Nice list, well since I agree with the parts I know. I have no clue about RBs, none. I keep my focus on panther needs. About the only small one is I have Paye as the best defender in the draft, above Rousseau even as a edge. Even for me hes in the 8th pick talks. Lastly Im driving the Lance spaceship and got him next to Lawrence.

Wentz update: Trade is close, with three teams involved
Basbear replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Its the worst one in the NFL history currently. People also over look his injury history too, hes got a few. Im still shock its not Wertz PLUS two 2nds to get rid of him, rather than GIVING two 2nds for him. Wertz is a 80 year old bridge across a swamp. -
Its simple, win until out of the youre mathematically out of the playoffs. Once youre out, smart move is too improve your draft resources. Start next year right then- Rotate/play young players, experiment with play calls. etc. If youd rarther win late season games to feel good, then your reward is draft 16th in each round. All the rah rah win crowd, never answered this question, maybe you will. Heading in the last week, with lots of luck the Panthers could still draft 3rd if they lost. If they won, 15th. Say it was happening, you'd honestly rather win a meaningless week 17 matchup to draft 15th in each round? Or lose a game everyone will forget by next year for the 3rd pick in each round? You see the value of that pick- its worth future 1s,2s, players, and more mid-rounders. Nah, F that lets win for team that 40% of the players will not be here next year.

@Anybodyhome Holy science, Litterbox runneth over!!! Thats some of most one-sided poo smearing. Only way this is possible is your brain worms had a blockage in their sewage system and it finally broken leading to a massive poo filled tsunami. Ignore the months of evidence and cherry pick others. Your head is not buried sand, its stuck in a sea of wet otter poo.

My issue with Darnold is one year leftd on his rookie deal. Hed have to learn another new system, to see if worth a new deal... Besides who wants to pay him 30 mill per right now?

Its like a large portion of NFL news for the next 3 months, goto any sports site and the highest traffic for NFL is mock drafts. You'd have to go drama surfing or make up stories if not for the draft/mocks. Just like everything, its doesnt matter if you or I think its pointless, if millions disagree there will be more mocks/draft talk. So if it makes money/sells more ads, its not pointless. I think bottle water is beyond dumb, but billions in sale laugh at me.

Need a warning label on Cams bath water, cause drink gallons severely clouds ones judgement on Cam..

If a QB isn’t there at 8... Slater is your pick

A talented fellow with long arms will hold a large advantage over the same level talent short arms fellow....... unless its swinging a baseball bat. -

Package another favorite of his- Tre Boston!! God dam fug Herniay with all these bad decisions!! -
Voth hates mocks, always has. Its weird cause hes media, and they are grrreat for clicks during the off-season. Dumb and wrong sure, but theyre not pointless. Mike Maycock hated them too, its like being a waiter but you also hate talking to people.... Its part of job and helps your job greatly during a low point. weirdos

I remember, I also remember the other 15 games too and understand all teams have one of the "those" performances during the season. Panthers had a shut-out, I think only 4 teams were able to match that feat. He got results with faaar less talent and did so without training camp, rookie camp, OTAs. Mainly with rookies(someone here thinks that a positive) and cast-offs, did you expect the D to play vastly better heading into the season?? I can not believe youre giving him no credit for the job he did. Youre wrong on this, bro.

Heinicke may beat him for the starting job if they go that route, doubt they give him a fair shot. I always liked the guy, confused why they cut when he played well in the pre-season games. Glad he got some good backup money..... SUPER glad the panthers didnt do that either. I know hes not the 'GM", but seems like a classic herniay over-pay, I have huge doubts any other team wanted his services. Many team now only have two QBs on the 53, so that means WFT believes hes better than 63 other QBs.... thats a hard sale even for a fan like myself...

Wut is happening?? Rookies...rookies, 3th, 4th, 2nd, 7th round roookies now solve your problems??
-
???.. is this one your baits? Snow proved his worth last year and I had plenty of questions about him leading the D. They lost the whole starting DL- Poe, KK(again in 20), Mario, Irvin, bradberry, top backup Bulter (laugh away, he had 7.5 sacks), HOFer Luke, Eric Reid, and top backup Cockell. ALLLLL OF that, convid, and new to the league/area AND still played better! The guy should have gotten assistant of the year. Theres a reason for using all picks on D, it was devoid of talent, hell it still is! Just pretend he took one class at UNC.

Its going to be Fields, Id rather pick a LT, DE, CB, WR over him.

??? of course hes in, but hes going to wait a few years. Can not believe this is a debate, has the huddle got more crazy? Yep hes not 100% clean and a bit of a jerk, but hes a 3x crown winner and his career was with sup-par QBs(including young Cam and old Joe). They heavily judge compared to era peeps and Steve was a 185 LB superman during his time. There was maybe only one CB that had a better win/loss % against Steve, everyone else caught Steves' hands...

@Zod do you still have that picture of Peppers with the "franchised" head stamped. It had an arm with stamper in the picture too. I had it saved on my old putter(rip) and its one of my first laughs here.

Basbear replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Im a pure sucker for long arms, 100%. Its almost if Slater is like 32', Id take him completely off the board. Other teams feel the same, CBs is another. Frittereer came form a team that started that trend for CBs, it does make their 40 time less important since you cover more surface area. Im that way about every spot, including punter! Long arms >>>>> short arms. Its the Boxing in me... -
Todd McShay mocks us to trade up with Miami to get Trey Lance
Basbear replied to electro's horse's topic in Carolina Panthers
Im driving the Lance spaceship and always honest. Hes a huge future projection, a big gamble at investing a top ten pick in. What can I say, Im a believer that he will be a legit top tier NFL QB. That system at ND, its a pro system, its a great head-start for the NFL. I do believe he also needs time, maybe not a full year, but hes behind others in this. Hes all ball too, (wait until millions happen..) and thats very important in this super complicated world. Honestly its a perfect fit for Rhule, Teddy, and this current team. Yes teddy has bus marks on his back, still like Lance this team needs to do so growing w/o 10 million Teddy. -

Burrow did look like a legit #1, it is about the individual. More starts means more tapes to study and pick apart. My #1 proven trait is how they handle adversity, cause NFL is about making QBs uncomfy. -

Basbear replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Hes arm length is everything. EVERYTHING in terms of millions of dollars. If he checks in 34+, no chance hes there at 8. Theres been legit sources stating Slater >> Sewell, non-click bait types. Im full sewell >> Slater tho, Idaf about Slater being a better RG than Sewell, LOL who cares about that?!?! -

It did help finding more successful QBs, just like many others methods its out dated. QBs have a little NBA one and done in them, your boy Mitch and recently Lance. You got to adapt. -
This guy had the worst combine in NFL history. Made Greg Little and Eric Flowers look like world beaters. Shows not to put too much stock into underwear olympics. There are still gamers out there.

We disagree about the easy part. Ive done the sportac& over the cap thing a few times, about the highest I get is 40-38 million. Thats with KK, weath, Parlay, Paradis all getting cut. Simple we'll math use 40. Rookie pool needs are 10(rough), tag for moton is 13, and you need to carry 8-10 into the season. That leaves 7 million for around 10 spots, some are starting spots. Check it out and see what you can come up with, just be real about numbers, contracts etc. Its not 100% correct either, but gives you a good idea. https://overthecap.com/calculator/carolina-panthers/
