Xavier Legette left practice early with lower leg injury
Basbear replied to PantherBoy95's topic in Carolina Panthers
Sounds to me like they need to get him a better fitting cleat. I bet no one has even thought to out-fit him with custom ones. -
Xavier Legette left practice early with lower leg injury

Why didn't professor X just move his legs with his mind powers?!?!? -
The last small bit of " draft give a fug " was near gone after that trade for the the injured brooks. The one spot you could say " well at least there's some depth there " was RB with Hubbard, inches, and blackshear. Even had penny in here and you know some UDFA would have turned some heads too... It felt like the last straw, then to hear Morgan go " The RB are important to us ", ........well for the past 20 years the league has de-valued them Danny boy....same for your 3rd round pick...... Brooks needs to break some panthers records now to make people forget. My friend said a couple days after the draft- "Dan just drafted like he was still playing".. too true. Should have just kept fox or even RR along fuging Marty herinay, cause it felt just like it they were still here but the team is much worse.

I believe he was outside, but that was before the injury. Seemed to be on a good path. I mean time-wise its been over year and he should be in great current shape.
-
That's one area Im surprised he doesnt use more, I honestly can not think of one player that Dan Morgan has claimed. I think fitttttererererer was the same in his lack of claims, but he did claim that once great seahawk CB. Still waiting dan.......

That's a killer for a rookie. There were a whole bunch of WRs around that point and watching it sort itself out in future years will be full of "Why didn't team ______ pick Coleman/ladd/mitchel etc"). I mean its unfair for ladd with herbo being compared to XL as well. I was truly hoping Wiggins would fall 3 spots more, cause I thought he was the best CB/defender and with pick 39 get the WR that dropped and let them grow together. Good reports had NE after XL hardcore. He's a panther and this coaching staff, if its there's one spot they *should be great at its WR. They genuinely wanted XL. But I can not help but feel like the days of past with herniay picking 2-7 and hating each pick......followed by fans taking up for him.
-
I was team ladd as well, few other huddlers were too. The best I can say is up-side wise I'd say XL is the better pick.( even with the 4 year wait). I just thought Ladd would be a instant 70 rec machine each year for his rookie contract.

torn Achilles...... in late 2022. Before that he had a starting job, that's one hell of gut punch after putting in 4years of prep/work. Best I see is PS

I foresee Nathan Peterman as the next Panther QB

They cut him a few hours ago! I bet he's already in Charlotte or at the airport... -
I bet Dan claims the true GOAT, its already DONE mebets!!

I think the ark C got a similar contract as well. You are right, crazy as it sounds spending a few hundred thousand on UDFAs and cutting them before the season is just part of the business. I know you remember the hair dude underwood(?) that Dave gave him like 400,000-600,000 SB and he didn't make the roster. It happens too much, but that's just the current market. I honestly thought Dan had a better UDFA haul than his draft haul. He spent a high amount and was very aggressive. Couple guys should make the team and few should be on the PS. He got some talent and wasted money, but that's the only way. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/player/_/id/91441/andrew-raym I don't think he makes the team.

Training Camp for 7/30/2024 (first padded practice!)
Basbear replied to Icege's topic in Carolina Panthers
Seems the first great practice since the 2010s. Hope more are coming! -
As much as I hate it, Sean Payton is the best play caller for periods during the Brees era. Plus he's one hell of designer too. Unless Reid got Brees, I don't see the success.

I've been thinking, crazy as it sounds I believe they need to trade AT or dare say cut him if the cap ramifications aren't too dire. They are not winning this year and AT may only have this year, plus if I recall last year was rough enough on him that he may welcome a change. I keep thinking he makes the most sense, even tho it feels 50 iq Mingo seems to fit the slot as well. {<puts on poo armor>}

I guess a hand-off machine is worthy of being 1st overall. It's just bad resource usage. I mean if you wanted a rock climbing vehicle, it doesn't make sense to buy drag racing wheels and motors.. Just super upsetting to witness. Even the 39th 2023 pick and 31st 2024 pick for WRs to block....ugh. I feel you are right, he re-viewed some old tape and told his BFF dan- "bro only chance is running the ball and give me a 6 yr deal cause this is madness!!!"
-
Ive thrown in the towel for the 2023 season. The DVR was exorcised weeks after the final game. In 2017 times Id watch some old games during the PS, NOT this year!
-
Only deal that saved him was he had to gain teppers trust somehow. Marty herniay proved how easy it was. After about three weeks into Dave's hiring, I wished Dan hired evero instead. But I get the offensive staff would have been impossible to keep if success came. I wish one of the reporters would ask if the RPO will be apart of this years system and if so how much? It never made sense why frank never put it in some plays last year. I think this a big deal, imo.

My god, I think its time...

Yo Dave...... start leaning on Jim Caldwell.

Panthers S Sam Franklin out with a broken foot
Basbear replied to WarPanthers89's topic in Carolina Panthers
One of the only true dawgs on the team and like NcBlu said "he was the only Baylor/temple rhule guy that ended up being good". Roy was ok for a couple seasons and now he's bouncing around. Terrible terrible I still feel Franklin would make one hell of a WLB in a 4-3 system.
