Honestly outside brown, the new OGs, and maybe safety.......about ANY BPA would be a upgrade. I swear never seen this team lack this much talent. I feel even the 95 group was better and the 1-15 crew had rookie Dan, Smitty, and Jenkins. That's what's needed another draft class like that. It's my #1 thing heading into the Dannys first draft, will he go BPA or not upset current players. He needs to be heartless in this draft, cause by the time the Panthers are good this draft class will need to be re-signed. Just need a dose of young talent, no matter where they play. Would be lucky if BPA needs up at edge/WR.

Notebook: Dave Canales likes new-look offensive line
Basbear replied to Carolina Panthers's topic in Carolina Panthers
Conner WIlliams is still out there, he's a C/OG and started......12 games at center next to hunt last year. I don't know why he's still un-signed, must be a injury deal.........(just looked, yep he got a acl week 14). Still toss him a min type of deal, can not hurt even as a backup. He's a former 3rd round steal that started on Dallas, whom draft as well as any team. Again ACL are not big deals these days, its silly to think Colbert can play C. He should be ready for TC and or week 1. -
Hes not the same since the ACL two years ago, but he'd still be the starter on this team. He did play in 50% of last year's snaps, that's a great sign. Panthers need alllllllll the help possible, they are not in the position to be picky.

Dan is doing the depth signings now, no issues here. -
Yea, I sorta remember him getting a million SB and got cut shortly after. Form our panthers of course, thanks again fittrrerererererfer. Panthers need depth more than any other team. He's a camp guy and he's best shot at making any team is Carolina. He's also got ST skills too.

This is the type of signing I go for. Read his wiki- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yosh_Nijman Packers thought enough to place a 2nd round tender on him in 2023. Got valuable RT< snaps. Arod gave him his blessing publicity, he's not known for doing that. Seems like a good spot starter and swing guy on game day. 3rd time I liked Danny boys moves, speaking of which- https://www.packers.com/video/yosh-nijman-gives-a-breakdown-of-his-robot-dance

If he signed with panthers- "Dan is COOKING!!!!! 2nd overall pick BURNS WHO!?!?!?!" Sign with another NFC South team- " LOLOLOLOLOlllolols, he's a bust that gives no effort!! "

Pickett, ridder, Howell, lance, fields, and Jones have already been traded for Subway coupons. Wilson, Trask, Corral and Mond have either been cut and going to be. Bust central and this list could be worse after the 2024 season

I swear there will be more Geno Smith like comeback stories from these QBs in the last 4 QBs. Why are teams heavy investing in prime capital and giving up after a couple years? Terrible way to handle these young men. Plus it seems the Panthers set value for former 1st round QBs, that 5th looks too much now and I thought it was well worth the risk. What the fug is going with this panic league two QB craziness? You cannot tell me allll these GMs, scouts, and coaches are wrong after two years on nearly every QB pick.
-
By the looks, he's cut and stays home for awhile......then a QB injury hits and he's called for a try-out only. I mean Im not a fan (just like fields, Howell, Pickett, etc) but he's got elite skills and I don't just say that. 2nd overall and just a awful big city fit. He's still young. Plus if you look at the last 4 drafts and focus on QBs, my God it's a horror show!! Like 2 decent picks and 25 terrible ones....WHY would any team trade up with those odds...Just wait a year or two and send a late 6th and the 3rd overall pick in 2022 is yours.....lance, Pickett, fields, Wilson, etc etc etc.
-
I was just saying the market value for young QBs is either multiple 1sts or late 6th round.....soooo weird. No mid market cost, either kings haul or peanuts Steelers 2023 QB room was early 1st, mid 1st, and mid 3rd....allll young and each had starts in which they showed some skills. ALL GONE 2024 QB room a guy that two years was traded for 1sts, 2ns, 5th, former 1st, former early QB 2nd, and rotation DLmen. 2020 9th overall pick who gotten better each start. One of the cheapest total cost in the NFL.
-
Yea, one of the worse trades in panthers history. Only way I stayed sane during that dumbass trade was seeing the Wilson and Watson trades look much worse. Jets got fitterereerer to call their buff, should have said " Well dougluas good luck on going to training camp with darnold and Wilson circus that is NY media sperging at every throw..
-
I mean what's the downside?? he beats out caleb williams??? oOoOO noes!1!1!!! Say Williams starts and is super struggling, well fields is there cheap, talents, and got exp. Why is it you can not have more than one talented&young QBs?? Look everyone has to compete and do so every year against a younger cheaper draft pool. Even if fields came up to the " I can not play behind that kid....." Bas- " Well I can not trade a 9th overall talented young player for a 6th, welcome to the pros..."
-
I agree, why is the difference between value either two 1sts, 2nd, and 4th or 50$ Kohl's gift card that's half used. Howell, fields, and even Pickett for peanuts......what is going on?? Those guys have real NFL wins, snaps and still awful young. And here the Panthers sit with young at the wheel..... while those young guns are traded for late round value.....plus its not like anyone has a 50 million salary. Upside is too good even if you're a not a fan..
