Official Panthers Visits/Prospect Meetings Tracker
Basbear replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yea I over looked the list last week and had the thought "this list seems like the plan is to trade back one of the 2s...." Still need to see how Morgan attacks the draft, cause young talent is the biggest need for this team. The track record, no matter the GM.... for rounds 2-4 is dogshit. Even finding just average players in the mid-late would be a great start....- 109 replies

I believe he was IR'd for the whole year, that's another 600,000+. I think he was drafted to rid the last remaining locker room leadership, just my honest feel. Rhule wanted the total control and the players depended on his joke of a staff. I still praised the huddle during that draft, nearly all of us were screaming for trey Smith starting the 4th. Didn't know about his med issues, but KC has made it work and he's been solid above average OG. I mean who needs that when you can write the 100million check........

🚨Tony Pauline: Panthers interested in CB Mike Sainristril @33
Basbear replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think the top paid NB is at 9 million per, Id even take a safety over a NB. Sure its the base and all, but a safety is on for 100% of the plays, NB maybe 65%. If you fail outside, they try you at NB. -
Draft Rumors/Charlie Campbell Notes (Per r/NFL_Draft)

Just stirring the pot, I got no clue how Morgan operates. Plus sure the combine information is available, but not each teams doc evaluations. -
Draft Rumors/Charlie Campbell Notes (Per r/NFL_Draft)
Basbear replied to Bear Hands's topic in Carolina Panthers
All depends on what the team docs evaluation is, but hip and concussions for a OL are hard to forgive a center that gets in car wrecks 60 times a game..... The medicals are the one thing us fans don't have, honestly if a player is dropping and no one knows why- poor medicals. WHo knows, Morgan could be the one behind those leaks too....... -

Im going to stand with this one until draft, its my best even if the WR is walker...*got in the 4th and sanders is/should be a top target for young too...makes up somewhat. Just how it fell, Barton is a dream being the only C with a 1st, chop lasted until 39 another dream, and got a future starter in huddle draft fav eichenburg. One issue can be the CB, but its impossible to fix every need with only 7 picks and not more early ones. Thomas was a BPA, wanted a WR, but at that point (240) the next few picks then its UDFA tunderdome. Pick the best and sign some WRs and CBs as UDFAs.

Thanks fellow bear, I enjoyed the work you put into many of your posts just like MHS!

You have what I feel is the perfect top 4 *if they were BPA at the time-WR, C, CB, and edge. I know I speak BPA non-stop, but I also feel strongly that those first four spots benefit the most. I also feel CB must be either 33rd or 39, but I have not done a deep drive into mid-late CB, just feel its major....the major hole currently and makes most sense to use a 2nd here. Just me tho. Honestly using another late pick there wouldn't hurt given the high success rate. I will say this, I think you need to add a LB as well(preferred 5-7). Just nothing behind Shaq and Jewell, with the new KO LB maybe the best players. Panthers need LBs, young ones. TE I feel is super weak this year, imo its best to ignore until the 5-7 rounds. 2 WRs 1 C 1 edge 1 CB 1 LB 1 TE/CB/DL/RB/S/BPA/etc That's what I normally shoot for, but talent overrides.
