Am I wrong in thinking Gano had one year were he only missed one or two FGs for the whole year and big brained huddlers STILL complain?.... EVEN when youd bring up he only missed one FG for the year?? He did miss a couple/few XP that year, but going like 35/36 in FGs and still get pissy, my god....why?!?!
-
I defended him like crazy, same for Bradberry. During Ganos time here the kickoff coverage team was the worst in the NFL, Gano minimized their involvement. Yea he did have injuries later on, but just proved to be over them at least for the past year. ugh, never got the blind hate for either...hell Shaq is getting their too.
-
Id rate Shaq much higher than decent or average. For a LB he has great coverage skills, not many LB are good covering TEs, RBs, and slow WRs. Thats super important in the this passing era NFL. Shaq can and has done it plenty, more than the one fitz game. I didn't like the contract(CMC too) either, but like you and I posted years ago said- Herniay hardcore panicked. One thing panther do right with 1st rounders is they are most times the youngest(or very close) player in draft. Shaq is only 26 and played 6 full seasons, so he could be just entering hes prime. But please dont believe Shaq is "decent/average". If average is a 5 on the 10 scale, Shaq is a solid 7 overall. He truly is a modern LB too- many can not biltz, cover, hit with force, fast, quick, tough, work in traffic, shed blockers like the package Shaq brings.

Give it up for the panthers decision makers on this= they had three kickers in Butker, Gano, and Slye. They choose the worst one, great job guys!! SB winning kicker on a cheap 4 year deal, nah(do I need to say in just 3 years hes 2nd ALL-time in kick %). Proven Gano that lead the league in touchbacks(panthers had the poorest kick team during this FYI), among the league leaders in kick % for a few years, nah plus bad take fan gave him hate. So who is leftd? Sourbunns armed guy that has a strong but not accurate leg...

Shaq is in that weird area of the huddle, just as Gano and Bradberry were in aka Poor take land. Yes hes not a bargain, but its not a extreme overpay either. Very few LB have Shaqs toolset and its incorrect saying he can not cover. He locked up HOFer Larry Fitz as a slot CB and played as a big nickle with good success. He a hard working type and puts in plenty of weight training time. He does have issues with play recognition and that makes him appear slow on the field or in the wrong area at times. FYI no player has constant stats. If player X has 16 sacks in a season, he did not get one each game. Every time he had 4, 3, 4, sack games against a weak opponent. Shaq is no different in his stats. Honestly I hoped the team finally turned on their brain and not over valuing the LB spot. I had no issue with cutting Shaq before the team triple down by converting his base into a signing bonus. Now we are stuck with Shaq and CMC......feels like old times......heaaaa

My god.... they talk as bad as I type!

Pride is in dog fight for staying on the roster. Panthers added Horn, AJ, Taylor and vet Melvin. Panthers mainly carry 4, sometimes 5 CBs and Djak should make the team as well. AJ is missing the first two weeks and that may help Prides chances. Amazing to see where the CB group was at the 2019 off-season compared to now. STO is another one whos fighting for a roster spot as well, good problem to have...
-
If you look at start of 2020 compared to right now, I believe LB flipped form being the 2020 best to 2021 worst. It also depends on where Chinn is playing each given snap. Honestly its a good thing with the flip, it shows the panthers efforts to improve D as a whole(they have) and LB is one of the least valued groups. LB, along with OL and QB should be the focused spots to improve during the next off-season.

Two Teens Arrested For Thomas Davis Home Break In
Basbear replied to KatsAzz's topic in Carolina Panthers
One of the smartest men I know said to me long ago, "All 16 year old boys need to be put in jail. Then let the process play out so everyone can find jesus or get scared straight or _______ into not wanting to return there." I thought it was extreme, but older Ive gotten the more its making sense. Theft has gone up 400% 1000% 50% in many different areas since cost of living keeps going up with inflation. Car jacking is insane right now. I got a old couple old sheds on my lands that recently got visited as well... -
Yea they got my blood boiling after years of seeing them spread non-sense. My own fault for trying to show others that live by them their issues/faults. I checked myself before blowing a gasket and now going avoid PFF topics......except for drive-by pooping.... If I get out of line, check me iamhub.

10x better than PFFFtttt's pile of troll dung.

All I can come up with is Jags over played their hands, grossly. Theyve been trying for months and even during the draft, price scared off ALL teams and they made other plans. Now you have teams set at QBs rooms and Jags still have a player who they want to trade/wants to be traded too. Lower the price and try again... Personally think the panthers would not trade for him in fear that he wins the job. Im sure the panthers called and the price may have been the same cost as the darnold trade. For me Im clearly Minshew >>> Darnold. He reminds me of a better Jake, that can fool you with his legs if needed too. Someone is spreading bad rumors about Minshew, cause this doesnt make sense.....well most things are like that now..
-
{Channel my inner Darnold} Like no one has many of the ranking like play caller like PFF does. Plus I stay away form pre-season ranks and predictions for nearly all providers. Just not my type of content, blood boiling is not good for this silly stuff.
-
Im sort of shocked, Jerry Flower is as good as anyone for this type of information. Minshew doesnt want to be on a team that doesnt feel hes good enough for starting....I understand both sides, jags had to draft sunshine and Minshew played well enough to get a real chance at starting. It one of those were its best for both sides to part. I think Minshew is better than Darnold right now, in a nano sec Id trade the 6th or 5th or _____ for him.
-
Thank god I quit commenting about how dogshit PFF ranking are, this is another extreme load of feces. what a joke.

https://www.yardbarker.com/nfl/articles/jaguars_asking_price_in_gardner_minshew_trade_revealed/s1_12680_35117363 that along with links say the same thing. I think he worth waaaaaay more, in fact I believe he would beat out Sam Darnold if trade here shortly. Just like when the panthers should have signed Winston for 1 yr 1mill instead of teddy 3yr 63mill, Minshew for a panthers 2021 6th is much better than Darnold for a 2021 2nd and 4th.
-
Do the panthers have a better QB room than the eagles?.....I think both are fighting for the 32nd spot(along with Denver).... Plus Im talking PS only here, not even 3rd string. Tho I think with a couple months on this team, he could surpass both Walker and/or Grier .....but that gos for about any QB with my feelings on those two. Need to trade for Gardner Minshew, price is cheap and so is his sal for 2 years.
-
Its weird cause Gil Brandt said he hear good reports, then a couple days later cut. PS is not big time stuff, you mainly play the role of that weeks QB on the scout team. Learn lots of plays and get time against the 1s. Not bad for someone like Newman, it does hurt bad when you are a OTA cut....even more while its at a teams weak spot too. But many times players are cut not cause of skill or talent, it could hes a jerk, pissed off the wrong person, late to a meeting, fought with a important teammate, gambled, walks around naked too much, smells bad, etc etc.
-
How about the panthers make a cat bro trade with jags for Gardner Minshew, 6th or 5th is what the price is. Cut Grier and let him go do the cry part like most Instagram stars do in the cycle, he could milk it for months. Walker is now your PS guy. Only issue I see........Minshew would beat out Darnold thus making the panthers trade a 2+ for the backup........BUT only a 6th for the starter and hes cheap too...

Bill Barnwell ranks the Panthers offseason as 7th worst
Basbear replied to Peon Awesome's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think Finesser himself said the trade Giants got was better than the one offered to him, I think it was overheard during the long offseason recap vid. Bears upped their offer cause he kept on falling and were scared about losing him. I think the panthers offer did not even include the future 1..... -

I got them at 6-11. I feel the playoff talk is one more year away. Just like many teams, the play form the QB could put the panthers in the playoffs this year. -
Your wording >>> mine. I was being as nice as I could, not cause he was a panther but he of the few ones that spends real time in helping others.

You are correct, that 3 is a hard one tho. Roddy White, Horn, Vjackson, Moose, colston, Meshawn(what are the rules for this?) are a few that give a young Evans a run for 3....in fact I would place Roddy White at 3 this year and by seasons end Evans would pass him.

The thing that hurts my take is Horn already looks like a 5 year pro. His father has been getting him the best coaches since he could walk. Just the best rookie CB last year Jeff Okudah looked like a street UDFA, Tony pride played better..... It just happens with rookie CB, horn does have a decent chance at breaking that tho. I am not putting anything with Horn exceptions-wise. Horn does need to practice with oven mitts til he can hold his own....then start with the Sherman slick holding 800 IQ lockdown tech...
