Was Paul running his triple option during??
-
The mis-managed is due to talent and cap. Before the claims they were under the cap, i believe around 3 million. Are those no names additions worth 11 million in cap space?? They gave chaisson a 500,000 SB and 500,000 salary guarantee. One carried the two, thats 1 million pissed away or pissed into the -8,000,000 they were over. In which they "fixed" by giving a ok-good RT Moton nearly 40 million cap number next year. They signed a injured Wonnum, nearly all teams you need to past a physical. They were hoping he could only miss OTAs and mini, but make TC....Bad luck with the set-back, thats why you sign healthy players. They gave him what 8 million for the 2024 season aka 17 games....well best now is 13 games along with being cut next year.(7 million saving) I do agree this will take longer than just one off-season. I have to keep telling my myself that. Also at the same time, all the effort to correct seems like much of the same mis-takes that got us here. You are right about distributed of cap funds, im guitly of hating that. 163 million on OGs, jesus H christ I thought BY was some god-like PG that you could SAVE money with, not spend/trade for 10 elite players around him. I do need to allow morgan to work his vision and not mirco each move, I just feel hes making mistakes along the way. (his djack for johnson and future 2nd were excellent). Its a big mess the biggest in NFL, he needs full yearS of work.

My honestly reason for naming navy or any military unit, is reinforcing the grave difference at the lines. You dont see any 300 LBer best I recall(PT), while even big HS have a couple ones. Best i recall, the triple option was used to combat this difference and it shocked those big schools a couple times in history. Paul Johnson running that was fine art in motion.

I think sewell has moved or the plan is to move to LT. That would explain his high number. Everyone else seems to be right. The main issue with the contract is panthers have "re-done" it atleast twice and made that 30 million cap number, in truth Moton has helped the team each time including this recent 3rd one. Again, just awful cap management. Personally Ive never been a fan, you seemed to be the total opposite. I have never thought of him as top 3 or 5 or even 10. My personal beef is he never became the LT, even after many ties during TC. I remember one off-season Daryl Williams was coming off a ACL tear and Moton remained at RT. Then williams got chewed on for that whole year as LT. Im not the NFL super fan I was, so me saying theres 12-15 better RTs would not said with much confidence. I just dont know the league like I once did, so I could be wrong about thinking hes in the 10-16 range. Just going off past knowledge on RTs with using that list- Lane johnson has gotten popped twice for PEDs and had a bad injury or two. Taylor just signed that deal and KC had to overpay cause they lost LT Brown. Ram is on season ending IR but Id say hes had alittle better career-wise. Others not much there to rank them, i maybe short changing Moton upon reviewing.

Before today, I thought he had a good chance to be cut. 30-40 million for average-good RT is bad football, no matter the scale. Now no idea. I do know If cut all those void years hit at once. Dalton was the other one. So Colbert, Shaq, and Dalton will push the dead cap to 30ish million. I honestly see no end within the next 2-3 years, Moton contract is another 30 dead space whenever he's cut.

Panthers name captains for the 2024 season
Basbear replied to Carolina Panthers's topic in Carolina Panthers
I recall RR having a special captain a few weeks. Like if the player was miss-treated by opponent that week. Ron made them a captain for that week. Its a mind games deal. -
It would be totally fine if there was no cap space so long its used on real young talent. This has to be the first time devoid of talent with no cap space. The only only proven player that deserves their big check is dbrown. Everyone else is overpaid or unknown.

Eddy will be the best fantasy panther, the same as 23... Kickers are players too!!
-
The biggest difference is the lines. The worst NFL DL would completely own the best college OL. Same for OL vs DL. The NFL team would simply run the ball at will, then gain like 300 yards and control the clock. It's like when you navy or Campbell or Harvard vs one of the big programs. Be like 72-3 for the terrible NFL team.

It's not chaisson being cut, its the miss-manage with the cap and timing of the cut. Panthers gave the guy 1 million in guarantees and news comes out they are 8 mill in the red. Timing wise, he's been here for all the OTAs, mini, TC etc. He even made it past the big cut and now days before the week one.... at the weakest spot?? FYI - if you take away clowney the Panthers have ZERO NFL sacks on the the roster at OLB. ZERO. If you add up DTs and LBs, is what 3.55 form 2023? I think 87 year old Troy hill is #2 in sacks or maybe Shaq is. Still the fact is the team struggles with sacks and that was with luvu&BB. Awful timing(theme for them), terrible cap management, and zero sacks for the group.

The hit rate is low for them in the 1st. Honestly the best rounds for TEs is 3-5. There's plenty of 5th round studs. Sanders could be added, he's just a rookie and got a clear path if he puts in the work. I'd have 2 overpaided TEs and own the middle field each week.
-
Steven Sullivan is a FA. They released him with a injury settlement aug1st.
-
Was Thomas placed on IR?? There maybe a couple IR erereresssss (new) 2morrow with the first injury report. Something is going on with the TEs.. The new TE at a glance seems like a blocking specialist. There's huge ??????? going on with the CBs, OLB, and TEs. Just looks like they could not get CBs to try out here and claimed 3 in order to check them out. Just 7 is far too many, most years they carried 4 for periods, 5 max. TEs no fuging clue, someone is shitting the bed and eating breakfast afterwards. OLB HC even doesnt know. they cut a young former 1st couple days before the game and he's been here for the whole OTAs, Mini, TC etc. Can you see the team if clowney goes down with a injury??- shiit show
-
I think both TEs will be on it. (Thomas tremble) 99% on them.. Horn...... XL..... and maybe Colbert....

There's just soooo much to fix. Plus it seems he's confused given the last few moves along with being over the cap. His best method is just to nail the draft and not sign some monster contract bust. Panthers need young talent, that's the key to solving this mess. Load the team up with young talent each year and it will be fixed.

the bungals are 18th on the wavier, it seems he wasn't highly thought of like most(include me) believed. I got no clue what they are doing for OLB after clowney, they did try out Charles Harris. If they wait after week one the salary is not guaranteed. That's about it unless you trust Randy Gregory to not fail the easiest drug test in the world(he will) https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/free-agents/_/year/2024/status/available/position/edge/sort/contract_value Honestly the best route is trade, but ALL teams are looking for edge help. Ultra high demand and low supply, thus 2025 draft is the way......

-
Watch them call up a PS player and starter them, Tarron Jackson come on down!! You are the stating OLB for this week!!
-
You know they had to godfather offer him, cause this is the biggest cap mess in the league. They owe millions and have the least talent, as bad as it gets...
-
I forgot the stooges name but he's like the VP of panthers drafting now. He was on the jags team for that 2020 draft in which the Panthers traded for CJ and Laviska Shenault Jr.
