn't hear anything in this that was particularly insightful for Stroud anyway. He's got an extremely relaxed, "nothing phases me" sort of personality. I did learn some interesting stuff about NIL that I didnt know before.
  12. So much for have 100 mil plus of cap space next year. That's going up in smoke real quick with a few of these big re signings this off season or next
  13. I really wonder if any one making these prediction has any hard evidence or its all just uninformed guesswork. Logically the colts should have the best senario for trading up to 1. The have higher picks to trade and Bears wouldnt need to drop that far and probably still wind up with the best defensive player in the draft. The only equalizing factor would be if the Panthers were willing to trade more picks away than the Colts were wiling to.
  14. Can you imagine if we can't trade up and all the QBs go before 9?? Whew boi
  15. Well that's the season folks. Hoepfully we're hearing news about OC hire pretty shortly here.
  16. Well that was an underwhelming ending to an otherwise entertaining game.
  17. I can't blame him for the CBs being trash and Donte and Horn being injured but damn. At least try to put 2 men on evans or get a saftey to help. He kept getting 1 on 1 coverage deep and that ended up being the difference in the game. Just no adjustments and getting beat the same way repeatedly. THAT is coaching. Same with not going for those earlier 4th downs. That set the tone for the game. I'm OUT on Wilks. Tepper has literally 0 reason to give him the job with this performance now.
