  1. Im going to stand with this one until draft, its my best even if the WR is walker...*got in the 4th and sanders is/should be a top target for young too...makes up somewhat. Just how it fell, Barton is a dream being the only C with a 1st, chop lasted until 39 another dream, and got a future starter in huddle draft fav eichenburg. One issue can be the CB, but its impossible to fix every need with only 7 picks and not more early ones. Thomas was a BPA, wanted a WR, but at that point (240) the next few picks then its UDFA tunderdome. Pick the best and sign some WRs and CBs as UDFAs.
  2. Thanks fellow bear, I enjoyed the work you put into many of your posts just like MHS!
  3. You have what I feel is the perfect top 4 *if they were BPA at the time-WR, C, CB, and edge. I know I speak BPA non-stop, but I also feel strongly that those first four spots benefit the most. I also feel CB must be either 33rd or 39, but I have not done a deep drive into mid-late CB, just feel its major....the major hole currently and makes most sense to use a 2nd here. Just me tho. Honestly using another late pick there wouldn't hurt given the high success rate. I will say this, I think you need to add a LB as well(preferred 5-7). Just nothing behind Shaq and Jewell, with the new KO LB maybe the best players. Panthers need LBs, young ones. TE I feel is super weak this year, imo its best to ignore until the 5-7 rounds. 2 WRs 1 C 1 edge 1 CB 1 LB 1 TE/CB/DL/RB/S/BPA/etc That's what I normally shoot for, but talent overrides.
  4. Best I member, kalil started at OG and for a couple games and was Zavala bad..... Then hartwig got a concussion or something and kalil moved to C?? Kalil was a born center and could not play any other NFL spot. They cut hartwig the next year after signing him to a big (at the time) contract. It was a huge shock to Marty and crew that kalil was still there in the 2nd. Him and moose are about the only 2nd rounders that became ring of honor level players. They traded their 1st(revis) for beason(25th) and kalil 46(??).... nice deal for both, but I think jets "won" more. Hence a great example of true BPA and things still work out. There's so much turn over in the NFL, its been proven over and over that BPA is the best method to building a winner. But rarely any teams follow it, when many speak about it. FYI morgan was the MLB when beason was drafted....
  5. last one, hard to follow those top three.
  6. BPA is a case by case deal for me. Just say you already have a stud young RB under many years contract on the roster, but your BPA is a RB. Say you rate the draftee RB 87, * but there's a CB with a 85 rating also there. Bonus you have two open spots at CB. At this point I believe you should draft the CB and not the BPA RB. BPA can be said as BPA in terms of need/want. *But you could tell yourself injuries happen and it was the former GM who gave that RB a healthy contract, thus in turn draft the BPA RB....... Im a huge value nut that also a part of the complex formula. Also Im firm believer in the longer the draft goes, the higher value needs to switch to "upside". Cause looking at nearly all teams draft hauls, most times only 1-2 guys remain on the team out of the 7 or so picks. Plus I know starting in rounds 5(mid)-7 the success rates favors the IOL and DBs. Id follow that myself too. Plus where you are drafting makes a big deal as well, cause if you have a great team, maybe using the 29th overall pick on a OG makes more sense than the team drafting 2nd and needs everything.
  7. My only reason for not being in total football depression is if herbo was a panther, so would herniay to this day.....
  8. He's a funny looking fellow, his hair is off too...
  9. I looked into this some, Robinson never played NT by my findings. I've been asking what the line looks like given there's three guys in the 330 range and clowney played DE too(at least he did for Texans). SO I know they rotate heavy, but egos are egos about who's starting. I wanted sweat in the 3rd for a true NT until he screwed up, but Id still draft him in the 4th now... Just like with center, panthers don't have a NT on the roster...Tuttle is just acting as one.
  10. Im surprised that sanders and Tuttle didn't join the mass exodus of 23 FA class Hurst, bell, boz....
  11. I mean da bears have it next year and the best time to gain it back is during the draft. Im a sucker soo long as it comes with a massive overpay. Id nearly never trade up, much prefer to add darts than lose them...
  12. jeremy scott, came in with rhule....not a fan. But they team got high praise in that players poll, I believe the strength staff was rated in the top 5. They sure play weak, minus brown...
  13. I liked him much more in 2022. Still no other player is getting picked apart like Drake. Honestly I'm starting to see a little of the issues, but I still got him firmly as a top ten pick.
  14. fanspeak trying to test the limits with odunze falling.......
  15. My god if only you had a early-ish pick on CB, it still a great haul even with sweats dwi deal. If Morgan copy's this, A+!!
  16. That was what I referring to when I stated "lost overall talent, gained better "fit"". Nearly all the defense guys had either been with a current coach or played in the version of everos system. Not taking the hopuim this year tho. Plus I still think evero should have been the HC.
  17. Did you let the TSA microwave you?
  18. Most of those are LTs, I just never been a huge moton supporter. I view him as the 10-16th best RT, but he's never missed any games that I can recall and very solid though out his career. Plus he never could make the switch to LT. I've never been in his corner, but glad for him locking down the RT spot(just believe it should be at 13th RT rate, but far more pressing issues...) Honestly this draft maybe the right time to draft his replacement, if not for the many other needs/holes/wants. Maybe Ricky Lee can pull it off, they carried him on the roster for a reason. Looking at numbers, it does seem could be "set". Chirst is another player to think about too.
  19. my non-trade draft, big let down about where I picked edge, but you cannot reach. Not that big on trotter either(is he a two down LB?), but I do think LB is a big need/want(it's one year shaq, Jewell, and NOTHING). Didn't like the RB pick much either, but BPA and 2025 matter....hate to carry 4 RBs. Ill do one more a couple days before and that's all folks!
  20. It seems Brandt Tilis has stopped the insane restructuring for a 5 win team. I haven't looked but I think Moton is the 8th highest non-QB cap hit in the whole NFL, gooooo panthers!!!! I think he should take a pay cut.......but that's tilis job now..
  21. I honestly think Morgan will target CB and C with the 33 and 39. That's plan A and there are plans B-G to follow. But he's he needs to firm BPA.
  22. Heres a recent link about legette and coleman, panthers seem to be tore according to a ESPN "expert". https://lastwordonsports.com/nfl/2024/04/08/panthers-draft-targets-wide-receiver-xavier-legette-keon-coleman/ Refresh after the lame AdBlock. https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/episode-132-all-about-the-wide-receivers/id1552317359?i=1000651514299 Hour+ panthers draft podcast where the quotes came from. grain of salt and all, cause I got no clue about Jordan Reid's rep.
