He did and so did the defensive in giving up the lead too. D also gave Teddy a couple shots after he failed on the first too. -

I brag on Phil Snows season plenty, but the D could have also stopped the score that lead to being down too. Teddy still crap the 0-8 bed too. Plus some of those were also down by 8, so needed a 2 pointer too... -

I still feel it should have been TD with the DMVP over luke in 2013. And going to save my hate for lame one-day contract for another day... -

What does Moton tag mean for Curtis Samuel?
Basbear replied to micnificent28's topic in Carolina Panthers
@kungfoodude remember when I suggested/strongly supported signing Samuel at the years start for 3 years 21 mill and many call me crazy... Even in a unseeen down year, he could get vast more. Theres plenty of FAs WRS and Draft is loaded as well, that could give the panthers a tiny shot for resigning him. This will come down to if a team really just wants Samuel and not "fill a need". -

I remember this saying for 90s and early 2000s rappers when that looking mean/hardcore was all the rage. Hes got the permit "I stepped in dogshit" face. Never forgot and stuck with me in laughing at all of them... -

Is this an original Scot take? If so props. -
I think he fired two people soon after he got hired, one just got a job with WFT. Mark Carrier was the other, Scot would know.

Im changing mine- Move CB to 7th. RT to 6th and DT to 5th. Zone is ran too much to cover up lesser CBs, thus lowering the ranks for me. If theres was a true man-to-man elite corncer, that gos back to 5th, but theres not one like that except maybe Rams, but they still run zone at times.

I see the best quarterback in the draft on one play, and on the next play, I see a guy that makes stupid mistakes. Throws off his back foot a lot. Has a lot of balls tipped. He’s a first-rounder, but I wouldn’t take him until the bottom (of the round).” Thats my same take on Fields and I hate those types. I remember posting in the first Fields thread, "He looks like a UDFA", then the next game "He looks like a top three pick" Ive had him as a late 20s pick since and have not moved any. Lance is great stuff as well, I like that taste comment.

Brugler is the best overall draft source. Doesnt matter mocks, ranks, rumors etc. Hes got legit history too, I mean hes been right loads of time and built up credit imo. McGinn posts real scouts takes for many players, great stuff in all. DJ at NFL.com is great for ranking, its shows his distain for mocks(honestly I dont care for mocks either). Jeff legwold is another great draft read, just he releases his top 100 soooo late (like one week before the draft). Still its different and hes got great information on that list that I respect. Tony Pauline is good for rumors and draft news. Greg cosell and Jay Glazer are in my circle of trust for NFL news in general and if they report some draft news I listen as well. I may be missing some other lesser known draft guru, but these are my main go-tos for draft fixed.

Chris Simms “no way the panthers draft Lance at 8”
Basbear replied to GoobyPls's topic in Carolina Panthers
Its fair, I have concerns too and just like everyone even Lawrence have things to work on and improve. Just he has elite upside skills and you only get that by drafting them very early. Plus if there was more tape like the 42-0 TD year, no chance he'd make it til the panthers. I mean most/all players like Lance get better(college-wise), cannt think of a college guy that followed a great year with a dud in recent time. -
Bargain shopping in FA on the horizon per Gantt
Basbear replied to top dawg's topic in Carolina Panthers
Ill go out on a limb and say if a certain player wants to sign a big deal, they will. The thing about Moton is this, they know what it would take and could at any point sign him to lower his cap number more. So its a power move, we dont have space is miss leading. -
What are you talking about??? It not like theres history with these moves. Or the fact how other teams pay ILBs and RBs. Trends are dumb too, future learning my ass! Im not stoopid YOURE THE STOOPID ONE!!!1!1!!!!

I swear a few of these guys will just retire rather than take a small one year deal. Draft will be more valuable this year and UDFAs too.

Bob is in my circle of trust for draft news, miss reading his pieces.

4. Sit tight and hope Lance falls to #8. This would be extremely risky and I think you only make this play if you're also willing to entertain another QB option in the draft. 5. Sign Mitch Trubisky. He's a free agent so no trade would be necessary. It would be a "prove it" deal so signing him wouldn't necessarily eliminate any of the other draft options already discussed. I would much rather sign Trubisky to a prove it deal than draft Mac Jones at #8. 8. Trade for Garner Minshew. The Jags are drafting Trevor Lawrence. Minshew has real value as a backup, but so would a mid-round pick to help them build around Lawrence. Minshew is also still on a dirt cheap rookie contract so this move would have minimal cap implications. Some of y'all might be rolling your eyes at this suggestion, but do understand that we are WELL into the "oh fug, this is NOT going our way" portion of the list. I echo these, just think its beyond dumb to trade picks for a QB for this current teams roster. Panthers need talent and picks help that.

Maybe he identifies differently, did you every think of that jerkface!1!!11!1!!... -
That would fine, its harder to find a great LT than QB.... and with the current team its not a 100% must getting a QB this year. They tired to sign Haskins. Mitch, Hundley, and Garder are cheap options too. Should have signed Winston this past year for cheap, rather than Teddy two times..

Williams was terrible as a LT and OG, *NOT* as a RT. He was 2nd team all-pro and just had a great year at RT again. So again should have kept and *played* Williams at RT and moved Moton to LT. Both would be around 25 years old and the OL would have been in great shape for the now and future. Panthers blew this. -

For personal reasons, Im glad he "stunk" and glad theres no combine for him too. I just hope enough brain cells are firing correctly over at Panthers headquarters to on top of the Lance sweepstakes.
