One way to show where the value is by how the league pays positions. The league pays more to WR. It maybe easier to find WR, but that is partly due to team base being 3 WRs and teams mainly carry 6-7. Safety and some LB can play nickle, so CBs are not in the same demand. Panthers carry 4 CB for periods of time. So theres more WRs than CBs. Also league rules favor WR, honestly there is no Revis island or Asomugha level CB in the nfl. All get help at times and with the rules, its near impossible to lock down WRs(unless weather). Plus there are no "zone" WR, where lesser talented CB can cover WR. Few reasons why I got WR>>CB.

I echo this. I normally want to avoid injury-risk players in the first two rounds, but Farley is different..... Plus if hes there and they pass, I fully understand.

Imagine if Herniay drafted Herbert...... youd HAVE to re-sign the guy who draft the leagues best young QB. You MUST. Herbert, YGM, Chinn, Roy, Pride, Krob, STO.....been a all-time class and hernaiy would still be GM.

I want 5 QBs drafted before 8. Then the pick will either Pitts, Chase, and Sewell, No matter! I want Sewell, Id still be over Jupiter if panthers landed Pitts or Chase.

I dont value ANY CB at the 8th pick, theres a huge gap for me between Sewell/top 3 WRs and Horn/Sustain/Farely. Not as big a gap but Id still prefer Slater over the 3 CBs. Id honestly take Kwity Paye over 3 CBs, just far more value at OT/WR/DE than CB.....unless its a prime revis clone. I dont know about the New GM Fitterer, but I know he should value LT/DE/WR over CB too. There is whispers about Panthers targeting Sustain and/or Horn.

I got you one better. Panthers lose the WFT game, picking 3rd. Turn down 49ers three 1sts and 3rd trade offer and draft Mac "fuging" Jones.... I think the first will be form this group Sewell-Slater-Smith-Waddle-Chase. Not buying the QB talk, its a OT or stud WR .............darkhorse is Horn

The pro day just finished and the object of attraction was in fact McNeill, who is getting solid third-round grades from teams. They will get a tad more space when Tre Boston contract effect happens after the june 1st date. Same for when Teddy is cut/trade(doubt..) Around 3-5 million for boston, teddy could be anywhere form 7-18 million.

What I heard, well heres the timline- 49ers made the trade. kyle shanahan runs the show and he wanted Mac Jones. Two days later, it leaks out the scouts/front office peeps want Lance. Kyle listens some and they are begging him to pick Lance. Both Fields and Lance want to play for 49ers cause the rate of success will be higher, each hold 2nd pro-days. That turns into recent heat about Lance to 49ers, but the person in charge still wants Mac "****"Jones. Thats where they are today.

Im aware, going to be a change a coming....If I remember correctly you where on the lance bus very early. I was in many threads, singing the lance praise. Me, personally, after the darnold i switched gears to wanting Sewell, Pitts, or Chase. I understand wanting going to the QB well til you get one, just feel its too much for this panthers team to invest 8th overall at QB. I dont buy the fritterer bluff about drafting a QB. You can have the spaceship, I transfer the right to drive to you.

Its similar to PFF, its a decent gauge. Thing is change happens. Example- the 45th pick in every new draft may hold a different value. Depends on when the talent drop happens. Rookie scale, at one point you could not trade the 1st overall without adding millions in the deal, no one wanted to pay a rookie top 5 pay day one. This year showed what the 3rd overall pick was worth, vastly more than previous years. QBs make the chart worthless at times. Plus if you get the player you highly value/want, so what if the chart shows you give a extra 14 points/future 6th/etc. You got a player that you think is a difference maker, who cares you "lost" by adding a extra 7th...

No one can predict the future and crazy things happen all the time, but I agree with you. I thought if fields gos 2nd(at best), theres still no chance lance is around til 12....no chance at all(again this bet is month+ old) I was driving the lance-to-panthers spaceship til Darnold happened. Huge fan of what would have been if Lance landed in carolina. I was going to make a real panthers to SB (within 5 years) prediction if they landed lance.
