  1. 100% of all pro sports owner do the same thing, (there is one who didn't, but I can not recall). Its the price of having a NFL or NBA or MLB or Hockey team or race track or etc in the area. They ALL get and ask for money. so screw you for making me defend tepper....!! Im sure you know the rent poor Mr.tepper has to pay each year as well..... Plus its sorta been busted about the impact of having a pro team in the area. The impact is no greater than a super target, its basically the reason why county clubs members drive GMC rather Chevy or wear Rollie's that Seiko watches. Its a status symbol, plain and simple. "O you live in city without a NFL team, you're a fly-over poor".
  2. Most on the front page have it right. NFL is a meat grinder and each year around 300 players are replaced....They don't wait around, your replaceability is at 99%. Just the burrows, parson, Jackson, malhomes, garret, etc They are the only ones not worrying about getting dropped for some rookie....but give it time....30 years old is a fossil in the NFL now, barely no one is 32 unless you had elite skills in your 20s. Brooks is also at a high risk for all injuries given 2 years and 2 ACLs within 2 years. Odds are stacked against him, Panthers have to act like he's not on the roster until roster cuts....
  3. If the inats use the same game plan, you have to throw at the blitz and run more TE/WR smoke screens at the blitzing side. You have to force them to stop sending a CB blitz, make them pay. Honestly Id like to see Hunter in this game besides Horn, whom has done near nothing in months. Hunter is a killer on those smoke routes and is a master at seeing a weak spot when a team is blitzing CB. Add this too- Run the read option a few times, those CBs have to make a choice and if they choose wrong, the chance for a big gain is there. Id also tell BY to pump fake more this week too. Evero should have looks that Tyler has not seen, he needs to confuse and hope Tyler has TOs. No BS this nFC south is weak and all, but the iants are one of the better 3-10 teams I can recall. They play hard and look very well coached without big talent. I think around 5 of the losses were the classic one or two plays away from wins.
  4. Defenses have the edge at this time. Believe it or not Cam started the "college" offense migration into the NFL, that zone read was a problem for years.....Until defenses started to hit the QB no matter what. I always blamed the "old school" guard for not trying college systems/plays, WHO gives a good GD sooo long the play gains yards and the defenses has no answer!!! It was soooo Stoopid. They didn't want their #1 or first round QB on field with plays he was comfy with?? What the hell line of thinking was that!?!?!? It was force their BS system on a young mind and not win the dam the game. They didn't want to get replaced, scared bed wetters.... Plus Ive said this for years, all teams run similar offenses. If the play works, it may look different pre-snap, but that if that OC is smart he will implement concepts into his style of offense. Mike Martz had the whole league copying him, why cause his offense caused huge problems, DUH!! He started the whole calling a run/pass on the same play, it screwed up teams for years. Its the same for any bright mind, the plays are only good if you use them and they do each week- Andy Reid, Shanny, Mcvay, Payton ALL copy each other. They are always looking for a edge and miss-match, which was a big thing not long ago too force a miss-match. Now nearly all top 20 teams have 3 WRs that will bust your ass, along with a good-great TE and RB. Its just the current league, you need to be ready each week cause here coming a UNIT that's ready to drop 40+ if you are not ready. Rams don't need a punter if they are switched on. Its takes another brilliant mind like Bill Bellicheat to figure how to slow down juggernaut offenses. The amount of teams that used Bills methods after he showed the league how to stop teams, people just don't know. Mcvay is back on fire, but Bill showed the league the blueprint to stopping MCvay.....couple years and Mcvay is back on top just killing the score board.
  5. @LinvilleGorge I guess others want to discuss this beat to death topic, huh?!
  6. Dang maybe I was in a coma, Ill get better bro... I just couldn't believe last night and see the ACC championship and that's who was in it?!?! Again I have not followed much, moving sucks all the arses...
  7. Panthers had every right to fire him after he fielded the worst D in (scoring) NFL. He's done a good job and its not easy with all the new players. Im here now- If he stays, that's fine and if he leaves, that's fine too. Plus that DJ Johnson sink is still in the hair, along with many of "former" players....Nick Scott is playing better tho, but the eye for talent and tiny sack number numbers...... Still good enough to help the Panthers win more than they have.
  8. Forgive me, I had not followed college ball or ACC.....but how in the wide world of sports did the 23 team ACC.........HOW DID DUKE AND VIRGINIA make up for the championship?!?!? Then duke wins on top of it?!?!? Geez don't let ECU or Elon or app join this league, any of them can make it to the championship, Jesus what happen??
  9. I 100% disagree with TE being a need or want, how about a QB that elevates the TEs?!?!? Evans looks great for rookie in any round that's not in the first 20 or so picks. Sanders had a slumply year 2, but he's still got talent. Tremble is a decent combo blocking and when he is targeted hes soon to be able the catch a bad pass Even the backups Mitchell aka governor and Pierre has been on the PS for the whole year. Everyone here is below 26 years old and the "starters" are below 25. Its in a great spot, faaarr better than any recent Thomas years....
  10. instead of Sheduer Sanders!! How would they replace the inactive game stats and impact?? Not that BY could take the pressure of a 5th rounder... or Panthers having a cheap young option heading into 2026, who wanted that?!?! ibe4 Neon Deon.....
  11. On the page it shows sacks given up and playing time among things, Im not familiar with their market value history or how close they are. I just seen it while I was 'arm chairing GMing" and was like "holy lee *** 12.5?!?!?! for Mays?!?!" Im totally guessing about both christ and Corbett, just think the OL group as whole really enjoys it here with the coaching staff. Everyone came back last year and that never happens. Yea for me its too easy- edge and QB are the clear want&needs. I've very guilty of being a "under dog" fan, its one of my biggest weaknesses. I follow the PS and nearly always pick a UDFA to "declare" the next panther ring of honor.... The feel good stories are much rarer since everyone has gotten better at finding talent, but I can not help myself.... Just to add, I am aware of this. I also know the NFL has a 35% turnover and its a true meat grinder. Now I am super happy about Simmons adding to the PS, then I recall watching him avoid contact in many plays....Thats nearly impossible to overcome as a MLB, should have been a kicker.....
  12. You nearly aced it with the first reply, I was impressed. A&M is like Florida, under the radar NFL factory(compared to bama/GA). I never got the three players either, plus only reason I knew about Nic was he was a recent 2nd rounder.
  13. Nah, they have been here since the great reset times, Ive read each of their posting for years. I know they can read "Without cheating' in the header too. I trust them on this.
  14. No losers here, glad you could take time form all your BY posting to post a answer..LOLS! You got ND. The only two I thought of were Bama and SC, then I never could figure out the other schools with 3 players. I thought I would have to drop a hint or two - "Think about ST....." nope two ollllld members came in here on crushed it!
  15. I was thinking about that when I was thinking of posting this question in the bye week. It the "recent" past..... it was a reg flag to see a player with more than one school.....now its almost common to have 3.....I forget the player,he was a DE and he had 6 schools in 6 years.....a god dang mercenary
  16. Bobby Brown (backup DL, signed this offseason...like you don't know.....) Demani Richardson (UDFA STer that stuck since last year) You got one new guy that gets like 12 snaps and a STer that gets like 7 only on ST. I thought it would stump many for a day or two.
  17. Winn er Winner, dang I thought this would be harder for the huddle. Congrats to Both. SC is #1 with 5. Bama is just like the remaining 3 players, @OldhamA Ray was the other you missed DLman LaBryan Ray. ND also is where thee legend JJJ is form. A&M is the school I thought would be the hardest to guess.
  18. I use to work the late nights and sports talk had a great show hosted by Ben Maller. He called himself a degenerate gambler. He had a segment where he bet against coin flips, more than a few times the coin would win that days games and stay ahead of his picks. Funny stuff, callers made the show good too. He also had a get rich idea and shared it with the listeners. He said - " Send me one dollar in the mail and I'll send you the secret to getting rich " ' He'd send you back a piece of paper saying to ask people for money advice by sending you money ".
  19. Roger that, one good part of Christ's injury is he should come back on the cheap for 26. You maybe right and I have over valued Mays too, still Im few millions below sportac(I feel 8ish)- https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/player/market-value/_/id/77076/cade-mays If they are keeping lewis and hunt, provided they are healthy, dang near anyone will look good at C. I think Corbert is coming back as well, unless he is on the "only starting" deal. Yea, faaaaarrrrr too early for draft stuff, but I feel strongly that the Panthers need to double down on the QB and edge market. That's with the growth of Nic and prince. Pat Jones is under contract, but missing time with a back mean he's a total unknown, as in the Brooks group...you can not count on him. I was wrong about DJ too, hes been the biggest let down for me this year. Thus they need edge, not going to post my 287th BY post, if he's here or not, they need young comp. Right now the nerds are saying great-good edge class, still too early and teams always overdraft them too.
