Corral got the upgrade of a lifetime, hes in the perfect spot. Doesnt matter and the minshews/darnold/biscuits/etc nor the top 9 drafted QB, corral can still showcase he belongs. I still hold belief hes got "it".
-
Thats a good deal for me, most times have shown Im right and even in recent times as well...... When the guy you are drafting instantly becomes either the fastest guy in the league or 2nd, the top 1% of 1% athletically, and has top 10 arm strength. Dam shame about the dog deal and his laziness about learning/watching tape. But coming out of college he a 100% hacked version of a madden QB, in fact he was banned(then nerfed) too. He only lost one college game as well......He was incredible in college and i still say hes in the next level of "cannt miss" QBs.

Peppers, Mcclover, smitty, jake, gross......

Dont let it happen to you, the combine and pro-days are more valuable than ever.

Thats part of it, SD had a AWFUL rep and it goes to the money. I take that a slight * in regards to the trading of the pick. The way Archie handle SD behind the cameras, was OG gangsta style. That was soon after and the same method were being used.......SD was cheap and hated paying rookies top money(they had lots of hold-outs), they were partly right cause in 2011 it was changed.
-
Maybe my isnt, cause I dont recall that. I do remember SD had terrible ownership and rep, that many avoided ala eli deal as well. Was there any "I aint playin for SD?". Plus didnt SD have rivers or brees? I somewhat remember elway refusing to play for colts and sparking giant issues- trades, AFL, etc. I think the pick was traded for too, but more of a forced deal. They did get offense LT and brees(2nd round and bunch other picks), so didnt already have QB. hmmm. I still put Vick right there after the elway, luck, and law. I feel like people forgot how he was the living cheat code for some time.

In the sense that the demands could not be reached. No chance ATL was trading the vick pick. Plus just like the others, vick checked all the boxes, his arm strength was legendary. About the one issue, he was a lefty with accuracy questions. College wise, hard as it is to make this work. For sure Id taken vick over manning. A tyreek hill that has a 155, gimmie that.....

He sorta went viral with it in early football interwebz days.....I still member it, he slowly walked up to it and rockets went off. Not as hard as flat footed, but still insane for the time. Now fat boyz are even putting 55ish.....I think his was 60. He was a true frak, just like vernon davis.

He was a BAD DUDE.

I was a great young player and then the others caught up with me. Not going to lie, I didnt enjoy it as much when that happened. *But* i hit another late growth and got back "ahead", then I noticed some of the others gaining........ I went to my still current doctor and asked him for steroids. He told he needed to time to research this and scheduled another appointment. I came back and he said "Do you enjoy laying in dirt". I was confused and finally answered " no, not really ". he looked into my familys history and determined Id be long dead before 40 if i got on roids. Just about all the men in my got or had heart issues. I didnt push harder and didnt go against his guidance. You could have made a GREAT living overseas playing BB. One of friends had a roommate that was a one. This was many moons ago but we talked about and he got around 115,000 and got EVERYTHING take care of. Like great food daily=free. They gave him some free badass audi and free limo service if needed. Paid for a nice pad and washed his clothes. It was like he a out of country prince visiting. All 1st class stuff/treatment......the kicker was he was a off the bench type player ala like a YCMA all-star.....I couldnt believe it, he did that for years and my friend owned the house in a super pricy area.

fuging Mccadoo and rhule too....... It was awful then and worse now.......I do get the TE market jumped levels, doesnt mean you should reward a "never-was" with some 3 year 21 million type of deal....... I do wonder how the total new and legit NFL staff view Thomas......I bet we will see at some point in the off-season. I believe the whole group wants one of out of the top 5 FA TEs........if daley and little had a market, maybe thomas does.....but I got grave doubts...

Interesting twist regarding Lamar Jackson...
Basbear replied to Proudiddy's topic in Carolina Panthers
Im doing what I hate...... I hate agents. Jackson needs to hire an agent, BIG TIME. You can get by without one of those scum suckers in the draft, just have an NFL lawyer review the contract. Plus not for nothing if youre some 5 million type of player as well....BUT HUGE 100 milllion+ type of deals, you need a brass balled shark on your side. I know lamar reads the huddle, so lamar "Get you a shark agent to even the playing field"..... -

following scot post and as a contractor, plenty of others destroy their body for much less. guys like him, just dont get it. talk to doctors and nurses, they will tell you. I still hold on to the belief, if Id got on some good PEDs, I could have been some practice squad bouncing guy that just needed a couple years on the 53 and make 600,000 each year......life changing. Like others I played and had a former dallas cowboy player(my coach), tell my father that I had what to takes to play in the NFL. But I changed that path with work, I had to work. I also choose to race go-carts, just wasnt enough time for football. Even while at college had david garrard ask me to join, but i too into women and booze to go back to football. Dumb looking back.

NFL: Bezos barred from bidding on Commanders
Basbear replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
I said before hes the one person that could write one hell of a book. just a few- NFL player, 85 bears, draft into spot where he wasnt need while he was a college stud, paid dues up coach ranks, great DC, turn down 9 times for HC, 9.7 years at Charlotte, SB 50, brother cancer, Keep pounding, military, always gave goat Bill the toughest games, dave fired within 2 weeks of TC and herniay back......, fired and gos to the circus show that is wft, the name of NFL, another odd owner and he had to answer questions as the face of each team, etc etc -
I think there needs to be a cap status thread sticky to the top. Panthers are at -4,000,000 with Colbert can kicking. FYI to all huddlers, panthers do not have the space this year. Yes, it's possible to get around 55 million with every single trick in the book. FYI panther will need around 10 million to sign rookies. FYI most team like to carry around 10 million into the season for injuries. SOooooooo do the math, it's near impossible to sign or trade for a player/s that have some 20mill per year contract. Ramsey is a pipe dream, but dont let me stop dreamers even though its super silly....

Coaching Staff: Final Pieces (as of 2-23-23)
Basbear replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Brother thanks for forum news, you are still in high sky with me. Im old enough to know no one bats 1.000, dont listen to the troll/haters when they comment. -
Well if thats the case, panthers scouting staff do not view him over a future 2023 UDFA......plus no other team has jumped on him. Seems i over-valued him..... rip big snacks...
