I didnt want Rhule(tired to bump those threads, but anything over 2 years cannot......) nor did I want fat mike........ In alllllllllllll my brilliant thinking and looking over alllllll the potential coaches, I came to the decision that Josh McDaniels was the best choice....
-
Fair take. Currently Im 50/50 on finessererer. I do believe Rhule had full control and for a few moves allowed finnesererer full control. Just guessing about which, i feel the QBs ones fall on Rhule. Plus after herniay gave the fan-base hernias, it shouldnt be asking much for the next GM to be/do better. I think most have a unfair expectation for what is a NFL GM is. example; drafting-wise, what equals a good-to-great draft class....believe it or not its just 2 starters and one super-sub/STer. Free ageny- its even a wiiiider net that must be thrown with "hit" rate being something like 20%. It feels to me most fans think a NFL GM must draft and any signed free agents the "hit" rate needs to be nearly 100%.....and they non-stop harp on "one" failed pick or FA. In closing- I do also feel Rhule while still in full control, heavily leaned on Finessererererer come draft time duties. Results form the last two combined classes have been above average returns and most of it was with Rhule screwing up the development of many of them. ie Christ, TMJ, Franklin, Tremble, etc. I got no strong opinion on keeping him(feels like tepper 100% will) or if it was a total rebuild with a new GM/scouts.

Silver Linings: Unheralded Player Shoutouts
Basbear replied to Bear Hands's topic in Carolina Panthers
These are my favorite type of threads, but they never get replies. @Bear Hands knew that OL was getting love for most of the year. still have to bring up= Christ- never played LG and was next to a rookie.....I thought he killed it. McCail- forced the panthers to wavie Nixon twice and hoskins as well. For a UDFA had good start(just making53) and ended with less of impact. Pinerio- minus one game, I would say he had a strong case for team MVP Hekker- I dont care about ST, but here I am fluffen two members.... Should have made the pro-bowl and led the league at pinning inside the 20. -

MMQB: Breer on Wilks/potential OC candidate
Basbear replied to *FreeFua*'s topic in Carolina Panthers
At that point just hire Ben as HC...... Again I started the Shane Steichen hype train, thats the one name that I would forgive tepper for his rhule hire. -
Next Offensive and Defensive Coordinator
Basbear replied to Chris Smitty's topic in Carolina Panthers
I will tell you what I heard about bidwell/Kleim in regards to wilks hiring coaches. Wilks was NOT given full coaching staff control. They force him to hire McCoy, it had nothing to do with carolina. Basically Wilks got to hire most of the defensive side and ownership/GM had to "approve" for the offensive side. I believe if you did some goggle-fu, there would be a few pieces on what I just said. I got no trust in tepper, currently....and wilks should not stop the coaching search. I called frank reich the insurance policy, wilks is looking like teppers insurance. Also in wilks defense, I do love the fact hes a real carolina panther supporter and said this was his dream job....i believe that. -
