big fact here. I remember the excuse as to why- they/fittterererrer/panthers needed all the extra cap space in order to court Watson. I believe even Reddick said so on a pod/YouTube/SM. Like you said, he was better than BB and we are talking everything the run, being a teammate, etc etc. He's NFL "old" now but Id still welcome him back on a fair/team friendly deal.

I think BY needs a top tier pass-catcher, its cheaper to use either the 8th on Tmac or 57th on a fallen TE like Elijah Arroyo... This is ATs last year but all accounts of team leave readers, now you'd have to pray/hop sanders, Coker, and XL reach top tier status.........I want to increase the odds....

During their history, it's the one thing the Panthers got right about never paying safety big money!! I may need to adjust my budget, besides not valuing them, its the lack of Panthers cap space for the reason for that low number. I still look at it like this, you CANNOT pay every position top dollar. period. Some spots are just going to get less, safety is one of groups I just refuse to pay *rare exceptions- Sean Taylor, Ed Reed, Ronnie Lott. I think the league is wrong about paying TE, I'm the opposite here- BIG TIME. If I had my way, 2 TEs would be getting top 5 money since its soooo low. I'd be overpaying them, upsetting the whole league...

He's shouldn't cost 30 or 20 million per. This is the some realistic player the player should sign form all the release&trade pool. Dave talked about how a TE would fully maximize his playbook..... this is the player, btw he doesn't count against comp picks since he was released, but there are some injury issues nothing too crazy I think....

Yep, not going to lie.... During whatever draft it was (2021?) I was hoping with all the football gods power that Pitts would fall to the Panthers...... Glad he didn't and he's turn the falcons against themselves. Im just a Uber TE want to control the middle of field believer. But looking at the last 20-25 years, its best to past on 1st round TE and focus on 3rd and 4th rounds where it feels like half the starters came from. This is a great year for TE and one should make to Panthers mid-round picks, I want that Miami TE Elijah Arroyo! For this years draft, I feel there's like 2-5% difference between the 8th and 18th. Other years its full round difference. The issue is DK wants a new deal, that's the problem in the trade. It's like he's a FA, but you have to give up a 2nd in order to give him some mega 150 million deal. I don't like that for teams that win 5 games and have so since for the last 6 years. feels like a trap...but good for forum banter .
